I'm from the West Coast, and planned an incredible weekend with my beautiful girl. I just needed…read morethe perfect floral arrangement to capture my romantic vibe. I wanted to impress her with my efforts. I absolutely needed the perfect floral arrangement for this important evening. I'm also very detailed in my research. I know that Monsoon Flowers was the absolute best florist in the entire Tri-state area! Two weeks prior to my arrival, I spoke to Michael who completely understood the assignment! He was so helpful and professional. Michael even sent me photos during the process to insure my approval. On Valentine's Day, Monsoon offered to actually deliver the arrangement as opposed to the pre planned pick up. I swear, when she delivered the roses, I was blown away! Quite literally one of the best arrangements I have ever seen! I brought this impressive arrangement to my dinner reservation and they surprised her, by placing them on the table. At least, a dozen people stopped by our table, to compliment us on the most beautiful arrangement they have ever seen! I am so eternally grateful to Michael and Monsoon Flowers for delivering on their promise!

First off, high quality gorgeous elegant flowers delivered to where I need them on 'the fly' and…read moresometimes that is last minute. For someone in my line of work who has clients that need to go in a hours notice I have depended on Monsoon Flowers 'delivering' gorgeous florals to private aviation terminals more than I should. BUT they always do and I am so, so grateful! The florals are always gorgeous, non over the top with scent, which I can NOT have and I know they will be perfect... NOT always the case when you order flowers at the last minute for a pop up private flight and need what you need in terms of florals. I never have to 'prep' them myself.. another thing I often have to do on other orders.. trust me! Monsoon is always dependable and I can always get an invoice within 24 hours to my email for my expense reporting, as well! Thank you for saving me so many times, Monsoon! Your gorgeous buds always hold up too!

The gorgeous flower arrangement arrived in time to celebrate her before the big event. I couldn't be happier and I thank Heights Flower Shoppe for making us feel like we were there!!! Businesses are people as are we and rarely are we ever entirely bad or entirely good. I've found as I've aged, I've become more highly sensitized to how I'm treated and how legitimately good the service has been. But rather than post negative reviews about a bad experience, I'll choose henceforth to limit my radiant appraisals to those truly deserving enterprises out there. After all, we who check Yelp looking for which business to patronize seek those out - they who've risen to the top or at least are striving to do so. So that Admin celebration day I'd searched from Lodi to Hackensack and one wretched faux flower shop to the next seemed to cast a pall of doom over my benevolent mission. Then from those depths, I reached the Heights. As I got approached the entrance, I said out loud to no one "here's a flower shoppe!" You must bear in mind the last I'd come from tried asking me flowers, despite the fact she had no flowers. She asked me to "visualize"... It if anything, flowers are life - the here and now beauty of what shall be lost to time. They not so much celebrate as reaffirm: it's a wonderful world. Europeans daily festoon their homes with bulbs and blossoms. The entire entrance is e tracing as flowers seem to explode all around the little iron bench and front door frame. As you enter, you realize this is an old building preserved as a business but without having lost the intimate feel of its prior abode. The owner is gregarious md exacting and with a team of perhaps five assistants. A few regular locals stopped by. The two arrangements for two wondrous hard working assistants who've made my life far better for their hard work were to be red and white. As I waited, I wandered about seeing all manner of curious curios and humorous nicknacks. I asked if upstairs was a part of the shoppe. Why yes it was I was assured but first I should call out "Beth someone coming!" Up the creaky old stairs I climbed and lost my bravery when I saw shoes and personal effects outside the third floor door. No i was informed - that is a private apartment but not the second floor. So here's what you need to know. For arrangements I paid $50 a piece for, I was given well arranged, tastefully displayed and brilliant bursts of color and life. Proud I was indeed to see the real reviews from smiling woman after woman (men typically aren't aesthetes, sadly) in the huge office building I was in. All could see a thing of natural but for what it was: a reminder of what this world is. What's it's always been. What it'll continue to be: a garden for growth and appreciation. Go to the Heights!

I got the Matcha Bloom Latte which was so soothing on a cold day, the floral taste from the rose and lavender came through in every sip, and the vanilla gave it an added sweetness that pairs well with the earthy matcha. They have plenty of plants, succulents, and flower bouquets to choose from. PlantShed has a few locations in NYC but this is the first one in NJ. Glad I got to check it out!

Plants + coffee + pastries = BLISS…read more PlantShed With Englewood Florist is a lush oasis located on Palisades Ave. It operates as both a cafe and retail shop. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice that every corner of this business is surrounded by beautiful greenery and vibrant flowers. The cafe takes up most of the space at the front of the store. It has a charming aesthetic with marble top tables, black woven chairs, tin tile ceilings, and natural lighting. Indoor seating is limited. There's a few tables for 1-2 people and one communal table. They have free wifi and outlets, so you're able to study or work here. They also have additional seating with wooden picnic tables and umbrellas in their outdoor garden. The menu offers drip coffee, espresso beverages, matcha, tea, and more. They have pastries, snacks, and readily prepared cold foods like sandwiches and salads. I've tried... *Iced Matcha Latte $7 - Disappointed. The drink was very milky and the matcha flavor was so subtle. Did not taste earthy or authentic at all. It tasted like one of those cheap, pre-sweetened powders (even though the barista said they have it unsweetened). *Cold Brew ~$6 - Smooth, not too bitter, and naturally sweet with a splash of milk and sugar! *Freddo Cappuccino $6.50 - If you love a bold and rich espresso flavor... this is for you! It's a Greek-style drink with two shots of espresso, shaken with ice, and then topped off with a layer of frothy milk. The end result is a sweet, creamy, and strong cappuccino. *Cronuts ~$5 - If you're looking to indulge, these are a MUST TRY!!! I tried the apple cinnamon, nutella, and raspberry flavors and they were the perfect decadent treats. The texture is to die for - layers of fried, flaky croissant dough in the shape of a donut. It has a crispy, sugary exterior and a soft, airy interior with sweet fillings. The good stuff doesn't stop there. Towards the back of the store you'll find all of their products - plants, flowers, pots, candles, stationery, room sprays, diffusers, soaps, soil mix, etc. There's a large and unique selection of greenery - orchids, succulents, indoor foliage plants, hanging plants, bouquets, and over 16 types of flowers. The staff (both the baristas and florists) are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The florists are experienced and can help you craft a floral arrangement for a special occasion or look for a specific type of plant for your home. They even offer same day delivery. The plants and flowers are gorgeous, healthy, fresh, and vibrant. I could spend hours here! Whether you're looking to purchase flowers, plants, a strong cup of coffee, or all of the above.... PlantShed has it all!
