Second visit to this restaurant and the food was excellent. I tried the linguini with clams in white sauce and I must say it was the best I've ever eaten. The weddiing soup was also very good. Something to note: They're finally including bread with the meals which is a change from the last visit although the bread isn't anything special. Hard to believe they're less than two miles from the Massoli Italian Bakery on Brittain Road that bakes the best Italian bread in Summit county. Massoli's twist with sesame seed in the best bread you will ever eat. It would be a great accompaniment to any of this restaurant's meals That being said, I'll try the linguini with clams in the red sauce on my next visit. read more

Did a takeout order to try this place. I love how they renovated the space after taking over the Mexican place. Hostess was very friendly but the wait time was longer than stated. I ordered crab stuffed walleye and rice. It was delicious but way too much sauce. They can reduce it by half and still have a lot. The chimmichuri rice was amazing! We also ordered the eggplant parmesean with rigatoni. Unfortunately they gave us spaghetti instead. But we didn't know until we got home and didn't want to go back. My only complaint was the bartender attitude. I was told to stand at the end of the bar by the hostess. The bartender asked me to move from the server area to the bar but his personality wasn't warm. He seemed annoyed with the male server and there was tension. We are going to try an in person visit next time. read more

The food, service, and ambiance had all surpassed my expectations. This newer place in Akron has great pasta and the spicy margherita sauce was spicy when it said it would be. The interior was on theme and well done. I have pictures of the bar and high vaulted ceilings. It was very busy but our server made it a priority to check on us in a timely manner each time. I tried their seasonal menu drink, the strawberry gin fizz and the only negative about it was the loud mixer machine at the bar that shook it lol, it was very well balanced as was my wife's strawberry mocktail. My wife tried the blackened grouper with mashed potatoes and asparagus, she thought it was a great pairing. We both tried the lobster bisque and it didn't disappoint. I did like this place and might even be back due to it being walking distance to where my BF lives but I gotta give my first impressions: -lovely interior space. High ceilings, plenty of seating, booth seating, cool lighting, tasteful decor, cool looking bar area -our waiter was fine; not overly friendly but took a really long time between us finishing our meals and having to find him to come back to bring us boxes, our checks, refill water, etc. -menu selection was nice. There were a couple of things that looked good! -wish the waiter would've told or reminded us about the extra charge for lobster bisque and the pineapple salad dressing instead of finding out on our bill -BF said his chicken parmesan tasted good -I ordered linguini and clams. The only good thing about this dish is the presentation. Ohio has just been devastating for this dish. I've ordered it multiple times at different Italian restaurants and it just baffles me how little seasoning goes into this dish. We got a little table in a corner alone, which ended up perfect since we were celebrating our 21st anniversary The restaurant has been renovated since the last occupant (Mexican) and they did a great job elevating it to be modern and comfortable. We had a round of quite tasty drinks. Creative and flavorful. I would like to see a few more wines offered by the glass. But I found one I enjoyed with dinner. The menu has a nice variety of choices without being too big and overwhelming. There is a "create your pasta" that offers more than the typical boring choices We started with the bruschetta. Tasted like a homemade bread with a fresh mix of tomato onion and spices and a tangy sweet balsamic topping. Soup or salad come with your entrees, I enjoyed a really flavor blended lobster bisque. Buttery, creamy and comforting Dinner we had steak fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken francaise which the chef was kind enough to my love of piccata and tossed in capers. The arrangement on the plates are done with care and make beautiful food to eat! The portions are generous and not obscene. We both took home leftovers. A small and silly note, but the cheap silverware. The elevated and delicious food deserves beautiful silverware to eat with. I didn't see the dessert menu because the sweet manager brought us a house made tiramisu for our anniversary. What a sweet ending. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. He apologized for delay because of them being new but we hadn't even noticed. The pace was relaxed yet not slow. I was impressed with Pasta E Basta. Lobster Bisque is the best I've had to date. Large pieces of lobster in every bite! Salad was a traditional salad and the ranch dressing was amazing and the star of the salad. My husband had the Chicken Marsala and said it was in the top 3 he has ever eaten and he's had a lot of different Marsala. I had the Diablo Chicken made spicy and it too was exceptional. Chicken for both was so juicy and tender. Absolutely not complaints and we definitely be back! Love having a gem like this so close to home. The ambiance was perfect for a date night, family gathering, and a night out with friends. You just cannot go wrong. The waitress service we received was top notch. Our waitress was the perfect amount of friendly and came back the perfect amount of times to check on us. I enjoyed being left a craft of water so we never had an empty cup. read more

I have been here twice and the food is very Good and they give you Big portions ..... ( my mom orders spaghetti and meatballs everywhere we eat and always complains , But she raved about how good they are here) the staff is very friendly and curtious, and check in on you accordingly... so far very good . Food is very good and great service. We had Theresa as our waitress, she was very friendly and personable. Bruschetta was delicious. Our table of 4 all ordered different things and we all enjoyed our meals. Egg plant cake was delicious, interesting name and very tasty. Waited almost 15 minutes at the bar and were never asked what we wanted to drink, so we left. Not much interest in trying it again

2 of the 4 main dishes of our party weren't really up to par. The grouper was salted beyond acceptable. The seafood medley was the reverse with very little flavor. The chicken francaise was ok,a little one note with the lemon but decent. The stuffed walleye with crab and sauce was really enjoyed by our one party member and would get again. As far as appetizers, they served the mussels in marinara with multiple closed mussels...that just shows lack of attention. The arancini were actually quite good, rich and creamy also served in the marinara which by the way is good . Biggest problem was this place is slow. Got there at 4 and completed meal at 6:30...we were observing and every table had slow food to table service. Our server was very pleasant and it did not appear to be the servers fault. There have been 3 failed restaurants at this location and I keep hoping one succeeds. This one may. Dined there last week. The waiter was attentive and not bothersome. This is another place that charges extra if you use a credit card. I personally hate that trend. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my spouse had the chicken francaise. It comes with pasta. She thought the chicken was good but lacked flavor. I had a Caesar salad if you could call it that. A handful of lettuce and a couple of shavings of cheese with no croutons. Skippiest Caesar I've ever had. Since they don't serve bread with their meals, unless you want to buy three slices for $4. Hense no stale bread to make croutons. My wife had the wedding soup and said it was excellent. The pasta is basically a-la-carte. You can select meatsauce, meatballs, chicken etc., all extra. The spaghetti and meaball combo was good. Their alcohol prices are above average with $12.50 for a martini and $7.28 for a 12 oz draft beer. There were 50+ people on the night we were there. Meh. Wouldn't comeback. Didn't try any cocktails, our table didn't have a drink menu so we actually didn't know they did speciality cocktails until we were leaving. Arancini was on the February specials menu and that was really good. Salad that came with the entree was super basic and very bland. Lobster bisque was not great. Couldn't put our finger on why but almost thought it tasted artificial. I ordered the build your own pasta and got fettuccine with alfredo and grilled shrimp, the grilled shrimp was pretty good. My husband's dish is what really lost us - he ordered the seafood medley dish. Menu says it comes with their lobster sauce. As soon as the plate hit the table we looked at each other because the sauce.. was their lobster bisque. That we had just had and didn't like. Kind of wild to use your bisque as a sauce? It was also really disappointing that you get no complimentary bread. I don't know any other Italian places that don't serve bread with meals.. especially at the prices they are charging. We are local and would really love to have a great restaurant in this location but this just wasn't it for us. $93 bill (after 20% tip) for no drinks, 1 app, and 2 entrees. read more
