What stands out most is the level of personal investment the instructors make in each student. Mr. Justin, in particular, has gone out of his way to understand how my son learns and where he needs extra reinforcement. It never feels like a one-size-fits-all program; it's truly tailored support that meets him where he's at and helps him move forward at his pace. As a parent, my biggest concern has always been that he not only improves academically, but also feels capable of keeping up with his peers--and Huntington has been key in helping us move toward that goal. She then prepared us to be academically ready for the private school curriculum, and even now, we are doing remote tutoring 3X a week and my son is really excelling. He received high honors (3.74 GPA) on his first report card in middle school n before that was just a B level student. This school pushes challenging academics and they really make their students earn their grades. We would never have been prepared for this type of curriculum had we not been constantly receiving enrichment from Elevate. I've told Serena that I was willing to pay full price even though we are totally remote and still it is so worth it. She's accommodating and extremely organized with scheduling while working so hard to advocate for both of my kids. Don't get me wrong, we have found a handful of really excellent tutors to work with us in person while we are in Hawaii. However none of them offer the services that Serena does, STEM classes, coding classes, book clubs, contests, pre-k tutoring, and she even worked to throw a private party for my son.... as that is what he wanted. We are never leaving as long as my kids are enrolled in school.

Although I may not have always been the best student, Elite's attentive staff and friendly environment combined with endless drilling of essays and math problems helped me improved my score over 200 points. I returned to Elite the summer before my senior year for their college application package. While the price tag on the CAW Plus Package may seem daunting, I can assure you that every cent was worth it. I was assigned to a counselor, Jon Kang, and an essay editor, Cheny Ng. Over the course of dozens of stressful one on one meetings, both on my end and on theirs (sorry Jon), they helped me transform my painfully incoherent essays into ones that were somehow tolerable enough to get me into my number one school. Once again, I found myself looking forward to Elite because my meetings with the counselors were not only filled with improvement, new ideas, and self discovery, they were filled with the amazing feelings of accomplishment and joy. In short, I've come to see Elite as another home because of how comfortable I've grown in that atmosphere and with all the staff. The people there truly care about the success of all their students and take the time and effort to make sure everyone gets the help they need. He celebrated every tiny step forward. He gave him space to breathe, to try, to grow. Week after week, Daniel showed up with the same warmth, the same dedication, the same belief in my son's ability to overcome his fear. And my son did. Today, he walks into his lessons smiling. He…read morestarted at 3 years old not particularly wanting to learn how to swim or even enjoying his time in the water but his coach Elysa was exceptionally kind, caring, nurturing & PATIENT & began to really get him comfortable in the water. After about 4 months of once a week semi-private lessons he began once or twice a week private lessons with the most wonderful coaches. Ashley Z. is so loving, upbeat & passionate about working with children, she really understands how to teach all types of learners & has also been so patient with my child's varying needs. We've also been able to recently swim with some other coaches that are remarkably able to determine exactly where he's at and push him just enough. Coaches Yudit, Nicholas & Avery, who we recently just met are all seriously rockstars! It's not just the swim coaches though, the entire facility feels like our home away from home. When we walk in the front desk tries their best to greet us & all families with warm hellos. The manager, Franklin (I hope I got his name correct) is quite possibly the kindest man you'll ever meet & truly feels like you could tell him anything & he'd try to help. The office manager, Vic (Victor) is also so kind, helpful & incredible, I could probably chat with him all day, he's got a heart of gold. We've also had wonderful help from CJ & Courtney at the front desk as well. The lead trainer to the coaches, Megan, is absolutely outstanding. She has been so positive & uplifting with my child she really deserves a special shoutout. She always takes the time to say hello & make a special connection with my kiddo & we feel so lucky to call her our friend. The main deck guard Lojo is AWESOME with the kids. He makes the free swim area safe while still allowing it to be the best part of our kids' day. He can somehow get the kids who are going a bit wild to get back in line a bit and behave safely, all with a big, friendly smile. He somehow even welcomes all the families to the pool as they walk in. Dahan (I don't know how to spell his name) is the kindest lifeguard ever but he's off to college soon; he'll be so missed, we're happy for him but sad to see him go! The center is inclusive & works really well with children that have special needs & are neurodivergent. Some facilities say they are inclusive but this place really is a gem in that arena & you feel how welcome you are as soon as you get started. It's magic for us & I hope we can continue to take lessons here throughout childhood. We must have spent $1000+ but it did not work. 5yr old spent her lessons screaming and crying. It got very stressful and traumatic for ME! We also kept switching teachers at Waterworks...some were just not as good with kids. I've come to conclusion that places like Waterworks has a business model to keep you paying for lessons not necessarily getting your kids watersafe. Then we heard about Grace on the Irvine Mom Facebook board. I told her @ my 5 yr old. Immediately she CUSTOMIZED her teaching method and brought in toys. She is always smiling and calm with my daughters. And this is key with my 5 yr old who hated the pool. Grace also ask parents what the focus should be- swim safe or technique. Net net in just 2 months of private lessons- both girls love and ask to go to the pool. My 7 yr old can swim around by herself and my 5 yr old is no longer afraid. Plus Grace is super responsive with text & email, flexible with schedule changes. Other places are not. Only downside is I wish Grace had more Irvine hours. She splits her time her and San Gabriel Valley. I will definitely resume lessons with her the coming Spring.

First of all, let me start by saying how happy I am to have found MeriEducation and Joan. One of my biggest dreams was to attend one of the top film schools in the world. As a foreigner that is one of the most unachievable goals one can set for his or herself. With that in mind, I knew I needed to find the right mentor and counselor to could guide me throughout the process. After thorough research I found MeriEducation, and through MeriEducation I met Joan Nguyen. From the first session, Joan was extremely honest and open with me about everything. We had less than a month to prepare, but Joan worked alongside me the entire time. Even though I had to go back to Europe for personal reasons, Joan was still by my side, navigating me through the entire process. She is extremely organised, focused, understands the procedures to the core and is an amazing and kind person. She is a true expert at what she does. I am very grateful that merieducation isn't limited by location. I have relatives located in California that highly recommended coming to merieducation for help with my daughter's college applications. I was skeptical about signing her up for college application programs and workshops that weren't in person but the staff ensured me that the webcam platforms they use are still very beneficial. Joan and Kristin had done fantastic work keeping us on track and letting us know exactly what we needed to do and when we needed to do it. MeriEducation is a good tutoring service. It is very popular, so unfortunately you have to book the tutors you like right away. Tutors so far have been great but if you wait to book they will get filled. My account manager is Mike who really helps schedule my child. He's really responsive and gets back right away. Also parking is sometimes tough since the south lake area is really busy now. read more

My son needs AP tutoring and ACT prep and MeriEducation was able to help him get the help right away. They are flexible and one to one. The prices are reasonable. I asked around and Compass and other places are OVER $100 an hour! Are you serious? MeriEducation's vibe is really positive and friendly. I highly recommend parents to check it out. Math has always been a sore spot for him--especially with his slower processing speed--but the support, patience, and structure provided by the Huntington team has made a difference in both his skills and, more importantly, his willingness to keep trying. What stands out most is the level of personal investment the instructors make in each student. Mr. Justin, in particular, has gone out of his way to understand how my son learns and where he needs extra reinforcement. It never feels like a one-size-fits-all program; it's truly tailored support that meets him where he's at and helps him move forward at his pace. As a parent, my biggest concern has always been that he not only improves academically, but also feels capable of keeping up with his peers--and Huntington has been key in helping us move toward that goal. I trust their approach, and we're fully committed to continuing with their program. I can't recommend Huntington Education enough. They've been a steady and positive partner for our family.

The center does an excellent job of keeping parents informed through regular emails and in-person meetings. The use of games and prizes is great way to motivate the kids. My kids especially love the prizes, so they work hard to earn more cards. The staff is very responsive and friendly, especially when it comes to scheduling issues or providing extra support to the test preparation. Overall, we've had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this center to other families.

We heard that this may not be for every child, after all, everyone learns differently and appreciate different teaching techniques. However, for us, this is much more suitable for my daughter than Kumon! A heads up though, parking for this location is a bit tough because it shares the parking lot with Trader Jose and several other establishments. This, at times, especially during drop offs and pick ups, could get hectic. But other than that, we highly recommend this place for you to check it out!

What we appreciate most is how concepts are taught in depth, step by step, so students truly understand the material instead of just memorizing formulas. Both of our daughters have grown significantly in confidence and mathematical thinking. I can't say enough good things about Mathnasium of South Pasadena. My son has been coming here…read moresince elementary school and now he's in high school! He loves the instructors, particularly Oren, who is extremely patient and is great at explaining complex concepts. Matthew, the current director, is excellent at running the center and is highly responsive to the needs and concerns of kids and parents alike. Previous center directors (shout out to Nathan, Andrew, and Robbie) have also been fantastic. We honestly could not have survived Math all of these years if it wasn't for Mathnasium. Everyone there is kind, approachable, and well- qualified. I highly recommend this center. They are outstanding.

We have seen her growth not only as a student, but also as a person. Their teachers are very well-qualified too. They provided academic support so that she is able to improve her grades tremendously. Highly recommended if your kids are in high school because they have such amazing counseling service and tutors who can pretty much help with all subjects!

This program's prices are so high for 0 reason…read more Comparing this place to the old program, the price here is about 3 times higher but I learn the same amount of things. Their classes are 2 hours long and only a short 10 minute break. The weekend coding tournaments that students can attend here are crappy. Most of the students have 0 knowledge of how to code and the teachers just say "Do whatever you can." The summer classes are three hours each snd you get only 2 short breaks. The classes cram everything into a short period of time making it hard to remember everything. If you ever want your child to come here, go ahead. Just don't sign up for the " VIP " program because it really has no benefits. The counseling plan is just your average school counselor checking up on you instead of you going to your school counselor. If you want to spend the 30 grand then just remember you're just financing the director's G-wagon.

There's a great waiting area inside or outside there's a courtyard and clean bathrooms to wait. They take your child back, tutor them and bring them back out when the session has ended. Clean, bright, and they do a great job with hiring caring patient staff. I recommend bringing your kid for whatever tutoring needs they may have. Welcoming, comfortable environment.

I'm so happy we decided to invest in the Stowell program. It is costly but worth the sacrifice. They have taught her important life skills in improving her Dyslexia and Auditory Processing Disorder. My child has confidence and willing to stand up for herself. The staff is amazing and flexible to work with. I hope they open a center in the Santa Clarita or San Fernando Valley area. Lots of children could benefit from there program. Trust me your child will improve!

My experience at Elite was filled with an overwhelming amount of stress and fatigue. However, I…read morewould do it all over again knowing the end result. I first went to Elite the summer before my junior year for the SAT Prep Bootcamp. Admittedly, I hated every moment of it in the beginning. However, as the weeks went on, I came to look forward to my classes, as the teachers were friendly and easy to talk to, with a genuine desire to help their students understand the content. Although I may not have always been the best student, Elite's attentive staff and friendly environment combined with endless drilling of essays and math problems helped me improved my score over 200 points. I returned to Elite the summer before my senior year for their college application package. While the price tag on the CAW Plus Package may seem daunting, I can assure you that every cent was worth it. I was assigned to a counselor, Jon Kang, and an essay editor, Cheny Ng. Over the course of dozens of stressful one on one meetings, both on my end and on theirs (sorry Jon), they helped me transform my painfully incoherent essays into ones that were somehow tolerable enough to get me into my number one school. Once again, I found myself looking forward to Elite because my meetings with the counselors were not only filled with improvement, new ideas, and self discovery, they were filled with the amazing feelings of accomplishment and joy. In short, I've come to see Elite as another home because of how comfortable I've grown in that atmosphere and with all the staff. The people there truly care about the success of all their students and take the time and effort to make sure everyone gets the help they need. I've practically thrown out all the writing skills I acquired during my application process (bc let's be honest senioritis is very real) sIf you've made it this far in my review, I'd like to apologize for my writing, for I no longer have Jon and Cheny by my side to edit my work:(
