My husband and I went to Parxgrill for a birthday dinner and were lucky enough to meet Nancy! Nancy had amazing energy and was just so personable. We spent a lot of the time chatting with her and we were so familiar that another table thought we were friends visiting her :) She provided attentive service and was happy to accommodate any needs and adjustments. Glad we decided to drop in her after a concert at Xcite Center for a lighter meal. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting and very comfortable. The service staff, especially Corine our server, she was top notch. She was able to help us make some menu picks with her knowledgeable suggestions. We decided on having some appetizers and side dishes with dessert instead of a full entree meal because of the hour and a long drive home. For some reason there was a pretty long wait for the Lobster bisque and our other appetizers. We were served another basket of dinner rolls, the first had a zesty flat French bread included which was very tasty with a slight bite from the cracked pepper and garlic toppings that were baked on top. Our food order all came out together. The lobster was served in a covered steel tourine. It was at the perfect temperature and had sufficient lobster meat with a delightful flavor. Next on my side of the table was the lobster mashed potatoes. I have never had this dish before so wasn't sure what to expect. It was a large side serving with hose mashed potatoes and a bit of lobster meat with a bisque like dripping of gravy. It could have used just a bit more flavoring for my liking. I just spooned on some of the bisque for that. Took most of the huge serving home. We also tried the bacon Mac & cheese side and that was so delicious. I am not a Mac and cheese lover but this was one of the best i have tried! I had a taste of the shrimp cocktail which was okay , not very special and could have had another shrimp or two. The sirloin tips with a mixture of roasted vegetables Appy was so very tender even cooked well done. I am having a steak dinner next visit for sure! To finish the evening we shared two desserts, the chocolate raspberry Brulee and bread pudding with bananas and butterscotch sauce. The Brulee was out of this world with creamy mouse like chocolate and shaved chocolate on the whipped cream with fresh raspberries. The bread pudding was also very, very tasty. From the caramelized bananas, the butterscotch sauce, vanilla ice cream and the pudding itself the flavors all mixed very well together. Again topped with the whipped cream with the rich chocolate shavings. All just so very good and well worth the price! Try them you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm surprised this place has such good reviews, we tried it yesterday and the food was nowhere near worth the high prices. The chicken parm is $36 for overcooked, dried out chicken with boxed pasta and jar sauce, it was terrible. The scallops were okay, but nothing special and the Brussels sprouts undercooked. Last week we saw tylerhenry at parx casino. Prior to the show we had dinner at the parx grill. Nancy was our server. She was so nice and helpful and very efficient. It seemed like shehad control of everything and all while she was handling many tables. Her suggestions for food were spot on. She even held our take homes until after the show. When we picked up our food after the she we had a great conversation with nancy. She could have easily been a friend of ours. If I'm ever looking to enjoy fine dining in the future, we hope nancy will be on duty. read more

Overall I had a great experience. Our waitress was very nice and attentive! The restaurant is well lit and has cool decorations. Not super loud so it is a great place to talk and catch up with guests. Good for a nice dinner with friends or family or an expensive date! Both me and my dinner guest very much enjoyed our meals. We both started with the classic Caesar salad which was just the right amount of garlicky and refreshing. I loved the grilled crostini on top and the parmesan crisp. The bread basket (not pictured) had these really good cheddar biscuit rolls in there. They were very moist and delicious, but a bit too greasy for my taste. I ordered the dinner special of the night which was the lobster ravioli. Definitely a pricier option with all the fresh seafood, but I thought it was very worth it (and I have plenty of leftovers). The scallops on top were to die for. The crab meat was very juicy and the shrimp was nice and tender. My dinner guest ate all his lamb chops and said they were excellent. He loved the parmesan risotto that it came with and we took the leftover risotto home. For dessert (not pictured) we split the apple pie with vanilla ice cream. It was more of an apple tart than a pie. It was a solid dessert- nothing too special about it. What was really great was the restaurant was able to hold my leftover for me in the fridge; that way, we could go enjoy more time at the casino without having to worry about the leftover going bad. We just had to make sure to pick them up before the restaurant closed at 9p tonight (Sunday) which was easy enough. Great experience! Would go again and would recommend. read more

recently visited Parx Grill Bar. The bar server was Alexis. she was amazingly friendly, polite, super efficient and above all very competent/ knowledgeable as to drinks. There were many other customers but Alexis managed single handed to make drinks and serve food, making everyone feel important and attended. I rarely visit Casinos, bars and even restaurants but this experience has made me curious to visit again. as far as Parx Grill menu is concerned, it does not offer any satisfactory option in its menu for vegetarians. I would love to say that I had a great dining experience at the Parxgrill. The food was good, the service, ambiance, it was all great. It was my fiancé's birthday that we were celebrating. We hadn't eaten all day just waiting on this total experience. There were some minor issues: they didn't serve small plates when bringing out the bread basket. There were no seafood forks for the seafood. We had to request everything that we needed. The major issue was: I became extremely Sickly within one hour after dining at this location. After dinner we moved on to the gambling floor. My stomach started to descend and I became very very nauseous. Shortly we decided to leave cutting our night out early. Upon our arrival home, I barely made it, the explosive diarrhea and vomiting began. It was horrible. I was extremely ill. This continued all night long. I'm not sure if it was the food or food handling. I'm praying that it's not positive for Hepatitis A. It seems to be food poisoning. I had as an appetizer, the lump crab. It seemed to have been served with warm mayonnaise because it wasn't tarter sauce. I'm not sure what it was. It wasn't horseradish. But it was warm. As an entree I had the pan seared scallops along with the Lobster mashed potatoes. I also had a chocolate martini. No one should go out for fine dining and become so ill. We tipped the waiter $40.00. Never realizing that I would get so sick from the food here. I paid over $160.00 for an experience that landed me in the bathroom and the bed. I'll never eat here again. I'm also going to contact the restaurant to let them know of my experience. Protect yourself, choose another restaurant. read more

The staff who delivered our food and the manager were also friendly and made sure everything was to our liking. The food was excellent. We had a good selection of breads that were different from the normal choices. We ordered the bleu cheese bacon which was interesting with unique flavors that complemented each other. Good to try, but not an everyday thing for us. Steak and salmon were perfectly cooked and seasoned. All the sides were good- mushrooms and orzo were our faves. Came here last night with a friend of mine. Had to wait 35 minutes for a reservation because they were busy. We came back at 9 pm and the host sat us down immediately. Pros: Bread/Biscuits we loved i! Firecracker shrimp appetizer with lemon romaine lettuce and arugula on bottom - generous amount of shrimp and delicious! Asparagus in lemon oil side dish - loved the size of asparagus and taste, although I do believe the flavor was something you could cook at home. Decorum of restaurant Waiters Cons: Ribeye Steaks - we ordered two of them: 1 with bone out, medium-rare. And one medium-well bone in. When we got the steaks, it looked delicious. But I noticed mine didn't have the bone in, which it was supposed to. I cut into my medium-well steak and it was extremely bloody. I asked my friend how his was and we noticed his looked more cooked. I requested to switch plates with him saying, " maybe they switched the plates by accident and you got mine." I continued cutting into my now more cooked steak and it was getting bloodier and bloodier. I tried using the sauce on the plate but it was very nasty and extremely salty. I had to push the steak to the side and go back to eating the biscuits. The waiter noticed and he offered to bring it back to get it cooked some more. Waiter brought the ribeye back and I continued to cut and it got bloodier and bloodier again. So now, I'm done trying with my meal. Flavor was just ok for the meat. Honestly I could've cooked better for the flavor at home and I'm a horrible cook. Fatty crispy areas had a lot of flavor and I enjoyed that. Overall, ribeye was atrocious for $40 each and although the decorum was beautiful and firecracker shrimp was spectacular and waiters were kind, the ribeye main course was completely atrocious even after trying to fix it, I would not come back here. read more

My wife took me here for my birthday dinner. Food , almost great my ribeye was well prepared but flat in flavor, her filet was perfectly cooked. My lobster bisque had a different taste, hints of cinnamon and nutmeg overpowered the lobster, her calamari salad was tasty with a generous amount of calamari. Our server ( Amanda) was extremely attentive yet not to the point of hovering, she kept the evening pace flowing but not rushed. We compared pet stories, she has cats and we have a new rescued dog that's crazy. The music was loud which then makes people talk louder. It took some time for our server to greet us. The menu is limited (which is fine). The beer selection is very limited. The wine selection is expansive. The sides are family style. We ordered the mashed potatoes, asparagus & Mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes & asparagus were under seasoned. The Mac & cheese was creamy and Smokey and was a table favorite. Daughter #1 ordered the Sea Bass. She really enjoyed her entree. Daughter #2 ordered the New York Strip which was good.
