Buyer Beware! Paying a deposit online is an automatic acceptance of agreement of fine printed terms that are easily unseen. This company will not give you back a dime of your deposit should you need to cancel. Even if ample notice is provided. I planned an event and gave 2 months notice that it had been canceled and they refused to give me back even a nickel. They kept over $600 of mine. I thought with the 2 month notice, it would be plenty of time for them to at least give me back a portion of my deposit. I found the woman rude and there's no way I would ever do business with them in the future. I told her I was going to leave a review to make others aware and she said, "Oh, now you're threatening me?" If they find sharing the truth a threat, they should change this greedy policy, because I'm only posting the truth!!! I couldn't wait to actually be able to enjoy my daughters birthday party for once but to my surprise (((Dwayne Wright))) never showed up and didn't even call me to let me know. in fact i had to contact them through Instagram messenger to let them know and i finally got a call back almost 2 hours after he was supposed to show by whoever responded to me through Instagram. I was hosting an afternoon tea bridal shower for my daughter at my house. Since she and I love to cook, we decided to make all of the food - three salads, scones, four types of finger sandwiches, and mini desserts - together. Unfortunately, my daughter was struggling with long Covid and unable to do all of the work we had planned on the morning of the party. The three women sent by Party Host Helpers showed up on time, saw my frazzled state, and immediately took charge. They helped me construct all of the finger sandwiches and set up the three-tier services. I hired Party Host Helpers for my holiday open house after not one but 2 other servers cancelled on me days before the party. They sent Diane Johnson who was a real pro, working the party continuously from start to finish to make sure everything was going smoothly. She packed up all my leftovers and put away all the rental items like plates, glassware etc. I was able to enjoy my own party. My mom is an excellent host but is always so busy entertaining, filling up drinks, putting out food, etc., that she never gets to enjoy the party. We were over budget on the event so I was worried a PHH would be too pricey, but it was very reasonable and well worth it! I hired a bartender for my wedding and the bartender never showed up. No notice from Party Host Helpers that the bartender was not going to make it, I had to call the customer service line just to let them know what was going on. They said the bartenders car broke down and they were unable to find a replacement. Mind you I had to call and tell them there was an issue 45 minutes after the bartender was supposed to arrive When I expressed my displeasure about their services, they told me that they "fired the bartender" and offered me a free Party Host Helper for a future event. Not sure how firing a bartender that is basically like an Uber driver for bar tending (they are basically contractors) is going to fix a systemic problem with communication and oversight within your company but what do I know? The customer service tried to play nice, they refunded my money but did not really seem like they cared, even when it went up to the CEO. I would be very wary of using this business for any important event. I was extremely disappointed to have my wedding ruined by Party Host Helpers. read more

The moment I decided to host some friends for New Year's Eve, I also decided that I would need some help if I wanted to enjoy myself. I contacted Renee at Party Host Helpers about a month out, and she booked me right away. I had to create an account and fill out some info, which was great so that there was no confusion for my designated helper with where I live, how to contact me, etc. Katie was our helper and she was fantastic. Super sweet and totally in control. She arrived a half hour before our party and was even able to stay a half hour longer than what we scheduled, because a party at my house is a party that just don't quit, y'all. Katie handled coat check, pouring drinks, popping hors d'oeuvres in and out of the oven and serving them, etc. Most importantly, the kitchen was immaculate throughout her stay. After she left is another story but we kept the damage to a minimum. This was the first time I've ever had friends at my house and actually felt like I was at a party, instead of working a party. I was booked with Party Host Helpers for a Server for an in-home dinner party - deposit paid, confirmation received. The Server was to arrive at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28. When no-one arrived by 5:15, I went to my computer to find a phone number to call, finding instead an e-mail sent at 4:10 p.m. saying "we are writing to let you know that your helper called out this afternoon for this evening. We are trying our best to replace her. If we cannot replace her we will refund you the $90 deposit ASAP." This 50 minutes before the Server was to arrive! UNACCEPTABLE - even if the head-honcho him/herself had to cover. Needless to say I will never use them again and will spread the word. read more

My email was ignored so I called and was given some lame excuses and no answers. My expectations of having helpers dwindled. On Friday evening before my Sunday event I checked my online account. It said "1 helper assigned" with a name and an unprofessional photo. No contact info was provided so I did a simple google search of the name only to reveal the helper had been charged with robbery, burglary, terroristic threats and more - REALLY OUTRAGEOUS!!! They were happy to send us to Gia Bella Catering run by Jules Schortt. That's where the nightmare began. He delivered food that looked and lasted like it was bought at the local supermarket. The passed food was all stale and tasted like it had been sitting around for days. When we contacted Party Host Helpers who planned the event they told us there was nothing they could do since they are not responsible for the food. That's a first! If you are making a referral then you must be accountable for that. Renne and her assistant Jen were no help. When we contacted Jules, he was less then apologetic. Don't ever use this guy either.
