I was delightfully surprised by this spot in Biddeford. I knew they had sandwiches and some baked goods, but I didn't know they were also a specialty market offering a limited, but well curated selection of produce, cheeses, beer, wine, and even some health and body stuff too! Take your time to look around - it's a really spacious shop, but with minimal decor (which I'm seeing more and more throughout Maine). You can grab a coffee, or pick up stuff to go, and there's more seating inside then there seems (and it's such a beautiful space, why wouldn't you want to order a sandwich and a sweet and tuck in with a good book?). I do wish there were more vegetarian and vegan paninis; at the time I came there was one option. The rest all had meat; I suppose you could order something like the Caprese (Genoa salami, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, pesto mayo, and roasted garlic spread) without the salami and maybe with the addition of avocado (for an upcharge, of course; side note/rant: I wish more places would cancel out that upcharge when substituting an animal protein, y'know?). In the end I had the KSO (tomato chutney, candied jalapeños, avocado, smoked gouda, red onions, greens, and tomatoes on focaccia), and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time (that bread is something else). It was an incredibly flavorful, hefty sandwich that definitely filled me up! Because I know a) their panini options change, and 2) they can come up with creative, inspired sandwich ideas I'm hoping that in the future they'll include more meat-free options!

Part & Parcel is a pleasant surprise in downtown Biddeford. The shop offers locally sourced items including fresh vegetables local craft beer and wine and many healthy choices. It also has a kitchen, serving up specialty sandwiches. It is a little pricey, but clean, friendly, and a lovely hip atmosphere.

After doing some Christmas shopping at Part & Parcel, the smell of their sandwich counter won us over. We grabbed a few paninis to go and were racing home to be able to eat them. We were not disappointed! For about $20 total, we both got massive and DELICIOUS paninis made from quality ingredients. On top of all this, we were so glad to support such a great local business. Can't wait to explore their panini menu more!

Go here. Go here now. Put down your phone and get in your car (or ride a bus, or ride a bike, or walk) and drive here. Especially if it's a Friday or Saturday because that is when they serve breakfast burritos. We went for the first time this morning and each got a breakfast burrito. My husband got sausage and I got bacon and we shared. Both were amazing but the bacon was really something special. These burritos have delicious homefries, peppera and onions, egg, meat, and cheese in them. They are grilled on the outside so they get a little crisp. They are served with salsa and sour cream. Everything about them is magical. We got our daughter a Nutella bomb and that was also delicious. It is a little a pricey, BUT it's worth it because most of their products and produce are locally sourced. They also make sandwiches which you can call ahead an order to take to work. They have fresh made salads and little bento boxes you can also grab that are great to take for lunch. On top of all of this they sell a wide variety or wine, beer, cider and local cheese. My husband found aome strawberry mint hard cider that looked amazing, but alas I'm pregnant so I'll have to go back. Seriously, do yourself a favor and visit this place!

Here in Maine from the west coast as a traveling health care professional and thought I'd try this place for breakfast on my day off. Ordered a breakfast sandwich on their house made English muffin and it was absolutely delicious!! High quality ingredients, lots of flavor, hot, fresh, and ample in size! I'm very impressed and looking forward to trying the rest of the menu including some of the baked goods that look so tempting!

Stopped for a quick lunch today and opted for a cheesecake bento box... a classic move on my part. I love stopping at this lovely speciality market for sandwiches or grabbing meats and cheeses to bring home. Everything is always fresh and locally made. They also offer organic products such as oils, deodorants and other hygiene products and cleaning products! I absolutely prefer this one-stop-shop over searching through the grocery store.

I got the chicken salad sandwich was was VERY tasty but the sandwich was literally the size of my palm. I thought $8 seemed like a fair price... now I realize how overpriced they are. This was SUCH a good sandwich, just too bad the size is so disappointing! EDIT: omg just found the pickle under the sandwich- THIS IS NOT A DRILL they have cut the pickle into at least 4 pieces. I did not eat the pickle before I took this picture.

I stumbled into Edelweiss Pastry Shop this weekend and WOW...I need to get my eyes checked because…read moreI have been MISSING OUT BIGTIME! I am sad that it took me this long to find a quality, delicious croissant in Southern Maine. This is not your average bakery. This is the kind of spot where you take one bite and immediately go quiet because your brain is trying to process how something can taste that good. Each piece is a little work of art! They had these tiny chocolate creme tarts/pie with mango coulis and wow. An absolute dream. Everything we tried was next-level--light, flavorful, not overly sweet, and clearly made with serious skill. The pastries have that authentic European feel where quality and technique come first, not just sugar overload. I am proud to say that I indulged in their croissants and chocolate creme TWICE this weekend. Totally worth it. Biddeford is lucky to have this place. Go visit, your mouth will thank me. Pro tip: go early... because once people figure this out, good luck getting your hands on anything by noon.

With an impending storm coming I think some people stocked up to enjoy some delicious pastries while being snowed in. You step foot into the small yet well set up shop and are instantly looking at the pastries for offer. After the breakfast pastries you will find cases of other pastries and cakes and lastly bon bons and truffles. They do have a small amount of seating/tables if you must eat your goodies right away. My wife and I each grabbed something to bring home and enjoy a little later since we had breakfast nearby. My wife got their Tres Leche cake and absolutely loved it. While I got the Black Forest Petit Gâteau, that was perfectly rich yet balanced out and was good til the last bite. These two treats impressed us and now we know the quality this shop makes and look forward to coming back and trying more.
