I had to wait a while to write this review to see how the fence held up. I wanted a copper wood…read morefence because of the guaranteed 25 year warranty against cracking, splitting, and wear and tear. I contacted Sterling fence along with a couple others and I ended up giving the job to sterling fence company. The cost for this large fence around my entire property was around thirteen thousand dollars. I had several issues with my gates which they came out to repair a couple of times and also some uneven boards which they replaced. I had the fence built back in 2018 and as of today, September 26 of 2021 the fence is in horrible shape. Most of the boards are warping and cracking, the gates were never fixed correctly and I have been told by another contractor that my fence is not a copper wood fence but just a treated pine fence. I believe that after only 3-1/2 years something is not right. I have called Sterling fence on several occasions to make additional repairs or replacement of boards and gates to no avail. Also, the posts that they put in vary from 6' to 7' to 8' apart and because of this the structure is not solidified properly and the fence also leans because they did not use enough concrete to set the posts. The side boards also were not even treated lumber but regular wood and they are also totally warped. I am beyond disgusted with this company and want my fence replaced but good luck with that. I have since reinforced the posts by attaching 2 by 10 treated boards between each post to keep the fence together. I am considering my options. Never again will I recommend or use this company.
