When I showed up to get my food with my son and his friend it took 5 minutes for anyone behind the counter to acknowledge out existence. When we did get our pizza it was dry, not enough cheese or sauce. The 2 kinds of wings we got were dry, not enough sauce. I just moved to Spencer. Parkview is literally three minutes away from my new place (on foot!). The pizza is superlative, and I have it on good authority that their garlic knots are awesome. Slowly working my way down the menu... would eat here more often than I do if I could, but I've gained enough weight from the pandemic as it is. One of the criteria that (for me) separates fantastic pizza from decent pizza is the freshness of the non-meat ingredients. Love their spinach, the tomatoes are above-average considering they're out of season, and the fresh mozzarella (or possibly ricotta?) they added to the white garden garlic pizza is just phenomenal! The kicker for me is, Parkview doesn't HAVE TO make great pizza. They don't have any competition within a 20 minute drive, so they have a fairly large captive audience. They could be mediocre if they wanted to and still make money... yet, they serve up a truly great pizza. Customer for life! Or until I move out of Spencer, at least :) read more

My first visit to Parkview Pizzeria in Spencer, N.Y. last week. I tried the cheese pizza (delicious) and was at a reunion the night before where Parkview catered the event. The Lasagna is wonderful and I still have to try the rest of the items on the menu. Great addition to Spencer, N.Y....you can eat in, take out, etc. Great place for a date! read more

Amazing food! I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never once been disappointed. The staff are the friendliest people ever no matter how busy they are. Salad was mediocre asked for two dressings and was charged $2 for a small sample plastic cup of dressing wish they would've disclosed the additional fee. Pizza lacked cheese for a cheese pizza not real flavorful however The place did look clean so that was a plus. read more

We had a BAD experience last weekend. I ordered 3 dozen wings and 3 orders of onion rings to the tune of $52. I asked when I should pick up and he said half an hour. When I got there, 3 other people were waiting. A half hour later, I'm still waiting and another dozen people showed up, some of who were able to get their order. The wait was one thing, but when I got home (we live 5 min. away), the wings and onion rings were cold and the onion rings were overcooked. The rings and the wings must have been ready when I got there but they were working on other orders so never got to it for 30 minutes. I stopped over and spoke to the owners wife. She said he was out of town and took my name and number. No phone call. I will never go there again. read more

I have ate a lot of NYC style pizza in my life (55 yo). Stopped in to Parkview today for a couple slices. Crust was spot on, nice and crispy, nice dark brown on bottom with a bit of black. Sauce and cheese were just right as to be totally foldable without being messy. Ate it while i drove, no drips! Delicious and crispy!! Def recommend, worth the trip! I love this little family owned pizza place! I come from Corning to see people in Spencer. Whenever I stop in a am so overjoyed every time! I usually get the BBQ pizza which is DELICIOUS! I will say it is so much better reheated in their oven rather than buying one and eating it but even when you just order a whole one it is still so good! Would recommend 100%! read more

Rolling through the tiny burg of Spencer last Sunday on my way home. I noticed that the former Todi's pizza place had reopened. Nicely redecorated interior with very inviting menus above the counter. I ordered a small sauage and mushroom pizza to go. Nice thin crust, tasty sauce, the right amount of cheese, and FRESH Mushrooms! I definitely will stop there again next time I'm in the area. I waited for 10 minutes before I was asked to order. After I ordered I was told 30 minutes. I came back 30 minutes later and order was still not ready. The owner apologize and offered 2free sodas. The machine was out of ice. I ordered the chicken speedie sub. It was ok. I also ordered the eggplant sub. It tasted like freezer burn. The salad was all iceberg lettuce . It had tomatoes and cucumbers. I was not impressed. I will never go back! read more

Worst customer service I've ever seen! I've worked at pizzerias all my life. This customer service standard here does not exist. Normally they're good I never had a problem till last might. I ordered my food, they told me 45 minutes. I get there the manager tells me my foods almost out just a couple more minutes. 45 min goes by! Not 2 or 3 minutes, and I'm waiting watching them give everyone who comes their food till place clears out. A few minutes turned into 45 then the manager called me up and hands me wings that were sitting on the counter the entire time I waited, and a pizza box off the oven which also sat there the entire 45 minutes. No offer of making me new food, no offer of discount or making my order free. All of which any pizza place I've worked at would have happily accommodated. He actually had the nerve to argue with my girlfriend that our food was hot and fresh! Are you kidding me?! I sat there I watched you! You never pay full price for a late pizza! The customer is always right, something this place needs to learn or they need to go. We demanded a refund, gave them their cold food and ordered from Rossi's in Owego, The same order was ready from Rossi's in only 20 min! Never go to park view!! read more

The couple that own this establishment are small local business owners. We have supported this establishment since they opened their doors because we support small local businesses. There have been times that our order has been messed up & brought to our attention, by the male 1/2, before we paid & walked out the door. My best friend & I ordered our favorite dishes & we received something different. I requested a refund and debated with by the female 1/2, then she hung up on me. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or was upset because I had a legit complaint that she had not picked up on. We have supported this establishment by our personal patronage, by advertising by word of mouth, & by purchasing gift certificates for volunteers in our community to show our appreciation for their hard work & dedication. Please be aware of my experience so you don't experience the same. We now provide business to another establishment when we have our pizza parties. It's bad customer service to hang up on an unsatisfied customer instead of make things right, especially when they have a legitimate complaint. read more

I've been going to Parkview since it opened. The restaurant is small, but well decorated and well lighted. There is sufficient parking all around (small town - between the Fire Station and the Grocery Store) and on-street. They have expanded their menu over the last couple of years, and the colorful menus are directly above the service counter. The last few times I've been in (all in 2016) the surfaces are clean and staff take care to keep them that way. Speaking of the staff, I've never had a bad experience there since it opened. Staff have always been dressed appropriately and invariably cheerful. The only times they haven't been "cheery" as such, is when the place is packed, the phone is ringing off the hook and they're busy - then (just like any other small business) they knuckle down and get the job done. They've never been disrespectful to me (or that I've heard) just "busy". All in all, for a small town pizza place, it's quite good and worth stopping in for lunch or dinner. read more

Our family has been to the Parkview Pizzeria several time throughout the past few years and feel each time our experience get worse. We feel that food is decent, but staff and pricing are both extremely bad. When they first opened pricing was high and the prices have only gone up. The staff are rude and very unpresentable. the owner seem very smug and made us always feel unwelcome. The pizza is by far the best menu item as it should be but like the prices have increased over the years the amount of topping have dramatically decreased. We drive to neighboring towns and city several more miles away to get our pizza now. I would have given the Parkview ZERO stars if the option was available. We do not recommend that you waste you money at the Parkview Pizzeria. read more

I just HAD to write a review of Parkview after reading "Mags N's." I, like most people from Spencer and the surrounding communities, have been coming to Parkview since it opened. It is a FANTASTIC restaurant, with over-the-top awesome pizza, wings, subs, salads, ice cream, grilled & fried foods. During the summer, they set up the smokers and offer amazing grilled chicken, pulled pork, and/or ribs with an array of side dishes. We used to drive 40 minutes for food that was never this good! It is a restaurant owned by a young, local couple. One, or both of them, is there every day. The "female 1/2" is one of those rare gems who greets customers by name, knows their favorites before the order, will find the extra seat for a table, will chase you down if you leave your coat, or will track you down if you leave your wallet. I personally have witnessed her do each of those things, on more than one occasion. I could not believe "Mags N"'s complaint was about her treatment by this woman! It is obvious to me that "Mags N." is one of those people who has become accustomed to complaining in an attempt to get free food. Clearly, it has worked for her in the past (hence her reference to the "male 1/2"'s treatment of her), and she is sooooo mad that it did not work for her now. I would love to get the owner's side of the story. Nevertheless, it is a pity that her spiteful "review" of the restaurant carries any weight at all on yelp. A review should be about the quality of food, the cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant, and the attitude of the staff. Stop by Parkview the next time you are cruising through Spencer, and you will not be disappointed. Once you have had a terrific meal, unmatched in the area, take a second to mention it here, too! I just hate to see someone with ulterior motives try to undermine hardworking folks running a great establishment in their own community. read more

The pizza is good (nice crust and good overall flavor) but they overcharge for toppings IMO. I ordered a sheet pizza; 1/2 cheese, 1/4 chicken + bacon, 1/4 pepperoni + ham. Plus 1 dozen wings. Total came out to $42 and change. When I asked for them to explain the charges they said that wings at $9.99 and sheet pizza w/cheese is $21.99. Chicken and Bacon are regularly $2.50 half sheet each + others are $1.25 half sheet each. Even though I only requested chicken + bacon on a quarter and ham and pep on a quarter, I was charged like all (4) items were on half the pizza. I asked for a manager to follow up with me because I think I was overcharged. I did pay for the order and take the meal home- it was good pizza. They returned my call later that evening and explained that the charge per topping is also the labor involved. They don't break down prices to quarters. They feel that they applied 4 topping on half the pizza. I don't agree with it and ultimately I feel they overcharge for toppings. So this is my experience and the reason I gave 3 stars. The pizza is good- however so is Marios Pizza in Owego. Which is the same distance to drive for me. For $42, we get a similar pizza with one additional topping and a second dozen wings for the same price. So that's the direction we will go. read more

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced! I usually go here at least twice a month but not anymore! Was given cold pizza and wings and expected to pay full price, when my pizza was sitting on top of the stove the entire time I was waiting inside for 45+ mins!, while I'm sitting there waiting an watching everyone else come and go with their food. Was given unbelievable attitude from the owner himself when asked for any sort of discount for waiting 90 minutes for my food that was cold, and sitting on the counter the entire time!, no apology what so ever, then the owner started harassing me about how I probably complain all the time and was arguing that the pizza was hot when it was clearly colder then cold just like the wings were. Gave the cold food back and Got a full refund.They have defiantly 100% lost all of my business. I have never seen such disrespectful, non caring, rude, customer service in my entire life and it's sad that its all from the owner! This was not the first time he had given me attitude and acted super unprofessional but it is defiantly the last for me! I'd recommend going anywhere else then this place! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Wait was literally 55 minutes for a pizza. Grant it, we were a walk in on a Friday night, however watched as the woman behind the counter cooked and boxed other food for carryout while paying customers waited. Then, since there were no slices upon our arrival, they made a pizza and put it in the counter glass rather than serve it. We were not the only family waiting. We ordered the "extra large" pizza. Only thing was it was the "large" with the crust just stretched paper thin. Would like to give the local guy the money but will never go back. This was not the first experience with them and all have been the same, horrible wait time for Eh service and food. read more

Not a pretentious place. Just offers very good food and excellent, friendly service. And let me not forget that the prices are reasonable. We had a stromboli, which was huge and delicious and their ziti with 3 meats. They also serve Ithaca's renowned Purity ice cream. Although "just" a pizza place, probably has the best food in Spencer. We also ate at 2 other places in Spencer, and the food was mediocre, at best. And that's being charitable. read more

Just ordered from this place and gave me BLACK onion rings. The manager is cocky saying he can't cook everything. Very disgusted with food and service! I will NEVER order from here again and would NOT recommend this place to a dog! What horrible service and cannot believe he treats customers this way after ordering $40.00 worth of food. Only gave 1 star because they won't accept no stars. Sad to know the manager is more worried about leaving work than making it right with a customer.
