LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!! As I was preparing for my grand baby's 2nd birthday celebration, I was having a difficult time finding the new Little Mermaid party items and decorations. The first store I visited was the Disney Store in the Premium Outlet Mall. I was highly certain that they would have the new Little Mermaid items, since it's Disney and all. Unfortunately, I was totally wrong. They did not have nada, only the old Little Mermaid items. I found that to be a bit strange seeing that the New Little Mermaid, which is an African American, is a part of Disney as well. The next store I tried was Walmart, which was a complete and epic fail. However, I didn't really expect Walmart to have these items, but was hoping they would, so that my search could end, lol. So much for wishful thinking. Furthermore, I finally conjured up Party City, which should have been my first train of thought since they are in fact a party store. However, my oldest child is 28 years old and my youngest child is 21 years old. I have not shopped for a kid's birthday party in ages, lol. Fortunately, I stumbled upon what I was searching for when I entered the building. The new Little Mermaid party items, played by, African American actress/singer, Halle Bailey were up front and centered on an end cap! I was so shocked and couldn't believe it. Immediately, I grabbed a shopping cart and commenced to fill it up with every new Little Mermaid item I could get my hands on. By the time I checked out, I had spent nearly $300! Geez! I'm so glad my children are all grown up now, lol! Moreover, on the day of the birthday celebration, I returned to Party City to purchase the balloons. I had already gotten all of the decor and party favors that I needed previously, but I waited for the BIG DAY to purchase the balloons. I arrived 20 minutes before opening hours and decided to wait in my truck since that wasn't too long of a wait. However, ten minutes after opening time, they still had not unlocked the doors for the patiently waiting customers who were gathered outside in front of the door. Finally, at 10:20 am, they finally unlocked the doors and let everyone inside, which was 20 minutes after opening time. I immediately hopped out of my truck, went inside, grabbed the Little Mermaid balloons, and headed for the checkout area. I was the first customer in line, and I just knew I was doing good with time and everything. Unfortunately, they were having technical issues with their registers and were unable to sign on. I was forced to wait for an additional 30 minutes while the workers tried to rectify the situation. Overall, my shopping experience was a great and pleasant one during the first visit, even though I was not greeted by any of the workers, nor was I offered any assistance. However, the second visit was a flop because of the technical issues they were having with their system. I don't know, but it seems like they should have some sort of backup system for emergencies such as this one. I am giving them three stars based on the items that were in stock that I sooooo desperately needed. Customer service was just okay. They were not friendly or welcoming but rather nonchalant and distant. They do not attempt to connect with the customers and to go above and beyond to assist the customers in finding merchandise. Also, if the store hours are for a certain time then they should honor that, instead of making customers wait in the hot sun for them to open. They didn't even have the decency or the courtesy to apologize for opening the doors 20 minutes late. read more

So the lost of stars is because if service. The line is long since there is not enough staff. And when you get to the front the staff Ambrey is more focus on other people transaction. So after waiting for long she is ringing things up for me. Then unfocused so it takes even longer. Then a customer that was working with another staff she decides to stop bagging and focus on their stuff. So I just rather bag myself so it does not take forever. It would have been only a 5min transaction if she had the time of day. read more

Oh PaRtY CiTy! How do I love thee. Let me count the ways... So, I know everyone loves Party Boy, but I had a difficult time finding a fair assortment of festiv V-Day decorations and trinkets. And then I was reminded of Party City, a place that is often overlooked ITL. I'll be honest, I worked at PC back in my prime (16-years-old), particularly at this location. Man, was that the funnest job ever?! Free and/or discounted candies, costumes, balloons, stickers, bubbles, bags, gift wrap. pinatas... Costume selection isn't that great, but the kiddies will be happy with what's offered. They do, however, have a large Mylar balloon selection, party gift bag stuffers, ribbon, and themed birthday decorations. And it won't cost you an arm and a leg, unlike the prices at Party Boy. All in all, when it comes to party supplies and prices, it's *many* steps ahead of Party Boy but not quite up there with Arnie's (which I hope reopens soon!) If you do ever visit this special location, be sure and tell Sam that I said "hi." He's the sweet, sweet, sweet manager who put up with a lot from us hormone-crazed teenagers, and he still remembers me and my fam every time we swing by. read more

I went to party city at 8:45pm they close according to the website at 9:00. Doors are closed so I knock. Young lady comes to door said they're closed. I said it's 8:45 she said I don't know what happened but corporate told us to close at 8:00. There are people walking around shopping. I said it's people in there. She claimed they were there before they closed at 8:00. I believe she was lying. read more

I was pretty disappointed during my last visit to this location. I visited on Monday, October 29th to pick up a curbside order. I literally waited in my vehicle for 20 minutes after following the curbside instructions. I called the store several times and was instantly placed on hold and no one actually picked up the entire 20 minutes. I finally decided to go in, wait in line and then explain to the cashier that I had been waiting outside. She left the register and went to where the curbside orders are. I saw at least 50-60 other orders each in bags and it took her another 20 minutes to find the bag associated with my order. Not a good system at all! I understand that they were busier than normal due to Halloween but I wish they did not offer curbside if they weren't going to have anyone dedicated to it. And the way the orders were organized was a disaster. This location is an example of a business trying to keep up with the current trends but not doing a very good job at it. I'd prefer they stick to their regular policy where customers either order online for in-store pickup, home delivery, or purchase items in store. read more

Havin a party? Ready to get jiggy with it? Are you going to let the dogs out? You probably need supplies for your get down on the ground throw down. Went here for Halloween costume items. I should have known better than wait until almost the last minute before the Halloween party weekend. Place was crowded. They still had good selection left and I was able to pick out a few things I wanted with out paying too much. I found what I need pretty easily as the store is organized pretty well. Checkout line was crazy but didn't take too long. Overall a pretty good experience. I will be back. read more

My son any I went to the Party city on Smithstone and HW6 yesterday to return a shirt because I had accidentaly got the wrong size. When I tried to return it the cashier had an additude towards me for some reason and told me that I cannot return the shirt because it was full of stains which clearly it wasn't . I told the young lady that I had not worn the shirt and I simply just held the shirt against me before I bought it thinking it would fit me. I asked for the manager named Lori and she was no help whatsoever. The manager was really rude towards me an my 1yr old son. I asked her what ever happened to customers come first but she had nothing to say. I told her that I will be giving the store a bad review and she responded with " go ahead" and she really did not care what I said. The staff and management where simply unprofessional. read more

It's a party city, just a basic party store for all your go to last min items. Super busy when I went(last min Halloween people) and the lines weren't long either! I usually just go when I don't feel like going to the super Walmart! The staff is ok, I guess! read more

Purchased 2 items and got double charged for one of the items. Cashier stuck the receipt in my bag. I didn't think of checking it since I was in a rush. When I got home, I noticed that I was double charged. Tomorrow morning I have to waste gas to go back to the store and talk with management. read more

This is probably the worst Party City I've ever been to. The employees here are completely miserable with life apparently because they have the absolute worst attitude from the moment you walk through the door. I'd rather waste the gas to drive to Tomball then step foot back in this place. read more

I waited in line for 20 minutes which was fine because I know it's busy the night before Halloween. So when I get up to the register the cashier whose name was Marilyn did not even acknowledge me she continued to talk to the other cashier. As she rang me up she never acknowledged me once at all only to tell me how much it was and for me to give her a coupon . The cashier was a very rude B'''' they were all talking and gossiping behind the registers with no regard for customer service they just didn't care. If you can help it don't go to this store. read more
