Chocolate was pretty good, not too sweet. The inside is so cute and fits the aesthetic. Though, the customer service was not very friendly. It felt like the employee doesn't really seem like she wanted to be there. Upon entering, it was quiet and did not feel welcomed. As I finished paying, she immediately rushed to the back of the store and did not seem to care much whether we were there.

We finally made it to Parliament! Ever since I tried their Bolivia bar years ago I've been a huge fan. Their single origin chocolate bars are wonderful. I definitely prefer the dark chocolate varieties. As for the truffles, I tried the Tanzania truffle, brown sugar square, and mint. The brown sugar square was very good, but I think I'd buy Parliament's chocolate bars over their truffles. The shop is very small - not really a space to linger in. Parking is also tricky because it's downtown Redlands. Very good craft chocolate though.

Who can take a sunrise... sprinkle it with dew. Refining chocolate is so mesmerizing. This window front is just pure wonka. Flavors for every tastebud to enjoy the smooth & creamy melt.

I love supporting local & I love artisan chocolate but I've had better than local/artisan than Parliament. It's in a cute, unsuspecting spot & city in GENERAL, but I was not a big fan. I ordered a 4ct for my in-laws & they loved it. However, I had the Peanut Butter Round in the shop and I was a bit grossed out that the bottom of the chocolate was oily from the oil separating from the peanut butter. Also, I love dark chocolate but the combination of the seeping peanut oil and cacao richness produced a gross bitterness. Eep. 334/365

If you are a lover of quaint places, homemade items and chocolate, then THIS IS your place. It was Mother's Day, and this is where I selected to go for my special day (fur babe came too). The husband and I spent a day in the Redlands. College towns hold a place in my hear and I'd like to retire in one also. They are intergenerational and treat the townies as so, there is something for everyone. I am a person who likes to celebrate all things good and that includes holidays and great places, an educated town Durant hurt either! I was first introduced to Parliament Chocolate in the form of a drinking chocolate at Augies Coffee at Vail Ranch in Temecula (the original location is here in the Redlands). In NCSD, Revolution Roasters in Oceanside, California. Uses their chocolate also! I like it, it's bittersweet and more European in style, not overly sweet like most chains... I read up on the history of the owners and the business. Everyone should have a good story. For instance, I asked about the owl theme. They created an owl for each country of origin where they source their cocao beans from; Guatemala, etc... What I love about this first location, small batch chocolate shop is it's quaint size, but don't let the small size fool you because it's filled with big flavor, it's pure chocolate and pure cane sugar. As you walk up to the window you can watch chocolate being churned in a mixing bowl, great for the young kids and big kids alike. We picked up some truffles, caramels and a special Mother's Day Strawberry Bark and all I can say is Yelp, thanks, WOW! You don't have to have a special occasion to stop in, chocolate is for anyone, anytime and if this is not your thing, stop by and try their handmade nitro ice cream at a'la minute. I am a lover of quaint places, homemade items and chocolate, THIS IS my place! PS I hear the owners father was a researcher on laughter. I'd like to read it! What a hoot! #Redlands #MothersDay #Parliment #HandmadeChocolate #Owls

Drinking chocolate, vegan by default ($3). Like drinking a chalky, melted chocolate bar. Not good.

Parliament smells great and has an old-timey vibe. That said, it's tiny and not a place to hang out. I got a small cup of drinking chocolate ($3) which didn't really do it for me. It was basically like drinking a chalky, melted chocolate bar. I did appreciate the Chanthaburi Thai chocolate bar ($7) they had. I'm not sure I'd ever seen chocolate made from Thai cacao before, so this is both a rarity and pretty cool. And it tasted great. Parliament also has a couple rum/vodka-filled chocolate truffles (their only other vegan options), but I didn't like these at all. I think they were $3 each. Parliament Chocolate is cool for Redlands. If you want a similar, but even better experience, check out ChocoVivo in Culver City 75 miles west (okay, long road trip, but it's chocolate!).

I love this chocolate shop. So glad I don't have to drive all the way to Santa Barbara for a delicious morsel of homemade chocolate. The shop is small and rich and chocolate fragrance as all their products are made on site. Awesome customer service. Isais has been very helpful in describing flavor profiles and even went as far as explains the chocolate process from beginning to end for my 9 year old daughter. This guy is a genius. Faves: #1 orange truffle, Mayan (spicy kick at the end), coffee/cappuccino caramel, of course I pretty much end up getting one of each, but these stand out the most. Did I mention the orange? I bit of an inconvenience as they no longer offer the 4 piece truffle box, only 2 piece and 8 piece boxes. Oh well, just means that I have to buy more!

    Complimentary "wrapping"!

I've been coming here a few years now, and would usually pop in and pick up a few chocolates after visiting Augies Coffee (which uses Parliament Chocolate for their lattes!). Now, I'm not usually a truffle chocolate fan, but Parliament has definitely made me a believer. They melt in your mouth and you can really taste the flavors. My favorites are the Spicy Mayan, the Raspberry/Strawberry, and my ultimate favorite chocolate from here are the toffees. So. Dang. Good. And also the peanut butter ones too. Price-wise I think is very fair for everything being hand made in shop. The people here are also very nice and patient when you're deciding on which chocolates to take. They will also wrap up your chocolate box with your ribbon color of choice if needed as well! I thought that was a nice touch, when I had mentioned I was buying them for my mom for her birthday. It's a small shop that's very easy to miss, but it is definitely a Must to stop by and pick out a few chocolates or buy a bar.

I'm not a chocolate expert by any means but I thought it was good quality, but pretty expensive. I would buy this chocolate for someone who is more of a chocolate connoisseur than the average chocolate eater.

I have shopped at this location for years anytime I'm in downtown Redlands and have never bought anything I didn't like. First off, the ambience is great. The café is decorated with cute French-themed touches, and it has a cozy, inviting vibe. The employees were also friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. For food, I ordered a turkey sandwich. It was good overall--more of a torta-style sandwich with flavorful ingredients, served on toasted white bread. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the coffee was a letdown. I ordered the horchata latte, but it tasted like low-quality coffee. I didn't really get any horchata flavor--more like a watered-down vanilla/cinnamon latte. For dessert, I tried the key lime tart. It wasn't very sweet, and the crust was extremely dry. Considering it was almost $10 for a fairly small tart, it didn't feel worth the price. Speaking of price, the overall cost felt overpriced for what you get. I paid around $30 for a sandwich, coffee, and tart, which felt steep given the quality of the items I tried. Service timing was another issue. A group came in after me, and my order wasn't started until after they took everyone else's order. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I was in a bit of a hurry, and it ended up holding me up longer than expected. That said, it does seem like crepes are their main specialty, and judging by other reviews, those might be worth trying. If you're going specifically for crepes, it may still be worth a visit. However, based on my experience with the sandwich, coffee, and dessert, I personally wouldn't return. I genuinely wish them the best as a small business--it just wasn't for me.

Of late, we have moved more to sugar free chocolates than sugary treats, now including Sugar Free Chocolate and Butterscotch Lollypops as stocking stuffers. But we still give each other a sugary See's Chocolate Santa on Christmas Day, as well. No sugar free version of St. Nick is created, but a few changes to Santa's appearance are made year to year. For example, the 2025 Chocolate Santa wears glasses and looks older than the 2016 model. (See pics that follow.) Store personnel were friendly and helpful. But after receiving no free sample for the first time ever, I asked why no chocolate sample was offered to me as I paid for our purchases, and a staff member apologized, saying that she was responsible for not yet refilling available samples for customers, and immediately scrambled to do so, offering me my choice of chocolate treats. I opted for a piece of a Sugar Free Milk Chocolate Bar, and, biting down on it, observed that its velvety texture yielded a rich and sweet chocolate flavor with no hint that this product was sugar free. This store was pretty well packed with inventory and patrons, but it was already out of Sugar Free Peanut Brittle, which I would have liked to have purchased for ourselves. Perhaps I will return later to see if any restocking occurred. As a word to the wise: It is better to come here sooner in December rather than later. Close to Christmas this small store is filled with customers in weaving lines, and supplies of even the least desired items often run out. See's fine products are worth waiting for, and recipients will appreciate receiving them. But why not avoid extra aggravation by beating the Christmas rush?
