However the next day the store manager refused to return my part. Once I showed my sales receipt to the sales associate on duty, she remained understanding and professional and completed my exchange. While waiting for the completion of my transaction, the manager continued to talk loudly and in a condescending and unprofessional tone. I'm thankful for the sales associate who helped and was very professional. Unfortunately I will not be shopping at this Advance Auto Parts store anymore.

Mind you, I really do not know much about headlights, fog lights, connections, HID, LED, etc. lol This is why I entrusted the employees at AutoZone to steer me in the right direction. The store seems fairly large. I didn't do much exploring. There were only 2 employees (that I could see) working and both were busy so I waited my turn. The first gentlemen who helped me seemed awfully confused. I don't blame him. It seems like you have to know A LOT considering all cars are made definitely. He kind of stared at my fog light for a few minutes while shaking his head and muttering no before asking me my car information. He checked their system and things just got super confusing from there. Let me say, the fog light had a sticker on it that said H8/H9/H11. I have NO idea what these numbers indicate but I guess he found out my car used H11 so I truly have no idea what the other numbers were for. We stood staring at the fog lights for a good 6 minutes before I just said never mind I'm going to just order online. He then said he was going to ask his coworker. His coworker then took a look at it and said they didn't have it. Maybe there was some miscommunication because I was not looking for that EXACT brand and or fog light. I just needed something that would fit my vehicle as my fog light was burnt out. I kept saying that but I kept being told they didn't carry HID/LED fog lights. I eventually just said okay again and made my way out of the store. I ordered the fog lights online as soon as I got back to my car. Needless to say I wasted 30 minutes of my life.

I get that quick pickups are easy, but it still felt dismissive. Thankfully, Rolando completely turned things around. He greeted me right away when he noticed me waiting after he helped someone else who went in once he came from the back, he actually listened, and gave helpful advice about why my car might not be starting even though my battery was fine(he did the test for me). I took my car recently and the mechanic misplaced the gas cap. You take your car to the auto service shop to get it fixed, not bring it home with new problems. When I went to the shop to check if the gas cap was there, they flat out refused to look for it and instead accused me of losing it. Like I would try to swindle a business for a $30 gas cap. That's less than what I pay for a full tank of gas. There are plenty of good auto service shops in the area that do fantastic work for reasonable prices and have excellent customer service. I will be taking my vehicle to one of those places.

This is a guru shop - from simple work to engine rebuilds to even engine swaps, they can do it all. They listen well and they tell you the truth. There are shops out there that say they do the work and don't actually do it...have heard stories. This is not one of those - old fashioned expertise and respect but full bore tech skills. True car nuts. My F-type is super happy using this shop - as is our vr6 R32. I have been to a lot of shops over the years - this is one of the good ones. Highly recommended. I plan to keep supporting them.

For most reading Yelp reviews, your actual experience with car parts is probably going to the dealership for everything or Jiffy Lube for an oil change. If you know a little about getting things a little less expensive? Then check them out. Everything from wheels, replacement mirrors, name it.....this place is worth a phone call for a used part that you need if a NEW one is not necessary. Call first however and ask for Tim......They don't necessarily keep everything on the premises, so call him so he can get it from his inventory network.
