I'm particularly impressed by their genuine commitment to the social and emotional development of the children. The children of all ages play together in the school yard; it's like the idyllic 1980s neighborhood kids. As a parent, I love being able to be part of the school community as a whole, chatting with parents in the school yard before class starts and giving hugs before my kids go into their classrooms (no car line drop-off!) The co-op requirements are surprisingly do-able, even as a single parent who works outside the home for compensation, and I appreciate the feeling of giving back to this community.

We are coming to the end of the third-grade school year, and our third grader has experienced increased confidence, a lifting up of strengths, and targeted support in areas that needed growth. Even though this is a small community, I'm awe-struck at the dedication of both the administration and the teaching staff. The school's overall approach intertwines tried-and-true teaching techniques, evolving educational modalities, social justice, and the needs of the students. Their enrichment and exploration programs aren't boilerplate; they are well thought-out. At first, the parent participation seemed daunting. Still, I realized that while families of all beliefs comprise this community, the school's social-justice-inspired Quaker philosophies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship have made collaboration seamless.

Their tutors are professional and caring and try hard to keep the kids interested, motivated and learning. Joan and her team are easy to work with and they take the time to get to know your child and customize their tutoring styles for what works best for your child. They will work with you to try different tutors too if someone doesn't seem to be a perfect fit for your child's learning style. It's not a one size fits all kind of place. I also love that we can book sessions online ourselves or have the center book for us. This lets me have visibility and control over our schedule. They offer individual tutoring sessions, small group sessions and we also do some online web sessions. The web sessions are so easy because you can do them from the comfort of your home without having to drive to the center. If you need some test prep or academic tutoring, I recommend you give Meri a call.

This was a month ago. Well since then my son has only gone to one session and thats because of the tutor he has is no longer a junior tutor but now a "premier" tutor and I should now have to pay the "premier" price for the same service. Well, I said no thank you find me another tutor and they did. Well my son really liked this tutor so we were all happy cuz that in it of itself is a task. Had one session, then I get an email from the school about a tutor leaving junior tutor to premier and to be happy for this person. Like I truly care. So low and behold I get a call saying that my tutor for my son cant tutor him unless I pay more money. I own a plumbing business if my journeyman plumber became a mater plumber in the middle of your job I cant charge you more money. Thats not your expense. So now I reported this to the BBB spoke to my attorney and sure enough this is not the way one conducts business. So please if you have your child here and they try to pull this bait and switch dont fall for it and know it's not legal

From the very beginning, Mark has been more than just an advocate -- he has been a true ally and guiding light through one of the most challenging journeys we've faced. Mark's deep understanding of special education law and the complexities of the school district system has been nothing short of life-changing for our family. He has stood firmly by our side, ensuring that our son's needs were not overlooked or minimized. When the district tried to cut essential services, Mark skillfully and compassionately stepped in, using his expertise to protect our child's rights. What truly sets Mark apart is his ability to see through the misleading language and tactics often used by districts to deny or delay services. Sam strikes a nice balance between being approachable and easygoing, but also knowing how to challenge and motivate my son. My younger 9 year old son just switched to Gabriel for piano because his previous teacher cut back her hours. A few weeks into lessons, Marcella recommended my daughter sign up for the recital. On the day of the recital our family was shocked at the progress made - she received a standing ovation! All thanks to Marcella! My daughter really enjoys having her as a vocal coach/instructor and looks forward to each session. She's patient, engaging and has built up my daughter's confidence, all while teaching technique, developing vocal skills. The front desk at PMA are also incredibly helpful and easy to contact, whether by phone, text or email. I appreciate how easy it is to book makeup lessons and change schedules online. My daughter also enjoys seeing Marcella's feedback and thoughtful comments posted after each lesson.
