So, I posted the job on Yelp where Carlos, with Rooter Tech was one of the first to respond. We were able to coordinate a convenient time for the following morning. Right on time Saturday morning we have two Rooter Tech, plumbers here and ready to go. After explaining the scrub head sucking, toilet situation and for asking to add a tank rebuild to the estimate/project, they got to work. It didn't take too long before they came back with a price that was fair, to do the work. Rooter Tech, was the third plumbing contractor we got an estimate from and it was worth it to hold out for the right people. Everything about this project was efficient, stress free and I'm throughly satisfied. The toilet is working great, no complaints!

I used Royal Flush to install new water service from the meter to a new construction ADU, and also…read morerough in the plumbing and drain lines. Quite an involved job. Problems started the first day. When connecting to the water meter, they decided to use a sawzall on the copper manifold that was connected to the meter to avoid digging down an extra 6 inches. When the city discovered this, they replaced it with a new one, and billed them for it. They were unfamiliar with ground covers for the underground shut off valves, and took them 3 months to find correct ones. When they were finally installed, they were set above grade of the surrounding grass so a lawn mower would hit them. Not surprising considering the guy showed up without a shovel and was digging with his hands. I had to dig them up and re-set them myself. Severely lacking attention to detail. During rough-in, they broke out the concrete foundation in the wrong location, leaving me with gaping hole in the concrete stem wall, visible in the main entry next to the front door. When asked to repair it, Kendrick (the owner) said that they were unfamiliar with how to patch concrete. No accountability. When installing A supply/drain box for the washing machine, it was installed at 30" above the floor where it would be inaccessible once a washing machine was installed. I asked Kendrick to move it up high enough so it could be accessed once a washer was in place. He said he would, but it never happened, just plain laziness. The drain lines were put under test and passed inspection. But 24 hours later it started leaking in 2 places. When I asked for a follow up test, they sent me a quote for $1700 - just to fill the system with water!REALLY??? When questioned about what happens if it leaks after drywall and cabinets are installed, I was informed their warranty would cover THEIR parts and labor, and I would be responsible for any drywall, cabinets, and flooring damage due to a leak. When they routed vent pipes in the attic, there was no strapping on any of the pipes to support them. The rubber seal in the roof for the vent pipe was cut very poorly and daylight is visible. When this was brought to their attention, they said to have my roofer fix it. Again, poor attention to detail and no accountability. I have repeatedly called and asked them to come back and fix these issues for weeks, but there is always an excuse. Our scheduler left early, our scheduler is out until next week, our phones are giving us trouble, we're too busy. When I hired them, they were able to start the job right away, no scheduler needed, but now all I get is lip service I would not recommend them for installing any fixtures or rough-in work unless you want to finish the job yourself. Clearing a backed up toilet is about all they are qualified for.

I've had them do quite a lot to my home over the last few months. they installed A/C, some…read moreelectrical outlets in my garage and then a 50A 220V circuit. I'd like to say it all went perfectly smooth but, that would be wrong. there were some hiccups along the way. the A/C didn't play nice with our furnace. they did get it working correctly but, it took an extra day or maybe 2... I don't really recall. communication was excellent through the process and in the end, we were very happy with the work. fast forward a month or so and I officially decided I had enough of not enough outlets in the garage. I got a quote for several things at once (my bad... got serious sticker shock) but, my wife when she guessed at the price was dead on the spot. we had some (not all) of that work done and it was excellent. seriously happy with all of it. next, we got a call from some kind of scheduler so we could get a few things done as part of the [free] contract that was given to us since we had the A/C put in. they came out, flushed the water heater, inspected under the house, faucets, toilets (fixed how one flushes because he was there) and made some recommendations. most of what he was suggesting was serious upsell and I wanted none of that. there were 2 things that I would have agreed to but, we haven't had that done yet. the first item was some leaking outdoor faucets. should be simple and straight forward repair. the other, our dishwasher can create a stinky drain as it is not properly vented. this is where it got weird. we've got custom ONE PIECE counter tops and the part of it that has the sink is L-shaped and pushing 30 Feet long. he wanted to drill it to add the baffle to the drain for the dishwasher. I wasn't comfortable with that really expensive counter top being drilled and asked for some kind of alternative. he refused stating that code stated it HAS to go through the countertop. hum... I need to look into it and see if that's accurate. there were some other little things along that adventure that I didn't appreciate but, not important enough to write it out in this really long review. lastly and most importantly is why they still got a 5-star review from me in spite of that [what felt to me like a disastrous] plumbing adventure. when the 220V circuit was added to my garage I wasn't happy in the least. I called them up, expressed my concern and they made time to come out and look and also to talk to me about it. Need to be really clear that the work was not done in any way that could be even remotely unsafe, that wasn't the problem. they listened to what I had to say, understood my position and then they took care of it right on the spot even though it required removing and redoing the whole job. I can seriously get behind a company that will stand behind their work in this fashion. you could say it was kind of the same thing when the A/C didn't initially work. they didn't give up, and now we've got good A/C.

Instead, he calmly pointed out that what I thought was my drain in the floor was simply a crack in the foundation and advised me to seal this shut. The original installer was no longer around and it turned out they had made some mistakes in the installation causing the breakage of a part due to water and dust in the coolant because there was no filter dry installed. It was not an easy thing to find because it looked just fine at first. I had 2 other companies over to try and fix it but they could not find what was wrong and more or less abandoned me. Then I found 2 sons and I am so glad I did. 2 SONS sent Steven over and he really knows heat pumps. He went through the entire system very carefully and finally found the problem.....which he fixed beautifully. He went above and beyond helping me and trying not to cost me too much money. I can't thank him enough. And Debbie in the office was so helpful too. When she knew I couldn't take the heat due to a stroke, she made sure I got help right away. A big thank you to 2 Sons!
