It was pretty busy when we got there but luckily our group was small, three of us. We were seated on the 2nd floor which was pretty roomy and a bit warm but then again, we are in a pizzeria. I ended up ordering the La Bella Vita pizza which had mozzarella, pepperoni sausage, Italian salame, torn chicken breast, and bacon. It was delicious and the cheese was perfect and not too cheesy. The sauce on the pizza had a great taste that put it over the top, amazing. I paired it well with my Aperol Spritz and took in the views while eating. Our waitress was great and recommended some must see locations while we were in town. She was great. If I ever come back to Bath, I will definitely stop by again because there were some other menu items that caught my eye and plus, the service was great.

Shared one of their specialty pizzas (very tasty, only wish there'd been a bit more generous helpings of the meat topping, as not every slice had it), Caesar salad (big portion, perfect for sharing), and a sampler of their dipping sauces (for the crust -- so good!). They also brought out a pitcher of cold water for the table (an appreciated touch). Would recommend!

The Fine Cheese - Cheese plate for two. Absolutely delicious!

The incredibly knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, incredibly engaging cheesemonger from France basically only had eyes for me (or so it felt; they take care of their customers so well here! I've never felt so spoiled!), and spent quite a bit of time both talking cheese with me and letting me try loads of different samples from locally made sources. I got quite a few options, and he did a spectacular job at giving me just enough of each so that I could have a Wine + Cheese Night For One back at my AirBnB. I also picked up some crackers, olives, and incredibly garlicky hummus. If you love cheese, do yourself a favor and come here. Even if you don't know where to begin except traits you like (funky, creamy, earthy, salt crystaly), they'll know exactly where to steer you, and will probably delight and surprise you along the way!

And the Tiffany blue of the store is what caught our eye, and lucky we did see it because we had a most lovely picnic.

We were told it would be 20 minutes for a table but were seated in 10 much to our surprise as it was absolutely packed out that night. The waiter who seated us bore a striking resemblance to Frankie Dettori and had an exuberant personality to match and this was matched by all the staff we encountered that night. All of them were friendly and welcoming and made us feel like we were old friends. The menu was varied and after much deliberation over a lovely glass of frascati we decided upon a starter of tuna carpacchio (one of the specials that day), mozzarella infornata, penne toscana, fillet steak pepe verde, insalata romanesca and sides of rucola e parmigiano and zucchini fritti. The tuna was supremely tender with a light seared edge and the drizzle of balsamic combined perfectly with the peppery rocket garnish and the squeeze of lemon. The mozzarella was wrapped in speck and oozed satisfyingly from its salty crispy shell. The salads were fresh and alive with flavour, the pasta perfectly al dente with a generous sauce of succulent Italian sausage and a deep and rich red wine. My dish of steak was delicious. I barely needed to chew the meat it was that tender and so juicy and full of rich flavour with the pop and peppery hit of green peppercorns. It was served with green beans (squeaky and delightful) and meltingly soft savoury potato slices. Favourite of all was the zucchini fritti, matchstick strips of courgette in a light and airy crispy parmesan batter, simply delectable! To finish we shared the vanilla and amaretto semi-fredo which was creamy and soft with a lovely crunchy coating and once more from a good Italian restaurant, fantastic coffee. The only reason this has 4 stars instead of 5 was that the vegetable sides with the steak were a little on the ungenerous side, especially the potatoes, six slices(half a pound coin thickness) of such a tasty spud is just not enough!! The pizzas seemed very popular that night, I wonder if they deliver to Rochdale....?

Same Same But Different was on my short list of places to visit for brunch during my trip to Bath;…read morefrom the rave reviews across every platform and the stunning food photos, I knew I had to check it out. The space itself has a hipster casual vibe, which is definitely a scene I'm comfortable in. Lots of wood and dark colors and fun light fixtures, there's even a few tables outside (but good luck snagging those during even remotely nice weather!). It's a relaxed atmosphere that's great for groups of friends, breakfast dates, or solo travelers looking to hide in a corner and study. If you're a fan of a bloody mary, definitely be sure to get one here! Unfortunately, in my opinion, both the food and the service were tremendously disappointing. I'll start with the former: I ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast that comes with a fried egg, grilled halloumi, mushrooms, baked beans, grilled tomato, spinach and hashbrowns. According to the menu, there's also unlimited toast and tea (or americano) when no substitutions, but neither of those options were apparently available to me. The food itself was plentiful, but unmemorable (and bland) compared to similar breakfasts I've had elsewhere. And the staff was, for lack of a kinder word, rude. Dismissive, too. It was actually the worst service I had during my entire trip, and it stinks when a place stands out for that, but that's what I'm gonna remember from SSBD.

As we were making our way there leisurely, we came across Nonna's and the "2 meals for £9.95" appealed to us since we were on a budget so we went here instead. We were very happy with this decision. There weren't many people eating so we appreciated the quietness and the attentive service from the wait staff. They were very welcoming, pleasant and timely. My boyfriend and I both ordered a calamari as our app. He in particular was happy to have his own serving of calamari instead of sharing! I guess I don't blame him, I was happy as well :) The calamari was lightly breaded. The dip was very refreshing and paired well with the calamari. For his entree, he ordered the margherita. Our first thought was how big the pizza was! Since it was lunch and we were ordering from a special menu for this deal, we automatically assumed the portion would be small. But it wasn't at all! I didn't try the pizza but it looked very delicious. I ordered the cannelloni with ricotta and spinach instead. It came with three cannellonis. I personally felt there could've been a bit more stuffing, but the cheese and white sauce over top made up for it. It was a delicious meal and I would totally recommend it. It's not full of tourists and on the way to The Circle so after your meal, checking out the Circle would be a nice walk to shred the calories!

It was a…read moreSunday, and most things in Bath are closed, so we thought we super lucked out that this place is open. Unfortunately, it was terrible luck. Maybe it was me and my love for seafood, as the food we ordered is terribly fishy tasting. We started with a bruschetta with octopus (polpo) and all you can smell is fish when the dish arrived - and of course it's all you can taste. For dinner, I got the seafood linguine in tomato and white wine sauce and my boyfriend got the beef ravioli. The good thing is that the linguini was not short of seafood, with shrimps, prawns, mussels, calamari, and octopus. The terrible part is that it all tasted like old fish. I tried my bf's ravioli and i thought it was pretty good, but he complained about it the entire time, saying it was not that good - and really, anything is probably pretty good compared to my fishy linguine. The service was odd too. We felt rushed despite there was no one in the restaurant, and the server kept trying to get us to order more food and didn't like the fact we didn't order wine (had to drive) or dessert (the starter and mains were too terrible for us to want to eat whatever else they had to offer). The bill was reasonable i suppose, at around 10-15 quid a dish. I wish this wasn't where i ate for the day of my bday.
