But all it took was one exceptional lunch and we were back! This time I reached out to them directly for a larger office catering and that was the best decision ever. This review is for their cafe. The location is a bit hidden in an office park by the post office but it is a hidden gem. Crocodile catering is well known in the area for corporate events so it is nice to know that you can pop in for a soup, salad or sandwich when you feel like it. On a cool autumn day the Turkey chili did not disappoint. I got that as a combo with 1/2 a "Kick-as*-Club" sandwich as they named it. The chili was far better than the club which did not resemble much of a turkey club and lacked heft for the price (around $11). Wow! Crocodile caters to our business and I have never been more impressed with their customer service, response to comments, questions, last minute changes, etc. Not to mention the food selection and quality is exceptional! We cater breakfast, lunch and p.m snacks with them for all our meetings and they offer a great variety which is saying a lot because we order pretty regularly! The food is always fresh and on time. And again communication is fantastic. There are times when we've made last minute requests to accommodate different dietary needs, meeting times or room changes and they are always very accommodating. If you are in the Wayne area, especially in the office parks around Croc's I am guessing it is your favorite place to eat. It actually sits in a office park - which seems odd - but works for them since it seems most companies us it as like their own personal cafeteria. I ate here a couple time on my business trip. I had a club sandwich and chicken burrito (which was really more a wrap). Both were tasty, fresh and well priced. I like that they give you chips and salsa with the meal. I walk over to Croc a lot for lunch since it's near the office. They make some pretty solid sandwich and soup choices. They respond well to feedback, and their specials are usually very good. Any time they have olive focaccia in the house, I'll get whatever sandwich I was going to get on that bread instead. It's pretty epic. Probably my favorite special I got today, the Country Club. Grilled chicken (the food stuff) with bacon, tomato, arugula, and grated Vermont cheddar with rosemary-avocado aioli on an Asiago ciabatta roll. It's even better than it sounds. For a while my wife and I would eat Subway subs But I have to tell your lately I've had a couple of Crocodile Cafe hoagies- they leave these other places in the dust ! So fresh so crisp every different food item bursts with flavor- YOU can almost taste every single one, the guy that works for me loves the sandwiches and has been raving lunatic about the food also and the staff are the friendliest IVE EVER SEEN... I notice some of them going in and out of the catering department ( they seem to do a lot of catering- a half dozen Vans or so !) and they're SO NICE AND FRIENDLY EVEN TO EACH OTHER always laughing and smiling. I also noticed fresh green salad with various dressings., along with chips. The pasta salad they served was great! The food was plentiful and they didn't run out either. We usually get a cold breakfast (bagel platter and cut fruit bowl or a Sandwich/Wrap platter with salads for lunch. I have not tried any of their hot food options. Today we ordered for 25 people for a corporate event. We ordered the exact menu we did 2 months prior and we were brought double the food last time. We had 2 trays (the first time included mini sandwiches, the second time it did not), 2 orange juices, and 2 bowls of fruit. This time we received one of each. I called to see what happened and I was told the last time was a mistake and that was that. Honestly this was not enough food for 25, so we were thankful only 12 people showed up! I had to plan a friends' bridal shower from Alaska, and was not familiar with any of the catering places in Wayne or the surrounding area. I'm sure glad I found Crocodile! They made everything so easy to coordinate from a distance, and were so friendly when I chatted with them on the phone about my order. The food was a hit at the bridal shower! One of the attendants was a vegetarian and said her vegetarian sandwich was the best she's ever had from a deli. The only negative, if you even want to refer to it as that, was the delivery came a half an hour early, and we had to stuff everything in the fridge so it wouldn't sit out for an hour before people showed up. Again, it wasn't really a negative since I would rather they have been early than late! I wish I lived in Wayne so I could eat at Crocodile and use their services more, they were great! read more
