This is the best car buying experience I've had. I ordered a Ford Maverick through this dealership. I arranged to pick it up at 11 AM one day after it arrived at dealership (right after salesman's 10 AM appointment). The salesman arranged to get it through final prep the day it arrived to make it happen. Then I showed up at dealership at 9 AM. I explained I understood if I needed to wait until my appointment time. The salesman (James Shaw) said he would do what he could before his appointment arrived. Thanks to his efforts, we were out of the dealership by 11 to 11:30 AM. The only reason it took that long is because I asked the salesman to over the new technology in the vehicle with me that I had never seen and because the dealership filled the truck with gas for me before I left the dealership. I will definitely look to Parrish Ford first when I buy my next vehicle! read more

So I purchased a ford edge from another dealer. Fuel tank was leaking and failed inspection. Spoke to ford corporate and they told me I was out of luck twice. Spoke to two other dealers and they told me it was a 2600 fix. Sheehee did not step up. Beware of sheehey. My mechanic said a new tank is on a nationwide back order. Evidently there were a ton of people with the same issue. So I typed in my vin number at the ford website. The same info I gave ford corporate and Bing! Rec.all notice. So they connected me to Tom Chisholm and he took care of me and gave me a loaner car and I felt like he actually cared about my issue. Unusual these days because I have to deal with bozos like verizon direct tv cox cable etc. My next car will be purchased here because they step up and do the right thing. Hope this type of story can improve the corporate culture. By the way my other ford truck is running strong at 220k miles. I recommend doing biz with Parrish Ford. Good personal small town feel minutes from downtown richmond va. Its worth the drive. read more

UPDATE at the bottom. Last August we bought a certified preowned 2015 Ford Fusion with low miles and all the bells and whistles you could ever want at a great price. Unfortunately this great price has been the only thing that's been great in our dealings with Parrish. Here's a little background on us. My grandmother is the one who purchased the car. Neither of us are experienced car buyers and hope we can trust the salesman and dealership. This hasn't been the case. Here's everything that's gone wrong in eight months: -a couple days after the purchase I noticed there was no oil change sticker on the car and checked the oil life feature. It said there was only 6% oil life. The dealer hasn't changed the oil in the car for way over 10,000 miles. They stated that the car would've been okay, but were so kind that they replaced it for free. -Not to long after as we were driving down the road one of the tires popped completely and we had to get it towed. The back tires had NO tread and once again, after all the commotion they did actually replace them for free, but didn't warn us the other two were in awful condition as well. Not to long after, it cost $500 to replace the other two tires. -One morning we went to go out somewhere and the power steering would not work. When we called the dealer, they had no idea what the problem could be and did little to help. After looking up the power steering in the manual (which has been more helpful then the dealership) and it stated that sometimes the power steering may not work... and that you could try restarting it (which seems like a dumb flaw for a new car to have). -We went in for a regular service (oil change probably) and the technician came out with the bill. They'd built on a $200-$300 addition to "replace the transmission fluid." When we refused to pay because we'd never heard of the service, he became rude and visibly upset. He'd already opened everything up to do the service and had to put it back, and lost out on the pay. We looked the service up in the manual and it stated it was only needed every 150,000 miles. At the time we only had about 40,000 miles. -Once again, the power steering stopped working tonight but this time it was forty five minutes from home and we had to get it towed (by triple A) home. It's sitting in the driveway now wasting space. This is quite a record after owning a 2005 Buick LeSabre for 12 years and having no problems. We won't be dealing with Parrish or Ford again. Update: Not sure what changed, but our last exchange regarding the power steering was much better. We heard they got a new service manager so maybe that's caused the positive shift. They towed the car to the dealer and even brought it back for free (well under the extended warranty). Everything seems to be working fine. Hopefully this is the last of the car trouble. read more

WOW! What a pleasant purchase experience. I found my new 2016 Mustang GT Convertible on the internet and contacted Parrish Ford. I met Kristi Hutson the sales manager over the phone and she offered me a fair purchase price. The vehicle was exactly as described and we took delivery of it last night. I was having trouble with my father's 2007 ford Taurus, It was misfiring and cutting off seconds after I started it. So I took it to Parrish ford since it was convenient to me and there are very few dealers in the Goochland area. After checking it out the technician said the intake air control (IAC)valve was sticking and said the mass air flow sensor was working fine. He proceeded to install the IAC valve and cleaned the mass air flow sensor, test drove it and said I was good to go. I picked it up and on the way home, it missed and felt like it was going to cut off while I was driving it home. as soon as I got home and put it in park, the engine just cut off by itself. I tried to restart it, but it began to do the exact same thing it was doing before I took it up there and paid them over $454.00 to fix. I called them and told them the problem , they asked me to drive it back! I told them they had to come and tow it back as it was about 100 degrees outside and I did not want to get stuck on the side of the road in that heat. They agreed to tow it, but not until the next morning. I had already turned in the loaner so I had to get a neighbor to take my dad to his dialysis appointment that morning. They finally called and said the mass air flow sensor had to be replaced. (the very thing they said was okay). And they had to order the part and it would cost an additional $510.00!!! Had they gone ahead and fixed it in the beginning, I would not have to pay them another labor fee and go without my car for another day or so. My dad was so furious, He told me to tell them to put his car right back in the yard where they found it!!! I am now I the process of finding another mechanic to see what is really going on with the car as we do not trust Parrish Ford any longer. read more

I have purchased several new and used cars from Parrish Ford since about 1990. In every instance they were very honest and direct in these transactions. Their prices are among the lowest in the Richmond area and the ONLY auto dealer I know of that does not tack on that ridiculous "Processing Fee" ---they have never charged me any sort of extra fee, just the sales price.
