So many positives to share. Director Alejandra really made our first experience with Mathnasium a great one. We were in Pasadena for the Summer and signed on for just a few weeks. Even though we were not going to be able to continue into the school year as a longer term client, the caliber of customer service she provided made us feel incredibly valued. Alejandra provided information about the program that was thorough and easily digestible, going over the program steps, rewards system, class scheduling and payment. She is incredibly patient, responsive, and really wants both parents and children to feel comfortable and informed, which I so appreciate. She was also really flexible in helping us figure out a perfectly fair and reasonable payment , as we were just there for a few weeks. She understood that I wanted to maximize our kid's math learning for our short visit , and I never felt that accommodating to our situation was an inconvenience to her. I also never felt like our family was just a number. Rather, our experience was that of feeling a big fish in a small pond. Personable and welcomed. The teachers were also really great with our children. They seem to work really hard with enthusiasm and interest to support them. I really like the set up that the teachers have, being set up between two tables in swivel seats so that they can turn quickly between two groups of students. I feel this helps the students feel that the teacher is accessible because they are so close. After this stellar experience with the Pasadena location, we decided to sign up with Mathnasium back home for the school year, in a different state and franchise. This place is amazing. I wish I had this growing up. Whoever thought of this concept were geniuses!!! Unlike the tutoring centers I went to growing up, they don't use scare tactics or just force feed knowledge into you. The kids actually LIKE coming here. I remember a new parent came in and literally just pulled two students aside and asked "Hey, do you like Mathnasium?", and they both said "YES!" with the biggest smiles. My 2 boys started Mathnasium about a year ago and they have made tremendous improvements on their math. The Mathnasium customized learning plan allows them to work at their individual level and build the strong foundation on their math. Within 4 months enrolling, they are able to move a grade up. I like all the instructors. Titus, Chris, Victoria, Rob and many others. They are extremely responsible, patient, kind and work extremely well with kids. When I pick them up after each lesson, they always explain what they are working on that day and whether or not my kids are on track or off track. Mathnasium is the best math tutoring place to go if you wanna get a personalized learning plan and better understanding on how to solve the problems instead of getting the answers. Glad, I found this place as the previous tutoring center did not have the quality of teaching like Mathnasium. The staffs are really friendly and knowledgeable with what they are trying to explain to me. They called it number sense, I am a past student and if you really need help, I strongly recommend it for every student who wants to get a better understanding or learning advanced skills.!!!! With unlimited drop-ins, it allows me to come anytime I need help without the need to call for an appointment and someone will be ready to help me out right away, it does fit in very well with my crazy schedule. At first, the girls (7 & 10) were not too excited about starting at Mathnasium. But after the third session, they were both hooked. Now they both look forward to going (3 times each week) and they both have shown great improvement in their math skills. The anxiety my eldest had about math over the last 1.5 years has lifted and she now enjoys it. Recently, she was invited to a Friday night sleep over, but said she still didn't want to miss her Saturday morning Mathnasium session -- I was dumbfounded! I like that Mathnasium creates a personalized workbook for each student that addresses each student's specific needs. The key as a parent, I think, is to relax and let the folks at Mathnasium do their thing with the personalized workbooks to build a solid foundation of the fundamentals. Mathnasium is an awesome resource. During my junior year, I was struggling to maintain an A in my pre-calc class. My parents found out about mathnasium and I decided to go out of desperation. It was a great decision! Not only did they instill confidence, but they were able to teach the proper methodology and how to approach problems in the simplest, most direct manner. I would go 3-4 times a week and really enjoyed math due to the great tutors. Regardless of age, mathnasium is an excellent choice for all students. read more

I recommend this place to anybody struggling with math. Parents...if your kids are having problems with math don't hesitate. Their prices are fair, it might seem expensive at first,but if you look at the whole package you end up with a very good deal. Better than if you pay hourly rate anywhere else, do the math when you go to check them out. The first step is taking an assessment test to identify the areas they need to work on, then work on your specific needs. The staff members are all great. I highly recommend PASADENA MATHNASIUM ... we enrolled our son last year during summer vacation. He unfortunately failed his 6th grade math class and was having difficulty understanding it. He hated math and was not motivated what's so ever. We walked in to Mathnasium and spoke to Kevin. He was very friendly , helpful and explained everything in detail to us. We signed him up for the whole year. Our son now is finishing up 7th grade and he now has a B+ and very close to an A in his class. We saw a huge improvement in him during the summer and was able to catch up and understand what he couldn't understand in class during his 6th grade year. Our son loves coming to the center. Not only does he enjoy it, he is motivated and has built a relationship with the staff. Raymond whom is one of the Math wiz's in this location works with him first hand and always gives me a progress report on how he is doing, I love the way Raymond is on top of what is going on with our son in school such as upcoming tests and exams. Titus and Kevin also work with my son and they also are on top of what is going on with him. Every person whom signs up has an individual binder which is fantastic. All the work is kept in those binders so you can see the progress. This is by far the best INVESTMENT we have ever made especially knowing that our son is benefiting from it.
