Delicious hole in the wall deli in Petoskey! We were able to park right in front of the deli. There was one man working inside and he was friendly and inviting. After ordering, we waited about 10 minutes for our sandwiches. I ordered the #7, which included turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato, white cheddar, basil, aioli, and wheat bread. I ordered it warm, which was perfect, especially on a cold day! I loved the combination of flavors. The basil and aioli provided a unique flavor. The sandwich was very big, and I certainly could have split it! I would certainly order this again. We ate inside. They have a few bar stools against a window counter. Just meh. The menu is a sliver of what it used to be. My husband ordered online and my sandwich was missing the bacon. While my hubs, his cousins and I were wandering around downtown Petoskey and soaking up the warm weather, we decided to grab some lunch at PD. It's located nestled between a few businesses and a park behind the deli. The store itself is pretty small, but they do offer seating that faces the window, so you can people watch while you chomp on your sandie. I actually felt really claustrophobic and nauseous, so I immediately went outside and sat at the small tables (enough for two) thats in front of the deli. Since I wasn't feeling well, I missed out on the ordering process, but do remember the staff being very welcoming and patient. Before I stepped out, I did get a chance to quickly browse the menu and had my hubs order me an egg salad sandwich. I was shocked when the sandie came out because it was just big in height and definitely did not skimp on any ingredients. The egg salad sandie came with lettuce, tomato, BACON and a side of pickle. And the bread was perfect! I'm not sure which bread came with the sandie, but it was two thick fluffy white bread that soaked some of the egg salad mixture. The sandie had a little too much mayo for my liking, but I would definitely get this again. This is a perfect deli to dine in or out at, during the warmer months! read more

Please ignore the snooty Petoskey locals who have left biased comments here and run, don't walk, to Parkside deli. The sandwiches are great. My very picky group of six eaters were all really happy with their food. The sandwiches a good size and are fairly priced. The girl behind the counter counter could not have been nicer. Even on a busy Saturday afternoon they got all of our orders correct and made very quickly. Wish we would have come earlier in the week. read more

Bummed for all the rave reviews and to be so disappointed. Maybe it's the roast beef to get? We ladies thought the avocado egg salad sounded good and the current economic situation we understand the short staff and waiting. Unfortunately the woman taking orders didn't want any questions from my friend who was kind and gracious but asking about alternative sugar for iced tea sure was a problem. The bowl and Sandwich lacked any flavor. The sundried tomato pesto helped a lot and we asked for salt and pepper but first asked and got turned down. Then they didn't have salt & pepper packets. We didn't mind waiting or paying for a gourmet sandwiches price, but it was unfortunately not good service on taking the order and having to insist a second time to ask for something to help give the food flavor some kind of kick to the food by going again to ask for salt, pepper and the sun dried tomato pesto. They tossed salt & pepper together which was handy but my anti pepper mom didn't appreciate the two tossed together. Do Please let me know if something on the menu is the thing to get because we sure don't have any plans to return. read more

The staffs was very friendly, the sandwiches was fantastic and big to share with other. We had turkeys and roasted beef and grilled cheese sandwiches with a soup of the day ( herb tomato bisque ) it was great lunch stop. Parkside Deli is an amazing sandwich spot in Petoskey. If you're looking for a good, no-frills sandwich, this is your place. The bread is homemade and fresh, and you can order from a list of sandwich recipes or build your own (a great option for picky eaters like me, especially in Petoskey). Stopped in for a quick, cheap lunch last month. I ordered the BLT, my husband got the Rueben, friend got the grilled sandwich with turkey and bacon (don't remember the official name). I had low expectations but liked that it was under $9 for a sandwich, chips and a drink. Filling out a order sheet then turning it in and paying at the register cut down on wait times considerably which was appreciated, especially because it's pretty cramped in there. When the sandwich came out I was impressed at it's 4 inch height and my first bite was awesome. Thick cut bacon, the pesto mayo was awesome, fresh lettuce and tomato and the bread was fluffy and thick. My sandwich was seriously up there in the sandwich world. Husband and friend loved theirs too. I will be seeking this place out every visit to Petoskey from now on, a surprising little hole in the wall! read more

what a delight. stumbled into here looking for lunch passing thru Petosky. Where can you find sandwiches made from home made bread and hand sliced? Absolutely delicious. to make the afternoon even better, the day was beautiful and could eat in the beautiful park right outside the door. we stopped in for lunch while visiting family in Petoskey. it was very busy, but after we ordered we were able to wait for our food in the park right outside. my kids love that you can get calypso lemonade. the sandwiches were delicious. thick slices of soft bread, very generous serving of meat, and yummy deli sauce. the prices are great for the size of the sandwich you get. will definitely be back when in the area!!! read more
