And the labneh had great flavor and paired well with the mushrooms. The sourdough was also perfection. I know it looks a little burnt but I honestly didn't taste that at all and the texture was perfect. I was worried it'd be hard and scrape the roof of my mouth but the sourdough was still a fluffy/chewy texture. Paired with the garlic, cheese and lemon was great. The lemon added a nice acidity to the dish that it needed. The salt baked potatoes were also pretty good but was overshadowed by everything else I had. But you can never go wrong with a side of crispy potatoes. Flavor was perfect and paired well with the aioli. Ended the meal with their hazelnut ice cream made in house. It was topped with some flaky sea salt and it added the perfect saltiness it needed. This ice cream was so thick and creamy and so glad it was recommended to us! Tucked down a cute little alleyway, it has that "hidden gem only the in‑the‑know find" kind of vibe. Outdoor seating was lovely, and inside the décor was warm and inviting. Service throughout the evening was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful in guiding our selections. We started with the marinated olives, a lovely mix that set the tone for the meal. Next up was Liyam's falafel with green goddess. At first glance, the falafel looked quite dark and we wondered if they might be overdone, but one bite proved otherwise. They were cooked absolutely perfectly--bright, verdant, and full of flavor. The green goddess dip was such an unexpected pairing, but it worked so well that we're not sure why no one has done this before. We'll be trying this at home. YUM. The salt baked potatoes with preserved lemon aioli, crushed tomato, and green chili were another hit. The preparation was beautiful, and the flavors--especially the green chiles and the lovely aioli--were outstanding. If we had one quibble, it's that we would have loved just a bit more of those sauces because they were delectable. We were raving about this dish. We then enjoyed the summer fattoush with stone fruit, tomato, fried pita, and sumac. Wonderfully prepared, very bright flavors, and a lovely balance of textures. Our server mentioned it was shareable, but in the future we'd order two--it's that good, but not quite a true shareable portion. The crispy mushrooms with sudjuk spice, labneh, and herby chermoula were the sleeper hit of the night. Perfectly fried, incredible mushroom choice, fantastic breading, and a sauce we couldn't stop dipping into. WOW. So good. This is another dish we'll order two of next time. For dessert, we tried "the very best ice cream by the scoop" -- mint chocolate chip, which was the perfect ending and just enough. We also had the coconut malabi with stone fruit and pistachio crumb. We weren't sure what to make of it at first--the texture looked a bit unusual--but once we dove in, it was another delightful surprise. Unique, flavorful, and absolutely something we'd order again. In all, our meal at Bevy was fantastic. The flavors throughout the night were bright, punchy, and deeply satisfying.
