Loved Passé, the aesthetics, and the wait staff! The place is so new that they don't have signature cocktails yet, but I was able to order a mimosa and I saw other tables getting alcoholic drinks too. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with no tomatoes while my mom had the fried oyster Caesar salad. We both were pleased with the dishes! Super hot and tasty. I'm excited to come back when they're a bit more established and try the breakfast which stops at 10AM! read more

The decor is nice. We were the first to arrive around 11 am on a Sunday. We ordered breakfast brunch and our items were Lukewarm. I ended up asking for my grits to be warmed up more. Passé in Baton Rouge is delicious! First up, the Shrimp & Crawfish Dip - creamy, cheesy heaven with crispy pork rinds for dunkin'. Tuna Tartare with spicy ahi tuna, shrimp, and avocado with a wasabi aioli drizzle - very flavorful. The Pork Chop Tchoupitoulas was a perfectly grilled bone-in chop smothered in New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp, all on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Food coma material, but the good kind. For lighter palates, the Catfish Origin delivered blackened spice on fluffy rice with rich etouffee, while the New York Strip satisfied with its spice kick and perfectly cooked potatoes. Lastly, the Mardi Gras Pasta! The penne was bursting with succulent shrimp, smoky andouille, and blackened chicken, all cloaked in a heavenly house-made cream sauce. I'll pass on Passé. Mediocre is being generous. It's another case of "we have to squeeze a restaurant in here for the hotel" but don't think this place could stand on its own or draw in city folks. We were the only people eating brunch this weekend and it took an inordinate amount of time to get food. I can't imagine if they were busy. Wife ordered eggs over medium and got scrambled. Asked for salt and pepper which isn't on the table and waiter never brought it. Biscuits sound good, but start over - dry and below par. My sirloin steak (and eggs) was actually pretty good, the highlight on an otherwise forgettable experience. Hash browns were decent as well. Uninspired! Just Pass if anyone suggests it. read more

Food was really good, our server was sweet, sadly we were a table of two with only a handful of people in the restaurant on lunch break and our orders were raw or seared tuna entrees so the timing on these usually are not typically to long but we waited well over 30 mins for both with only us as a table and 3 to go orders waiting. Atmosphere was adorable, service was great. Management and another server seamed a little lost or fairly new, maybe in time things will vibe more and they will get on their toes ! Menu selection looks really good and presentation of food and freshness was on point. Only 3 stars for the wait, price point runs a little high it is more of an up scale venue so that's to be expected . I give five stars for my server doing the most to step in to make up for any disappointment that was noted. First and last visit to Passé. Service was incredibly slow, took a long time to get our food despite just a few patrons in restaurant. Our drinks were only refilled once, and glasses were very small, like 6-8 ounces. But I did think the pink glasses were aesthetically pleasing. The crawfish beignets were basically deep fried pancake batter with very little crawfish; just skip this bland appetizer. Crawfish bread was pretty good, probably my favorite dish of everything we ordered. There were no oysters, despite several oyster offerings on the menu. Burger was dry. Fried chicken sandwich was dry and unseasoned, but the portion of the chicken breast was substantial. The fried Buffalo chicken dip balls were very tangy and cheesy. The cucumber to tuna ratio in the Tuna Tartar was overwhelming; just call it a cucumber salad. Also, not the best tuna. A cracker or Melba toast or sliced garlic bread or breadstick would have been a great accompaniment with the tartar. The dish needed something! There are better places to eat. I wouldn't consider this place a "French" restaurant, perhaps Cajun/American. read more

I really wanted to like this place but fell short in all areas. We first ordered simple drinks, gin & tonic and a lemon drop martini. The martini glass was half full and no sugar rim or lemon slice in my drink. We ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters and I don't think they were even grilled. They were Luke warm at best and the bread was not toasted. Think they were just heated up in an oven. My wife ordered the Chicken Fricassee which, according to the menu, was supposed be a breast but was almost all dark meat. I ordered the redfish which was supposed to have crayfish & andouille in it but neither was present. The fish was good though. If the description on the menu doesn't match what you get, what's the point? The interior was well it and nicely laid out. If they don't get their act together, it won't last. There is just too many great choices within walking distance of this place that are way better. Hope they do better. read more

Was Downtown for parade and stopped in. My family was meet by the friendliest staff. They made the beat hot chocolate for the kids since it was cold outside. Welcomed us to a table and had a great time. Appears Yo be well staffed and johnny on the spot. Would recommend to anyone. read more

What a weird experience. Online menu apparently nonexistent. When we sat down, we were handed an overpriced "bar bites" menu for our family of five that had 6 choices on it. None of them were Vegan friendly like the online menu. Such a beautiful location to be wasted by bad management. Passe is a great new place. We arrived between Lunch and Dinner on a Sunday. Very Quiet at the time. Boudin Burger was very good. Great French Fries. The Seafood Beignets were more like hush puppies in texture than beignets. Taste was wonderful.
