We enjoyed a salad with pears in it, and a carpaccio appetizer before our main course. My cousin and I both had the mozzarella and shrimp ravioli, his wife had the truffle fettuccine, and my husband had a ribeye. We all loved our meal well. This is our second time at parole. Our last visit was in 2022 and I gave this place a 5 star for entertainment and ambiance and I said the food was meh. For a second time, this experience was the same and given the entertainment is the main attraction of this place and we have been there before the overall experience was ok. If you haven't been to this establishment in polanco, I recommend trying it once but unfortunately it doesn't deserve a revisit. I had the egg plant appetizer and it was definitely underwhelming. The pear salad looked great and it was ok. We had the fish with potatoes and caper which was great but don't think it was worth $70. The cocktails are awesome. It's fascinating how different parts of the world define "classy." What some may consider tacky or over-the-top, others might see as elegant and extravagant. Parole Polanco is a prime example of this. Within 2 hours of my dinner, I experienced an electric violinist, sparklers, a chef singing opera while preparing cacio e pepe, and a mini conga line. If you're sensitive to noise or easily overwhelmed, this is definitely not be the place to be. But if you're up for a loud, high-energy night, it's worth checking out. As for the food: I had the cacio e pepe with lobster, and felt it was underwhelming. The flavors were bland, and the lobster chewy. Must-try dishes: The sea bass carpaccio was outstanding, and I personally enjoyed the Caesar salad because I loved how strong the anchovies were in the dressing but for others, it may be a turn off. read more

My review is long overdue for my experience of this place back in early January of this year (2025). We book a table of two and were seated promptly after checking in. There were a lot of people waiting before we arrived! Highly recommend you make reservation ahead of time. They have live music on the night that we dined and it was just as fun and chaotic as I read about them! I love love the violinist they had that night! She was so good and so pretty! Food was really good and our server tried his best to be attentive to us but he was so busy helping lots of tables. This place is definitely just like how other Yelpers described.. It's a big place of fun, chaos, loud music, overly happy people mixed with awkward people trying to have fun, busy servers and pretty and great violinists, and their singing chef has a pretty nice soprano vocal! Overall if you want a fun experience in Polanco, book this place and experience it. It is super loud even without the live music.. This reminds me of the big greek wedding. I will say if you are looking for a fun lively night this is the spot to be but be sure you book a reservation. The great part is Fridays and Saturdays it's open til 2am so great late night eats. I booked a late night reservation for one at Porole based on the reviews. While I was able to snag a reservation there was a chaotic group at the entrance. They definitely need to work on the madness at the host area. My biggest gripe was they sat me in the darkest most secluded dingy corner of the place where they took away the second chair my purse was on so they could reach the extra dishes next to my legs haha. They also forgot about me constantly so it took forever to even get water. I also noticed everyone that arrived was greeted with fresh breads at the table to pick on while you waited. But not me I guess I could cut back on the carbs. They finally brought bread after they brought my dinner. Ok I'm done complaining now, the drink was 10/10 perfect ratio of alcohol so it didn't over power all the other ingredients. The food was good but my pasta was really tough I've been to Italy and had al dent pasta but this was just rubbery. The flavors of the carbonara 10/10 but they could work on the pasta. The presentation was great and when they did come to my table the servers were great. I don't recommend this to any solo person because it seems you are not waited on as attentively as larger groups or even groups of 2. If you are looking for a fun place to have dinner and have a good time THIS IS THE PLACE! This place is currently very popular for the experience that it provides you, therefore even though I made reservations I had to wait around an hour. Thankfully during our wait we could go to the bar and they gave us a complimentary drink. The service was great, starting with Daniel in the Bar and Gustavo and Samuel at our table. In addition all the talented people made everything so much more fun, including Catalina who assure our table was having a great night! For an upscale Italian restaurant, they need to step up their game in executing pastas! Appetizers: The Beef carpaccio with Truffle, Wagyu meatball and burrata salad were all very delicious. The complimentary bread with butter and spread was excellent as well! Out of a party of 10, our pastas were on the overcooked side, none al dente. My friend, who ordered the popular Carbonara Fettuccini with Truffle that's mixed in the big block of cheese was a little upset that the pancetta wasn't cooked to a crisp. Another friend who ordered the mussels said they were the saltiest she's ever tasted. Hubby ordered the Tagliatelle with Yellowfin Tuna, and the tuna did not taste or smell that fresh. A friend ordered the Wagyu Papardelle and it was underwhelming. I, however, liked the Cacio e Pepe with Bogavante Lobster. It was rich, flavorful and had generous portions of lobster pieces. After seeing my friends video of this restaurant while in her Mexico vacation i was curious to experience such delight. Parole is a very beautifully aesthetically pleasing establishment. We did not make reservations though i highly encourage it. The Hostess was very courteous and asked if there were any food allergies with our party to which i replied that i am allergic to raspberries. She made note of that. the staff member walked us over to our table that was on the opposite side of the patio area. the restaurant was not at capacity and i can say there was only 3-4 tables being used in the entire establishment. I really wished they would of sat us in the patio area given the unforeseen situation that later developed. We had 4 people tending to our table to all of which were informed that there was a food allergy. our meals were delicious! the authenticity to Italian cuisine is there. they have great chefs. they have live music during their business hours. the violinist is exceptional at what she does. really captivates the guest with her music. During out time there it began to rain. after several minutes we noticed roof water drippings on our table and we notified the staff members. they apologies and place one of their napkin in the spot that was getting dripped on but made no effort to move us or offer a different table. several minutes later we asked for a dessert. we had their lemon cheesecake i believe is what it was called. anyhow, though they assured me that no raspberries had been in contact with the dessert.. raspberries were used as a garnish for the dessert we ordered. Now, as an establishment that has made it point to note that there was a food allergy in the party they should of omitted the use of raspberries as a garnish. It really changed the experience for us all. mainly because they are a fine dining establishment. such attention to detail is a high expectation and part of fine dinning service. now to follow up with the the water roof leak situation.. it went from 1 leak to 3 leaks over our table. staff and management was now notified and they went on saying that they had recently fixed it and that is when they offered to switch us table but by then we had finished our meals and dessert. there really was no point and we simply wanted the check at that time after the discomfort. Food: -Spicy Vodka Rigatoni: It has a nice little kick, not overly spicy but it's named "spicy" for a reason. It was a good portion and had a good flavor. -Wagyu Meatball: It's an appetizer, one big meatball. We shared between four of us. Initially received it and the meat itself was on the colder side. What a fun night we had here ! Amazing atmosphere, great music and a live singer . The bar is where we hung out and they have some some amazing cocktails and desserts. The drinks are pricey, but also very unique. The bartenders put on a sow making them too. The service was a little slack but the place made up for it in other ways. The opera singer was fabulous and sang a lot of classics, and he walks around the restaurant engaging with the crowd. So much fun. There's not really a dance floor but people were dancing where they could find space! Our drinks were some of the best we had in the city. The Sofia Loren , was brilliant ! I'm surprised there are not more reviews for Parole Polanco on Yelp. Not only is this restaurant beautiful, but the staff is friendly and they have an amazing violinist who brings energy to the dining experience. Our party of 8 started with several appetizers, including the ANTIPASTO MISTO (which is basically a charcuterie board), CARPACCIO DI MANZO (beef filet), BURRATA E QUATTRO POMODORI (Italian burrata with tomatoes, basil and pesto) and finally, the CARCIOFO PROVENZALE (which is roasted artichoke with mozzarella). All of the appetizers were presented well, flavorful and enough for all of us to share. They also came out quickly. For my main dish, I got the RISOTTO DI ASTICE E ASPARAGI, which comes with asparagus and TONS of Bogavante (aka European lobster). The risotto was cooked perfectly (not too soft but not too hard) and was full of flavor. If you love lobster, definitely order this dish! What a gorgeous place one of the nicest here in Mexico City I highly recommend. Not only is the Interior beautiful the food and drinks were great as well. It is on the pricey side but well worth it I think. Ordered the following Italian Burrata, Arrabbiata capellini and seafood risotto dishes. We inhaled every dish and drink we ordered. I found Parole while browsing restaurants on Open Table and thought it would suit us for lunch. We came in around 12ish on a Wednesday and decided to sit at one of their outdoor tables. Their indoor area looked beautiful though. When we came, they had a few COVID safety measures as with many places in Mexico City. These included requesting diners to sanitize their hands, and temperature checks. Once seated, we scanned the QR codes for menus and ordered. That day, we didn't order appetizers, which was good, because the main dishes were on the larger side. They also brought out free breadsticks and foccacia, which was delicious. For his main, my husband had the vegetarian lasagna, which he enjoyed a lot. The serving size was enough to satisfy him. My salmon with lavender honey was delicious and also filling. I had not realized at the time of ordering that it was going to be just a fillet of salmon otherwise I would have ordered a side. But both of us ended up being quite full with the bread. Everything about it, the vibe, the ambience, the food, the drinks, the music, the service, all of it was top notch, even better than some of the Michelin starred restaurants I've been to. Fettuccini Alla Carbonara Al Tartufo - Saffron Fettuccini tossed in a Carbonara Sauce with Pancetta then tossed again in a wheel of Grana Padano Cheese then topped with Black Truffles. This place oozes with good vibes. We just happened to walk by and its beautiful ambiance lured us in so decided to make a quick stop for some drinks. We didn't think we'd get in without a reservation but they warmly welcomed us and didn't rush our stay either. The service here is phenomenal. I swear I felt we were treated like royalty. We ended up eating here too and staying much longer than intended. The food and drinks are chef's kiss, and the presentation was pure art. As if things just couldn't get any better, we were surprised with some live entertainment too. The chef who was making some pasta dish on a cheese wheel thing started to sing! I was so captivated and I'm sure he caught me gazing at him with heart eyes. When the violinist started to play the whole place turned into a party. The best thing about this place is the ambiance. The food is not good. The prices are insanely high especially for me coming from California. So the four stars are for a nice place to sit and drink or eat by the park in the lovely area of Polanco. They give free focaccia bread at the start which is delicious. The server said the side sauce for the bread was tomato but it was actually red pepper. The first dish that came out was the seafood tartar. They didn't know what kind of fish it was which was kinda sus. It was just "seafood" but it was one type of fish. It was a white fish. The tartar was actually tasty but had a strong acidic taste. I kind of liked it. The burrata was good and the tomatoes were fresh. Some of the tomatoes were grilled which brought out some sweet flavors. The grilled shrimp were definitely over cooked. It was tough, rubbery and very chewy. The awesome thing about huge shrimp like this is the head butter to suck out which is yummy, with bread, or in its own. These shrimp were so over-cooked that the head butter was cooked out completely dry and there was no longer any left. So sad. The final dish that we ordered was the risotto which was hard in texture. It was not al dente, rather hard rice. The sauce was watery and there were small chunks of cheese that did not melt through, which was probably intended. It looks creamy in the picture but it was watery. At the bottom of the dish was a centipede. That's when we stopped eating. The mussels on top of the risotto were actually very fresh and tasted good but we still didn't finish the dish. Along with all that food we ordered a bottle of still water and one glass of the cheapest wine. The bill came out to over $200 dollars! That's U.S. dollars and not pesos. This place is over priced and the food is bad. But I would still suggest going here ONLY for drinks or dessert and to hang out in the hip environment. read more

This was by far my favorite restaurant that I visited in Mexico City. The restaurant is stunning when you come up to it and appears to be inside of a glass Greenhouse. The dress is a little more formal and you should make reservations. I went on a Sunday. There's a live violinist that plays to modern music and creates a lively and party atmosphere. The wait staff are constantly at your beck and call which can make some people uncomfortable. They do hover. The decor is glamorous and great photo ops. I wasn't a big fan of the cocktail menu but I hear the wine list is extensive. There were some vegetarian options but not many. Overall I would come here every time I visit Mexico city. read more

The singers and musicians were talented, hence the one star, purely for the entertainment. It was fun the first 30 minutes, but got old really fast. We were visiting from the states, so we're unsure if it's normal in CDMX to be seated and wait so long without being served, or to disregard the health of pregnant women. The reviews and photos of this restaurant is what made me make a reservation as we had a large party of 14. This restaurant was also on the list of restaurants from our hotel concierge, however, the reviews and images don't represent how much of a party atmosphere it really is. It was very loud and women who worked there would walk around clapping, a woman playing the violin live, and sparklers / etc. for birthdays. While this may be fun for a group of 21-year old women celebrating their birthday with girl friends, it is not an atmosphere to have a business dinner. I gave 2 stars because while the night was certainly memorable and laughable, a bunch of us were sick the next day with stomach issues. A few of us had ordered the Cacio e Pepe and that is something I typically enjoy and never have issues with, however, what arrived was definitely not Cacio e pepe even though the server called it as such when placing down. It was a reddish sauce and with LOBSTER?! If anyone is allergic to shellfish, that's a major red flag as Cacio e Pepe is supposed to be a simple pasta made with only cheese and pepper. read more
