Accessibility: accessible/disabled parking spot directly in front of the store with a ramp to get up to the sidewalk. Motion-activated doors to enter the building, and all flat ground inside, no stairs. Wide aisles to move through, and brightly lit. Experience: this store is huge! It was exciting for me as an adult, so I bet it's even cooler for a kid! I loved looking at all the cool items for different types of parties and events. They have things for birthdays, quinceñeras, weddings, retirement parties, baby showers, and more! Some of the items are cheaper quality plastic (such as the forks, spoons, plates, etc.), but some things are better quality. Some items are overpriced, and some are great prices. Really just depends... This store is worth a look! The employees were also super friendly here! I was getting a few things for my wedding (an LGBT wedding), and a female employee told my wife and I congratulations! That meant a lot. :') look at my photos to see the 100-foot runway carpet/rug I bought here and used for my outdoor wedding. read more

Normally they are very friendly and helpful here. This morning, I was waiting for the store to open, when she opened, she just walked away. She continued to be cranky. I needed balloons and waited there. She just stared at me and when we locked eyes, I said, Are you ready for me? She nodded a yes. Just totally not happy, not friendly, not helpful. So sad. Also, the giant balloon I ordered went flat and numbers fell off within the first day. Happily when I shared this with the manger, she invited me to come in for a refund. I've now changed my 1 star rating and I am back to recommending this store! read more

I had a great experience at this location while planning my sons' birthday party. First we just showed up blindly to to see what kind of selection they had for a race car party theme. They had a decent collection of Hot Wheels and Pixar's Cars themed items as well as some generic race car party favors that fit the bill. They also had a HUGE balloon selection which was super impressive. I loved how clean and organized the store was; I'd definitely been to other Party City locations where that was not the case so it was a pleasant surprise. Everything was easy to find and the store associates were more than willing to help. We found everything we needed at a reasonable price. I was super surprised that they had free local delivery available so we took advantage of that too, so it gave us less things to store in the house as our party date neared. I also used the store pickup option for ordering online and they actual delivered those items to us too without even being asked, so it saved me a trip! Everything was delivered within the time window specified and the delivery drivers were communicative. I had to return some unused items after the party and that process was a breeze too. Literally everyone I encountered at both of my trips there was pleasant, friendly and eager to help. I'm honestly baffled that it has so many bad reviews, but that wasn't my experience at all. I'd definitely come back here next time we throw a party and glad to have this place in town. read more

I order balloons for my sons birthday. I waited in my car for over 15 min after tapping that I was here and no one came out. So I called the store and selected order pick up option and was immediately picked up and put on hold for over 6 min. Went in the store after over 20 min mark. There were two women at the counter. The operations manager and another person. They were just standing there and I explained what happened and she kept saying her iPod was dead. I said but I called and was put on hold. It was super slow. Literally they were just standing around. I would probably never use this location again. First and last time. Worst customer service. read more

I stopped by last weekend to buy a last minute halloween costume and they still had a lot of stock left for halloween. Tara was quick to greet us as we walked in. The store was clean and organized :) the checkout time was quick as well! read more

So yesterday I arrived to the store super tired. Caroline stepped up an help me create a special ballon bouquet for my person. Great customer service. Thank you Caroline, for your help. Made a huge difference on my night. Your the best! read more

Pre ordered a balloon bouquet for my niece's 3rd birthday. I pre ordered online to ensure it would be in stock for the party. The only thing that bugged me was not all the store locations have store pick up! It's only certain stores which I didn't understand. This was next closest location I could do a online store pick up for. I came in right when they opened at 10am my arranged pick up time. They had my peppa the pig balloon bouquet ready to go! I added on a pink foil #3 balloon which didn't take long to inflate. I pre paid online already which made it quicker. The balloons were really good quality foil balloons. I got so many compliments and my niece loved the peppa pig balloon. Store was well kept and staff was friendly. Store looked very organized. I am happy with my balloon bouquet. I just wish they had all the stores available for online ordering and store pick up. read more

Tara is super friendly and efficient! I really like this location . Easy in and out always quick !

Glad we stopped in. Nicole helped us look at costume after costume after costume until we found exactly what we needed. Her service definitely made the difference between us getting everything we came for and more and us leaving in to look elsewhere. The prices were good (there were some sales and we had a coupon) and we did leave with a happy purchase, there weren't as many costumes in stock as we needed, but enough alternatives. It did seem there was a lot of unopened inventory and empty shelves, like the store was changing up displays, maybe need staff to stock before business hours. read more

A bit deceptive to delivery drivers when you think you are picking up a package of balloons but they are already inflated. Then charging a $10 delivery fee for the customer to take away from the driver. Overall a poor business model and staff weren't very friendly read more

I asked where I would find a specific piece to a costume and their employees response was "not here." Like, what? I don't think I need to say anymore about why I gave 1 star. read more

Came in here a few times and have always found what I needed. The cashier that helped us was friendly and quick to check us out. I like that they still have San Diego Chargers Balloons available though they've moved to LA lol. There's never a line, which is perfect if you're on a rush, which I always am, when I drop in. This location is easy to get in and out of and the lot is never too crowded unless its a weekend as it shares with an Olive Garden and a Chili's. read more

Update: 2 hours after I bought them they were on the floor. I called the store to let them know I was coming in for a refund tomorrow. They said I would have to being them now (during the birthday dinner party I was hosting) or no refund. I will NEVER shop at Party City again! Don't go here! Go to the one in San Marcos!! I came here to get balloons and the girl had blown up about 3 when I looked over and they were severely underinflated. The design didn't even show up because they weren't inflated! Well another girl came over and relieved her and I figured the problem was noted and being corrected. I somehow ended up with 1 random purple balloon and an hour later this is how it looks. One balloon has deflated and the others are following. I can't wait to see how this balloon bouquet looks in 3 hours at 5 when my husband gets home. This is your specialty!!! What is going on that none of the employees were able to inflate balloons correctly? read more

Party City - One hour later!! And the rest of the balloons are deflating as I'm writing this review! - Party Supplies Near Me - Escondido, California

Usually come here when I need items to decorate a party or for some themed holiday or celebration. The selection is pretty massive with items constantly rotating with the season and whatever festive celebration is coming next. Prices are pretty good considering a lot of what they carry are seasonal specialty items. Plenty of parking and it is easy to get to. The fews times I had to ask a question of staff, they have been helpful and pretty friendly. read more

Great service helping us pick out and delivering birthday balloons. Thank you and wonderful job.

Purchased 4 of an item, asked when purchasing if I didn't need all if I could return unused. No issue at time of purchase. Only used two, came in with 2 perfectly packaged unused items, with receipt and purchase card. Basically was treated like a criminal trying to return. I work in retail management and was treated the same way we act at Work when we know someone is returning a stolen item without receipt. When I asked why all my personal information was being demanded for a return I was served with attitude and "company policy" BS. I buy stuff from party city alllll the time for Work and have even returned for work with NO ISSUE, nor the personal invasion. This was a person receipted return for only $8 and put me in a mega annoyed mood. #waytofail No where in return policy does it state you will be treated like a thief being tracked thru a third party TRE system. read more

They always seem to have everything I need here and then some. I went there to get St. Pat's supplies and they had a HUGE wall of stuff. This store is frustrating. They have an amazing selection but the lines are always so long and the cashiers take forever to ring a single person out. I came in today to purchase some balloons and the lady tells me they don't have any helium but they have tanks for sale. Why are you advertising filled balloons but don't have the ability to fill them? I understand if a shipment was late but she offered no reason other than "We have tanks for sale" Good customer service would be opening one of those tanks and filling balloons you are selling. read more

Don't bother with this party city. It's absolutely the worst one their is. I ordered balloons for a birthday party and was told they would be ready for pick up at 9 am, I show up there is no one there and the workers stroll in looking at my like I'm crazy. I asked for the order and the girl responds laughing saying uhm no there not done we just got here. This store is just absolutely ran to the ground. I would have ordered them from my local Encinitas store but was promised an early pick up here so I committed, which was obviously a huge mistake. I'm now late on everything else I needed to do, a sense of urgency would have been nice when I they realized they completely forgot my order but it didn't seem to matter at all. read more

Placed an order online for balloon delivery which gave an assigned window of time. I went into the store personally to tell them when the delivery should be made so I would be there to receive it. The manager James told me he would make sure the delivery happened at my requested time. Needless to say I received a text notification 1 1/2 hours before the agreed upon time. I guess he just said whatever to appease me, but had no intention on following through. read more

Store is beautiful. I found what I needed. I am giving only two stars because Dalilia, the cashier, was a grumpy pants. Just had the worst experience on customer service. I don't know if is the employee fault or company policy. First of all, we went because online hrs. Said close @ 8 . So we walked in and first thing we heard a lady saying we don't do balloons. We are about to close, we are like, we not getting balloons. So we grab few things and I ask the same lady. Can we get 20 balls. She goes, you really pushing this. I'm like what . She reaffirmed you are pushing. So I dropped everything. I ask for her name said my name is Tory. She almost push us out the door. read more

Ummm...it is not dumb that this place closes by 8:30 pm on some nights. This is Escondido, not Downtown San Diego. Also, this place is not very disorganized. I have found anything I have ever needed here and it is easy to find. I have also asked the clerks for things I that I could not find and they have always been helpful and led me in the right direction. For a few parties, I have found festive paper goods (napkins, plates, cups, etc), great signs, Christmas crackers, and other knick knacks. The prices are super cheap too, especially when you show up a week before Christmas looking for items. Everything is reduced! read more

I wanted some items for the 4th of July to make our place look festive. I tried other stores but they had nothing but junk. So, I went online to Party City and lo and behold, I found everything I wanted and then some!! However, I had to restrain myself from over buying!! Completed the online order and in about 20-30 minutes (approximately), my order was ready and available for pick up. I'll definitely be using Party City again in the future! read more

My company is big on Halloween, in fact, every year, each department gets into a theme and we have a big party with food and contests and whatnot. This year, my costume is a little weird, I'm being a flying monkey (from Wicked) and I didn't want to buy the ready made costume because it was scary looking. I had to kind of put things together on my own so I got my wings and tail and ears here. Even found a good pair of gorilla gloves and shoes that made me look somewhat scary. I feel like the real Chistery now. Make sure to come here early in the day because later in the day, when the kids are out of school, they're rampaging through the store, it's really overwhelming. read more

Came to get my son's birthday balloons filled for his party the next and and was told they weren't taking orders. How inconvenient! Oh awful customer service from the cashier... won't be coming back read more

Well the 2 1/2 Stars was One and 1/2 to many. Just came to pick up some balloons and the girl behind the counter "theres a long wait" we were willing my daughters turning 16. We asked for one ballon "oh we're out" as it's up on the wall advertising availability for it. We ask for our 2nd choice. Oh we don't have that either. We asked if they can reach out to the other store as this was why we're here. "I Can't call them". To not have any communication between stores to help customers out is pretty poor. At this point me and my wife walked out. It's no wonder why Amazon is killing businesses like this. The entire store looked like a trash heap in piles. I would recommend the grocery store section with the balloons there first. At least there not advertising ones they don't have. read more

When you're looking for certain types of decorations or party favors, sometimes it's hard to find a good place to go. I've been using Party City for a while for decorations (it's my #1 Go-To spot), and it usually works out fairly well. They usually have decent seasonal stuff, but don't come here looking for anything specific. If you're relatively open-minded or looking for some ideas, usually this place will do just fine. read more

My fiancé and I had a special wedding tribute with dove balloons and decided going to this location after getting a quote would be just fine...NOPE!! The lady that came to help priced it six times more than the original quote. As we had a better experience in San Marcos we said we would just go back to them (and we did), but as we were trying to leave she continued the horrible service with a lie that the other locations was out of helium. We will not come to this location again for any event/party supplies. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I've been a yelp user for many years. The customer service is absolutely horrible. I wanted to place an order for 22 balloons. I told them I needed Carolina Panthers Blue colored balloons and the manager (woman, didn't catch her name) continued to list blue colors they have. I simply asked if she could look up the South Carolina Panthers blue color and she said she could NOT. This is a manager...... Do you not have a smartphone for a quick google search? read more

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I came for a $15 balloon and after paying for it, I was asked to go look around the store because she had to help another customer who was behind me. Horrible Customer Service!! Waited in a super long line for costumes. When we finally got to the front of the line, the woman working the line jerked her head back and went "Whoa!", when she turned around and looked at me. She immediately informed me that I was going to have to wait a minute. She turned around and started laughing and talking to the man bringing costumes up to her. She was talking about breaks and what she was doing after work, and laughing it up. When she finally finishes up her personal conversation, she turns around and says, "Now, which costumes?", no longer smiling. She definitely is on a power trip and did not like me at first sight. But when you are in customer service, your priority should be the customer and your job. The costume was missing pieces that according to the label were supposed to be included (the mask, gloves, and an accessory). So I returned it to her, placing it in the box, and quickly told her we weren't purchasing and, (just so she is aware), it is missing pieces. I had turned to leave and was walking away. The store is packed, and she yells at me without looking at the costume nor the label, "Those pieces are extra! You have to buy those separately!!", while waving her hand in the air at me like she was batting a fly. She didn't even know which pieces I was referring to. I told her no that the label clearly states what is included, and before I could finish my sentence, she yells that she is busy and will deal with me in a minute. Clearly she must not have been paying attention, I was not purchasing. My son and I were obviously leaving. We did not ask for another costume. I had clearly just put the costume in the empty box, stating we were not purchasing it, and turned to leave. This has got to be one of the worst Party Cities in San Diego, as far as customer service. We usually either go to the Party City in Poway or Point Loma. We had never been to this one before, and we will NEVER go to this one again. If you want to be treated with common decency, don't go here. read more

I'm not sure if you can yelp 0 stars but this place is so unorganized. Considering this is such a specialty place I expected more of a selection, better service, and most of all more organization.
