Did you know that if the coils in the compressor get very dirty your A/C system can fail? Well, I found out the hard way two days ago. Around 3 in the afternoon, I noticed it was getting kind of warm in one part of the house and took a look at the thermostat. The actual temp was reading several degrees higher than were I had it set. Uh-oh! The system was running and air was blowing from the vents, but it was not cold air. So I called Paschall. They said someone could be out between 3&5 PM that day and would that be OK? Uh... yea!! Paschall to the rescue! I a nutshell, the tech arrived about 4:30 and by 5 I was already feeling cold air coming out of the vents. Somehow the coils on the compressor for that system had become so dirty it had caused the A/C not to work properly. The tech cleaned the compressor coils and all was well. Turns out it's a good idea to hose them off periodically, especially if you kick up a lot of dirt with yardwork (mowing grass? using leaf blower?) or have cottonwood trees nearby. (I'm also speculating that the amount of dirt in the air from lack of rain may be a contributor). I change the indoor filters regularly, but wasn't aware I was supposed to be hosing the coils, too. I know now. In addition to cleaning the coils, the tech also checked out the rest of the system before he left to verify that was the only problem. I like the folks at Paschall. They're knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to explain the problem and what they're doing to fix it. Also last year, we ended up having Paschall replace two of the three original systems (circa 1995) in the house when they died their untimely deaths. I'm hoping to replace that third system early next spring before it dies (assuming it makes it through this summer and upcoming winter). Plus, I have noticed a difference in our electric bills with the new energy-efficient systems. So that's something. read more

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations! This is the ORIGINAL Paschall company that we have been using for the past 25 years. Wonderfully responsive and kind - they have repaired, replaced and maintained our two heating and A/C units with outstanding results. The owner - Bobby - has personally been at our home on the Christmas holiday in the middle of a cold, Texas night to get our heater up and running so our grandkids would be warm and toasty! My AC went out about a week ago and I got a company to come out and they quoted me 3K to replace coils and handler system but that's not all. They also wanted to do modifications. I called Paschall air conditioning for a second opinion. Coils were fine! It was a valve that needed to be tightened, an o-ring put on and 8 pounds of Freon. We have been using Paschal for 20 plus years. They have installed 2 units while always being cost conscious and professional. You definitely want these honest folks on your side. We will not use no one else. The new Amana ac units have been remarkable in our home. We have a large open home concept that is hard to heat and cool. I scheduled my AC tuneup 2 weeks in advance (unlike the people who write bad reviews because they don't do maintenance on their systems). My AC Tech Jesus arrived on time and was very friendly. He answered all my questions and was very professional and courteous. It took about 45mins to complete. I will be using Paschall next year. read more

Well I ordered a service call last week for Monday for 10-12 appointment time. They call me and said that now they can't get to me because they have no techs in my service area. They say it will be later this afternoon before a tech can get here to service our ac which has not.been working for the last two weeks. I was on the road that time and would not be home to get it fixed. I called way in advance to schedule this appointment so it could be done while I'm at home. Now we have to set here and wait until it's convenient for them to come and fix it. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR FUTURE USE TO ANYONE!!!!!! read more

Please have no reservations calling this company for your Air Conditioning needs! After our AC went out in the middle of the night I called at 7AM and they were able to fit me in at 8AM! After calling a couple other companies the earliest was the dreaded 2PM to 5PM window. Over the phone they even went through a few quick-step troubleshooting processes to see if it was something I could fix on my own. The repairman who came out to our house (Dan) was knowledgeable and willing to walk me through the process (and listen to my elementary questions regarding our AC unit). If any other needs/repairs arise again, I will definitely not hesitate to call them back out! I will be spreading the word about this awesome company as much as I can. read more

High costs, way over priced for labor. Part is probably $150-$200. They wanted $650 for the work on a condenser. Let's say I found another AC specialist to do the job for a 1/3 of the cost. I want good service and would pay for good service. But over 3x the price is simply ripping people off. If you try an use these guys beware you will pay a lot more then you should. read more

My a/c stopped cooling at the beginning of summer. After a record setting heat wave the year before I definitely didn't want to wait to long to get it repaired. I had a wife and a six month old in the house so I called paschal the next day. They sent over an a/c tech the next day. They were extremely nice and very helpful. The only thing wrong was dirty coils so they cleaned it up and charged me a fair price. The ac worked fine for a few days but then it froze up again. I called back and a few days later they sent another tech. He fixed it. Another day went by and it was frozen again. I was very worried that i was going to buy a new system. Called them back and another tech came out. Worked for a week again then stopped cooling. I was about to give up and then the owner said he would come himself. He said there was a moisture in the system and would have to drain the freon and recharge it. This was going to cost around $600. We were worried that it would still not work after this and we would be out the money. The owner said he had 27 years of experience and this is the only possible problem we could have. He even said if it didn't work he would give us a full refund. I trusted him and let them do the work. A week later it was back to freezing up. We called them back out again and they came to the house but did nothing. I started looking up possible solutions online and found the problem. It was a fried circuit board. I called them again and they came out and confirmed. They replaced the part and it has worked great since. We made numerous attempts to contact them about the refund (around 30 phone calls) and never heard anything back. After an entire summer of partially working ac and numerous phone calls we are still waiting to hear from the owner. In the end we do have ac but it was a nightmare dealing with them. Had a home remodel with a complete new HVAC system installed by Paschall. Overall, a pretty good job what I can tell, however, they didn't meet code on one aspect, but came back out to bring up to code. read more

We had 2 AC units go out and our insurance company, Safeco Insurance, sent out Paschal Heat and Air to "diagnose" the problem and report back to them. Alan, the young technician, came out on 8/30/16. He was directed to the location of our AC units that were not working. My family and I were sitting in the living room watching t.v., and Alan addressed us as he walked by to get to the backyard. After a brief period, we heard a buzzing noise that increased in intensity and sound, then suddenly a loud boom. All our electricity went out and my little girl screamed. I jumped up off couch to run outside, in fear Alan had been electrocuted. When I ran around the corner calling for him, he looked up and stated, "I made a mistake". I asked him if he was ok, and he said, "Yes.. but I made a mistake." I told him I was so glad he was ok. He asked me where the electric panels were so he could flip the breakers back on. I walked with him to the garage and showed him. He flipped them on most everything came on, with the exception of the equipment in the living room. After a couple hours of trouble shooting and speaking with his boss, Bobby, the owner, we ended up running an extension cord to another outlet to be able to watch tv. The equipment hooked to the tv no longer worked. We printed up a statement describing exactly what happened and all hte equipment that was not working and had Alan, the technician, sign it. Bobby came out early the next morning to see if he could fix the outlets not working, as well as the equipment. He could not either. When Bobby, the owner. left he stated he would contact the insurance company. Now, almost 2 months later, Paschal Heat and Air is taking ZERO RESPONSIBILITY. Initially, I was very impressed by their customer service and fast response. However, I have now found out they lack accountability. Praise God I printed the statement out and had Alan sign it; otherwise they would be able to lie their way out of this situation and I would have no proof. PLEASE BE WARE OF THIS COMPANY. IF THEY BREAK SOMETHING OF YOURS, THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT AND BLAME YOU. read more

I really, really would not recommend this business for your AC needs. If you work a 9-5 I REALLY would not suggest it! I scheduled an appointment two times with them. Both times I was called and hassled about leaving work that second to meet them. The first time our appointment was a 3 - my sister hit traffic and didn't get to the house until 3:05. To say they were pissed off would be an understatement. Not to mention the tech didn't even try because he had been there since 2:40, even though I explained no one would be there until 3. The second time (my unit is still broken) I got another call before the scheduled time. The lady called me at work and was extremely rude AGAIN because I could not make it there until 3 and insisted she had told me it could be earlier. Funny- both times I called she never said that. Then went on to dramatically sigh when I explained we could not take off the next morning. I don't understand why I was able to make an appointment if it was so inconvenient for them? When I offered to go with another business she then went on to say "So someone will be there at 3 NO LATER right?". What the heck? After I calmed down ( I was pretty mad about being treated so disrespectfully) I called back and cancelled. If servicing customers that work is bothering you all so bad then find another line of work. read more

I would not recommend Paschall at all!! When we first called a "tech" showed up and immediately assumed what the issue was without opening or checking out the entire unit! Of course he needed to order a part to replace and it would be the next day! Second day in 100 degree temps with no Ac they were suppose to be here between 1130-230. At 230 we called and were informed they changed our time to 230-6 so around 4 two techs show up to replace a part. Within 45 mins I was told that was not the problem and I needed to replace something else and that it would be $1800 and of course they wouldn't be able to do it until the next day. I then called another company they were out within hours! And to find out they couldn't have replaced the so called part because the system doesn't even have that part on it and the job they were suppose to do should have taken 2-21/2 hours. Well the new company actually checked out both of my units top to bottom and the actual issue is not what the Paschall "techs" said but what they were suppose to actually replace in the first place so new company installed the part and its up and running and it's not costing me anywhere near $1800. Beware of this company they are not NATE certified and not very honest at least in my experience!! read more
