I used this service for my sons 10th birthday. The bus smelled like smoke. The driver was 35 min late to pick us up from the arena, we had to wait in the freezing rain for 35 min with 18 kids at 10 pm. And to top it all off we had to stop for gas on the way home, the driver should have used the 5 hours he had while we were at the game to fill the bus with gas. I called to company to let them know about it and they said they would call the driver and get back to me about why that happened. The driver was a nice guy but the entire purpose of hiring a service is to have them waiting and ready for you when you need to leave. The 2 stars is because the driver was nice but besides that, it was very expensive and the service should have been professional, a late pick up in acceptable! 35 min in the freezing rain with kids is unacceptable, especially when your paying top dollar. read more

Do not use this party bus service! It's unfortunate that you cannot give fewer than 1 star, they deserve none. We reserved a bus to take my family to Radio City Music Hall. We agreed to an 8 am pickup and return home by 5 pm. Overtime was a set amount of $250 per hour. $500 credit card deposit, then $965 in cash at pickup. Never dealt with a car service that wanted so much cash but whatever. The problems started early. Driver arrived at 8 but was completely unprepared and had no idea how to operate the vehicle. We literally stood in the rain for 10 minutes while he pressed every button in the vehicle in an attempt to unlock and open the sliding door. Once inside we realize there's no ice that was promised to us. Driver said he'd stop and get some but since we're 15 minutes behind at this point I just go back in the house to get what ice we had. Finally off we go. Driver gave us no instructions on how to operate the heat or the audio/video controls but after pressing every button for 15 minutes at least we had the heat going. Drive down the Palisades was wild with speeds over 75 MPH to make up for our late start. The rest of the afternoon went well until it was time to go home. We got hung up in traffic so we finished dinner late. John, our driver, called me at dinner to give me the heads up about the overtime and I said I understood and no problem. We get to the bus and he tells me he needs $250 in cash or he can't move the bus. I explain they have my credit card and just to charge that because I don't have the cash...or an ATM card for that matter. He tells me I need to call dispatch. They want cash. Just cash. After about 20 minutes they agree to take a Zelle payment but give me the wrong information so the payment doesn't go through. Now I'm on the phone with this woman Nicole who I assume is the owner. She tells me I have six minutes to get the cash or she is going to throw my 91 year old mother, along with my 80 year old mother-in-law off the bus, onto the street, in the pouring rain. I tell her I have the cash at home and because she has my credit card this won't be a problem. Not acceptable to this insane woman. Thankfully the dispatcher sent the correct information and the Zelle payment went through before we were ejected from the bus. This was insane. The contract, which I have included a picture of, clearly states that by signing the contract you are allowing them to authorize your credit card for $250 for each hour of overtime. It also says if you don't pay in cash, your card will be charged. This nasty and arrogant woman was going to throw two old ladies and the rest of my family off a bus not because I refused payment but because she is obsessed with cash! She later said that "people dispute credit card charges all the time from us". Well, if you have a signed contract, the customer's dispute will not stand. Well run, legitimate business, do not have chronic problems with customers disputing charges. Very sketchy operation. Don't believe me...check out her complaints at the Better Business Bureau. Also....be aware this Nicole watches and listens to you through hidden cameras on the vehicle. I understand she wants to protect her property but it's pretty creepy when she relays the things she's seen your family doing on the vehicle. Your response is pathetic Nicole. There were no "disconnections" in our conversation. I was attempting to make a Zelle payment after being given the incorrect information by your employees. I didn't have time to chit chat with you before you were going to throw my mom out onto the street. And that is EXACTLY what and how you said it. I'm not interested in your "accomodations". I want everyone to know you're a horrible human being that runs a sketchy read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I got this party bus to celebrate my bachelor/bachelorette party with my fiancé and our closest friends on June 4th, 2022. The bathroom had no lock on the door, no running water from the sink, and smelled like pee. After just 2 hours on the bus, the speakers cut out entirely. The driver spent about 15 minutes trying to fix it but there seemed to be nothing wrong. Speakers were on, volume was up, bluetooth & aux were both connected successfully, music was playing, but no sound. We contacted the company and they were extremely unprofessional and unwilling to listen to what we had to say. They told us that they would investigate and give us a call back later in the day. The next day after receiving no phone call, we called again only to be told that nothing was wrong with the bus and everything was working fine. They said we must be lying & that was turned off the speakers ourselves. If we had turned them off, why wouldn't we turn them back on? The manager was dismissive & said she "didn't want to do this with me right now." A refund with this company is impossible even if they don't provide the services they promise. And the other reviews make it very obvious. Don't waste your time or money on these busses that are too small to hold as many people as they claim to. read more

I am highly disappointed with the service my guest and I experienced Saturday evening! I had dinner reservations for a large party at 7pm, the bus was scheduled to arrive for pick up at 5:30pm unfortunately the bus did not arrive until about 7pm and to make matters worse I wasn't even notified, I had to contact dispatch/customer service and find out why the bus hadn't shown up, the woman I spoke to wasn't very helpful! About half way through our trip which was only supposed to be a 55 minute ride, we ended up on the side of the road so the driver could figure out how to defrost the windows, because he could no longer see the road, the 55 minute ride turned into about a hour and a half ride causing me to be extremely late to a planned 65th birthday celebration for my mother and her guests. We were about ten minutes away from the restaurant when things completely went downhill and the bus broke down, so myself as well as my disabled mother and her guests had to walk in the rain and cold to the restaurant, I again contacted dispatch who said they would send another bus to get us back home. Dispatch did indeed have another bus waiting for us outside the restaurant, we all loaded and the driver informed us that there was no A.C, we also had to sit on laps and stand up because the bus was smaller than the 45 passenger bus I paid for, my brother spent the entire ride home standing up wiping the front windshield since the bus driver had no A.C so he was unable to see properly and unable to defrost the windows. Overall, this was a complete disaster, disappointment, and waste of money! The transportation company from HELL! I absolutely would NOT recommend their services to anyone and would advise they have all their buses serviced by a proper mechanic asap and ensure they hire bus drivers who have experience driving and fully operating the bus. Paying customers should be safely transported and enjoy the ride as intended read more

I had a lot of concerns about renting a bus for my daughter's birthday. Everything from customer service through the last minute went super A+. We had a bus queen rose. Our driver John Green arrived an hour earlier. He was very professional, experienced and caring. He took girls around the city and safety was his priority ! As a mom, I am very thankful to John to make my daughter very special, fun and safe. Bus was lovely. AC was working great, girls can controll it themselves. Lights were amazing. Music was loud. The only thing I can suggest is capacity. Even though it says 12 ppl, I recommend 7-8 if you want to be comfortable. Unlimited soda and water was provided. read more

The absolute worst experience ever. The phone staff was especially rude (Nicole). It's like they took pleasure in refusing to help us find a lost item. Will never use this bus service again. read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would! Horrible customer service! All issues could have been avoided if they followed their own contract and contacted us in advance. 36 hours before service time I reached out to them to confirm details of my 40 passenger bus. I left 1 email and called 3 times with no response. Annoyingly, Leah assured me at 5pm the night before our party that Nicole would reach out to confirm. Nicole never confirmed. The day of, I called and emailed again, with no response. The bus driver called 10 minutes after pick up time and said that he "thought the pick up was in NJ and he will be 1.5 hours late!" Not sure why an Oceanside company would think Seaford was in NJ, but they tried to blame me and they lied saying they spoke to me in advance, which never happened. In the end we were able to get another company last minute (Camelot from Farmingdale- amazing!!!) Party Bus Express is a horrible company, horrible customer service, never use! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE PLANNING AN IMPORTANT EVENT. DRIVER called, could not understand him, tried to say he is in traffic but couldn't tell us where he was. 33 guests were waiting to be picked up to make it to a church on time. He called back ten minutes before he was expected and his location would have us nearly one hour late. We called the office, spoke with Nicole who was incredibly rude, trying to blame us initially, despite having signed contract, everything confirmed in writing, and wasted what little time we had arguing with us, when we needed to be contacting our family members and guests to let them know they needed to find their own rides. The following Monday was promised full refund, in writing. Following week, in writing confirmed address to mail check, and so on. That was August. Today, had to advise our attorney to proceed with litigation. Do not trust them, professional only in terms of booking, nothing further. It is not worth taking the chance on any important event in which you cannot be late for. read more

We used their services this past weekend for a round trip to the theatre on Broadway. The transportation was everything we expected. Our driver was Lillian. She served more as a host than just a driver. Arrived early and made sure the bus was stocked with water, soda, and ice. Lillian ran thru the itinerary to make sure everything was clear as well as getting our Bluetooth connected on the bus. She was extremely accommodating and reliable, between theatre and after dinner plans and with an extra stop on the way back. when I use their service again for my daughter's prom this Spring, we will be requesting her for the service. I hired them for my daughter sweet 16 Saturday, 4/22/23. They were the only company that called me when I requested a quote, so that was a positive. 2 days prior, I got 2 calls to confirm the address and time. One call from driver one from Nicole . Impressive, right? I was like, wow, they are proactive. Very nice and polite. I was extremely happy after experiencing a bad situation from my other daughter experience with another party bus company. Party Express was expected to come to my house at 415pm, so we can take pictures prior to heading to the venue for 5 pm. At 415pm, I received a call from Nicole saying the bus had a technical issue and was leaving the garage, expecting it to arrive by 5 pm. At 5 pm, I called looking for the bus. Guess what? The bus was still in the garage and expected to arrive in 45 min. At this point, I lost it they offered to Uber us, but we had a sweet 16 court, a big group of kids, and that was not the point. Fast forward. The bus got to my house at 630 pm making us late to venue with all our guests were already there. The bus was disgusting dirty smelled of fumes we aired the bus got on. She was to email me 1hr prior to bus arrival with a discounted invoice and did not but was very adiment of not moving the bus until they received payment first. I was so upset and flushed, worried about the time my daughter was extremely upset. The Bluetooth didn't work, so that meant no radio either. While arguing to move the bus and get us there while I relaxed a min and reached for my wallet . She was yelling, telling me we would not move until you pay. Now she bought out the nasty in me so to your imagination my mouth and attitude. So i pay and we move driving slow because bus was not to par. I had 3 cars follow me just in case we broke down. Your probably saying get in the car instead of bus but we didn't know how bad the ride would be and didn't want to rcompletly ruin my daughter's experience We arrive at the venue. And the hood of the bus popped open, making the driver stop short the kids came flying to the front of bus Mortified at this situation I had all the kids get out. Called Nicole back to tell her what happened. And miraculously, she said they were sending another bus to pick us up after the party. The bus was good but still not to our expectations. I felt bad for the driver, of course, not his fault, but he got an earful. So please don't hire them for your special events. They are horrible they should not be in business. One of the most unsafe and worst experiences ever!! We rented a 15 passenger for an all day winery trip to Long Island. Upon pick up it was quite obvious that only 12 adults at best fit. The driver called the company and they insisted that upon the rental we were told that even though it's a 15 seater it only seats maybe 13. There is no way in the world I would have said "ok let me rent something that doesn't hold all our passengers and let's be uncomfortable and put in danger for a 2.5 hour rountrip experience". There were only 12 physical seat belts, so I call BS. The company refused to make this situation right. With no other choice we proceeded to leave or we would have lost the money spent on the prepaid reservations for the day. One of the passengers had to sit on the ledge with the garbage can and cup holders. Another passenger had to sit on the floor with the step down. The driver was nice enough but asked multiple times where her 20% gratuity was. They only take cash at the end to pay your balance and I think this is because they know their about to screw you and know that if you use credit card you can fit it with the card company. Whatever you do steer far away from this company!! read more

AWFUL SAVE YOUR MONEY. They were 45 minutes late. The driver was texting and driving even FaceTiming someone. She had no idea where the stops were. Used Party Bus Express for my daughter's 15th birthday. The driver was handed an agreed upon fee with an additional tip of $100 upfront (for 5 hours of work) He proceeded to demand "a mandatory tip of 20%" before the bus took off. The contract did not stipulate any set gratuity and was at customer's discretion. Essentially a grown man extorted a 15 year old girl for additional money before departure. I called the following day and explained what happened. The response of the management in a nutshell was "too bad and we don't really care" will review cams and get back to you in 7-14 days. This is the utmost horrendous company I've dealt with in my life, lemme tell you booking and taking out money was easy part, but once it came to the actual date of our party bus it's nothing but disappointment. I booked the Queen Lea party bus for my best friend and his fiancé I wanted this to be a day that they wouldn't forget with all their close friends and family. When we first got on the bus we noticed the bathroom smelled horrible, the bathroom had no lock, and the bathroom had no running water in the toilet or sink. DISGUSTING! also we had trouble connecting to the sound system right away but after about 15 mins of trying to connect we finally did, and we were off on our trip, at first it was fun but we made it to our first stop in Manhattan which by time frame took us about an hr, once we got there and got off we stayed about an hr in the city free roaming taking pics etc... Once we got back on the bus our sound system completely was not working, our phones connected and the song was shown playing but no sound was being made from the speakers. Had the bus driver try to help us but to no avail what he did helped. So for the time remaining which was 2.5hrs we were with out music. It would've been better and cheaper of we took public transportation at that point. So comes to the end of the night I spoke with the driver personally and asked him "as far as refund I gotta go through the company right?" he then said "yes just give them a call and they should be able to help you." unfortunately once I called spoke with the manager she 1st incredibly rude and no professionalism at all. I told her the situation and she said "ok yes well do an investigation and look into this and we'll call you back later" I was cool in waiting waitng waitng and the day passes no call. So the next day call back ask for the same lady again, to which she then tells me " oh we checked it out and our mechanic says you guys turned off the speakers" I'm like WHATTTT! "what'd do you Eman we turned them off" I asked, she said "yea idk how but you guys were messing around with the system and somehow turned them off" your telling me if we turned them off and but for some reason we couldn't turn them back on? How does that even work. I asked "well isn't the driver supposed to know the ins and outs of the bus and stereo system?" she said "no he's just a driver" I then replied "what he's not suppose to tell ppl how to operate the stereo system??" she said " well only how to connect and play" I'm like you must be joking. In the end the manager was incredibly rude and dishonest and it just shows how shitty their customer service is when they blame the customer for a horrendous experience. Over the past two years, I've had an absolutely horrible experience with this company. I originally booked two buses totaling $4,000 back in the winter of 2020 before covid began. These two buses were booked to be used in May of 2020, however, when May came around, we were not able to use them because of covid. At the beginning, John claimed he would give me a full refund. I was refunded half of my payment ($2,000) in 2021. I've been trying to get the other half back for over 6 months now. The staff continues to be extremely unhelpful, difficult to get in contact with, and overall unresponsive. Every time that I am able to get in contact with someone, they say they are not able to give me a refund, and that John will have to call me back. However, John never calls me back. I was able to get in contact with someone in Febuary, and they now claim that they can't find any record of my reservation or name in the system. Therefore, being unable to refund the rest of my payment. I cannot express enough how much to avoid booking with Party Express NY. This is 100% the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We just rented a party bus from Party Bus Express to take both of our boys and 14 of their friends to and from the senior prom. The experience was wonderful! They accommodated us last minute and our driver, Lillian, was awesome. She drove down to South Jersey to pick up the kids and arrived early, went over everything about the bus with kids and set up the sound system for them right away. After the prom she took them to the prearranged diner spot and texted me pics and stayed in communication with us so we knew when the kids would be arriving back home. Don't believe the bad reviews!! This company was top notch from getting a quote right through the drop off. Sue in the office was very polite and helpful with our booking and the pricing was one of the best I received! They followed up a day before my rental to confirm all of the details. On the night of my event Rob the driver showed up around the corner from my house an hour and 15 minutes early! We went over to meet him and see the bus, which was awesome!! Rob could not have been nicer, he was a gentleman and reassured us that all would go smoothly throughout the night (By the way if you have him as a driver check out his hairdo it's awesome!) Don't be surprised if the driver asks for the balance of the payment and gratuity up front, I would do the same in their situation there are a lot of deadbeats out there!!! We confirmed our itinerary with Rob and he said he would pull up to the house 15 minutes before our departure. Sure enough right on schedule Rob pulled up and we loaded the bus. The drive to Manhattan from Westchester was quick and everyone on the bus was having a great time. We arrived at our destination and went into the club we were goimg to. Before departing the bus we told Rob we might want to get Pizza at the end of the night. He said no problem and we agreed on a return to the bus time. While we were in the club Rob took it upon himself to find a Pizza place around the corner so when we returned we could go directly there. On the return trip Rob missed our exit, or we thought Rob missed our exit, but he saw that everyone was having fun and decided to drive around a little longer because we had time left on our rental. That is service as far as I am concerned!! Thanks for a great evening Party Buss Express. Do not hesitate to use this company they are great!! read more

Our driver, Lillian, was great! Arrived early and made sure we had what we needed at all times. Fun bus and good company to work with.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. Please read the saga. Rented the large bus with the bathroom to take 20 coworkers on a work trip. Booking was a breeze and I really thought we hit the jackpot. We were supposed to leave at 7:30am and while loading our bus our driver accidently hit something on the electrical panel with a suitcase and we lost all power on the bus (AC, Lights, Music, etc.) our driver facetimed a mechanic several times and then decided around 8:15am (45 minutes after we needed to leave) we needed another bus. We were making one stop along the way so we asked him to take the bus there to which he responded his other driver didn't want to drive that far from the office and he would meet on somewhere in the bronx. The drive there with no AC , music, or lights was horrible. Also, all the black window shades were broken and stuck down so we were in pitch black. The driver also missed our turn and did an illegal and terrifying K turn ON THE HIGHWAY which injured one of our more elderly guests. We arrive and are told the new bus will be there in 20 minutes. The new bus brings a mechanic with his young son. We are told he needs two minutes to fix our bus and to wait on the second bus. The second bus that comes is half the size with no bathroom so a few of us decide we need to go back on the old bus to use the restroom. While waiting for the bathroom we hear a pop, a scream, and the next thing i know smoke is flooding the bus. Something EXPLODED while we were on the bus!!!!! The mechanic son was the one who was screaming and we are ushered off the bus and onto the new one. Naturally everyone is pretty shaken from the explosion and we are told we must take small bus the rest of the trip. Before leaving we discussed payment and were told $300 on credit card and the rest on Zelle. We are a company so we don't have a company Zelle so we asked many times to use credit and were told no. TAKE THIS WARNING. Knowing this is extremely sketchy and 99% used to avoid paying proper taxes we download Zelle and get it ready. We get off the bus 2.5 hours after we needed to arrive and the driver says "he only accepts C-A-S-H CASHHHH!" were like uhh no we don't have $1,500 cash, we don't feel comfortable giving cash, and we just had the worst day ever and they want us to pay full price for this????? He does not have the Zelle name or number and calls for over 25 minutes. Finally we explain we cant wait around forever as we are on a work trip and we have to go to meetings. We remind him he does have a credit card on file and he tells us we can go. 45 minutes after we left (1 hour after we got there) I receive a text from Lenny saying if we don't pay we are not allowed off the bus.....ummm Lenny we got off an hour ago after being 2.5 hours late. I had 3 missed call from 1 minute, 2 minutes, and 3 minutes before from a number. I immediately call back. I explain to Lenny what happened and he tells me he has no authority to do anything but get the payment. He said we have a contract and must pay the full amount, I asked where in the contract it says if the bus blows up, we get put on a smaller bus, show up 2.5 hours late with injured people we have to pay full price and he keeps saying we have a contract. I tell him because I am at a work lunch I will have to do the Zelle in 20 minutes and to please let me know who to send it to. At this point we are still happy to even pay the full amount to put this behind us. Right when I get off the phone I am contacted by the driver who is screaming at me about not paying?! Does he not remember we tried to an hour ago??? I explain to him I spoke to Lenny and we are handling it. He is still yelling at me and starts threatening me so I hang up the phone. Lenny calls back and immediately starts threating me also. Saying he alerted the driver to not leave and to call the police, we don't want to mess with them, there a corporation and going to destroy us, get us arrested right now, on and on. We remind him he does have a credit card on file and if he wants immediate payment to charge the card. After lunch I do go outside to the front of the hotel where I see the police they called. I explain to the cop what is going on and the cop is seemingly confused as we did not "run away" from paying because 1. I am standing in the front and 2. they have a credit card on file. After hearing our story the police they called alerts us not to pay him via Zelle or cash because this "seems sketchy" and tells the driver to use the credit card and leave or he is going to get a ticket for trespassing. The cop then told us he is going to file a report incase MY COMPANY needs it. Remember that this is the cop that Party Bus Rental called and he is now on our side. I spoke to one of the owners yesterday who instead of apologizing made every excuse in the book for everything that happened. Including telling me as a "courtesy" she is not charging us for the extra two hours.....the two hours we were late for the bus read more

One thing I will say is that I wish the technology on the buses were a bit more user friendly for playing music! Otherwise, I'd rent with this company again & again! read more
