She did not apologize for the inconvenience or make any other attempts at basic customer service. The people next door at the dollar tree, who were even busier than Party City at the time, were incredibly nice, helpful, and customer-service driven. My husband and I went here in April and were thoroughly grateful with how supportive the staff were. We went in with the hopes that they would help us get ballon's and items for our own gender reveal.. and they did just that! We gave the staff the envelope from our Dr office that had the gender, and asked them to pick out a few gender related items that we could use ourselves. I went Wednesday at 5:30 ish to get a little set of balloons for my moms 45th birthday. I paid almost 40 dollars for 5 balloons and 2 number balloons. The employees were friendly however to pay 40 dollars for 7 balloons that were DEFLATED the next day is completely ridiculous. I've gone to small business balloon shops and their balloons stayed inflated for 1 month after our purchase. All the latex balloons are sitting to the floor and one of the number balloons is completely deflated. I called to speak to a manager of some sort and the line isn't in service. It's true. I'm a Party City fan! Many of times I've come here for supplies for work events and personal parties. They have a great selection! I absolutely love how they have a whole color coded aisle of plates, napkins, cups, straws, etc. It makes it so easy to find exactly what I'm looking for! You better believe my house was decked out in green and orange for this St. Paddy's day ;) Right in the front of the store is where they have seasonal items. This is usually where I find great stuff for holiday events and decorations for my house. You can also find piñatas, bridal supplies, candy, costumes, and more at Party City. Their balloon selection is great too and you can get them blown up in store! They often have some good deals. Just recently I purchased one package of fifty 16 oz cups and got one free which not only solved my cup need for our St. Patrick's day party, but also my sister's upcoming bachelorette! They also had some seasonal items for $1 so I snagged four leaf clover plates and napkins. My only complaint is that customer service can sometimes be slow. I really could stop in here and peruse for an hour or more. While I like the selection and prices are fair, there always seems to be a long line at the register. And a quick tip - if ordering balloons for a weekend, order in advance with a time to pick up. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT walk in expecting a bouquet of balloons on a Saturday or Sunday. I have visited this location several times, and I've never encountered any problems. While I do miss the days of Factory Card Outlet, when the store focused more on their greeting cards, this is still my favorite stop for greeting cards that may or may not get thrown away by the recipient. Cards for $1? I can do that. There are also many aisles of party supplies (duh) for just about every theme imaginable. I'm not a fan of any of that stuff, because at the end of the day it goes in the trash, but if your child is dying for a Dora or Superman birthday, this is a good stop to make for cheaper wares. My only pet peeve with this place (and it's the same at other locations) is that your wait time in line will get VERY long if the person in front of you is ordering balloons. The store is just like every other Party City - packed with "stuff" everywhere you look, but the employees are NOT FRIENDLY. We were in on NYE and the one working in balloon land were downright NASTY, so we bought a bouquet that was blown-up, and the cashier had the nerve to tell me the price that was marked was WRONG. I called to tell her that two packages had arrived at my home in Schaumburg, Il. addressed to Gerald O'Reilly. There is not at Gerald O'Reilly in our town and he must be planning a party this weekend. Marcia suggested that I take the packages to the UPS store and return them because she has no authority to order a pick up. I'm caring for my 79 year old husband who just returned from the hospital. I explained I would not be going out on the icy streets to return her packages and asked what was going to happen to Gerald's party supplies? I've primarily used them for balloons, and every time, without fail, even though I order ahead, they are not ready when I go to pick them up. If you want your balloons done right make sure "Tim" doesn't blow them up! He'll blow them up way smaller than 12" and worst of all he'll make you tie your own balloons! Luckily Jocelynn arrived while he was doing my balloon order and took over. She was very sweet and you could tell she knows what she's doing. My wife purchased balloons 2 weeks prior to our daughters baptism and we were told to come in the day before and they would blow them up. I went in on 4/6 to get the balloons inflated and was told they won't do it because they were out of helium, and all stores in a 10 mile radius were out. Yet, they were filling balloons that were ordered online with the tanks they sell in the store. They wanted me to spend $45 dollars on a tank to fill 10 balloons or go somewhere else and get them filled, even though we already spent $36 dollars on the balloons which were to include helium. AVOID this store at all costs! I went there on Feb 21st to buy supplies for my daughter's birthday, including balloons, on Feb 22nd. There was only one cashier and there were a lot of people getting balloons inflated. I finally asked IF I went home and ordered online, could I pick them up on Feb 22nd. I was assured I could. I went home, purchased them online and an hour later received a very rude call from a young, Hispanic female who told me they "might not have enough helium" for my balloons so she was cancelling the order. I tried to ask her if they inflated them right then (6:30pm), would they have enough for that. She told me, "IF you would just let me finish." So I did, then I asked her again. She finally admitted she had enough to inflate the order. I told her I would go by that night to pick them up. When I arrived a young man handed me my balloons and a package of two other non-inflated balloons. When I told him they were also supposed to be inflated, he looked very upset and said, "No, we can't put helium in them. You have to blow them up." Then he walked away from me. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!
