The back yard, which had a row of high bushes in the middle of it, looked twice as big when Evan was through. The front yard was confused and confusing. When Evan was done, it was simple but elegant. Evan listened to what we said we wanted and made great suggestions along the way, meeting with us several times before he began his work. He helped us get the irrigation system in shape and planted so that everything was easily watered. Last but not least, Evan stayed within our budget limitations. They did a decent job with my patio. It looks great overall, but ran into a couple of issues along…read morethe way. They eventually took care of those issues without additional cost, but only after attempting to charge me extra which I declined. (Materials didn't work for the wall and they had to dig more than expected due to grade). That's not the customers fault! They finished around the patio with soil beds per my request, but did not dig the grass out before hand. I assume a professional landscaper would know better, so they either aren't very knowledgeable or they did it intentionally. Months later I am battling Bermuda grass daily, and I am going to have to dig it all out myself and redo the topsoil and mulch beds. I tried reaching out because it wasn't done correctly, but I was given a bs excuse and they would not admit their fault. *Edit to the owners reply* - There is not 6 inches of screens below the dirt, only the areas closest to the patio. You can come look for yourself if you don't believe me. While you are here, look at my other beds that I've had for two years and tell me how much Bermuda grass is growing in there. If you are correct I will delete my review and move on. Also, I have been maintaining it more than weekly to try to stay on top of it. I know how to maintain a yard. I left for vacation for two weeks and this is what I returned to, which is why the review was left just now. You are correct that I should have contacted you sooner, but I also expected with the shoddy work, and the 1 year warranty, Grounds Guys would uphold their end.

I moved into my house 2 years ago, and some previous owners were an older couple who loved to garden. There were huge flower beds all over the yard with lots of things in there. Before they sold, however, these beds were unattended and started to go crazy with growth and weeds, as did the grass around it. With a new baby on the way for me, there was no way I could manage keeping up everything, and I wanted it handled right, so I called Josh and had him come out to take a look. Josh talked over my goals for a whole-yard revamp and combined my asks with his extensive experience to come up with a plan on how to remove the beds, re-grade some of the yard, and install extra drainage to make everything look good. Although 2020 and 2021 were not the best times for materials (in many industries, including landscaping) which delayed the project a while, Josh kept us up to date with his progress until his team was ready to install. The install went smoothly over the course of a few days, and Josh was there to help with guidance on watering to keep everything growing correctly. He stopped by every few days to check on things (although he didn't need to) and help me adjust watering times and sprinkler placement. Even now, weeks after the installation, he's still super responsive to my questions and has helped me keep everything looking good through the summer. If you want a landscaping project done right with a company that cares about long-term success for your yard, Dreamscapes is the way to go. I really can't recommend them enough.

I have drainage issues and needed the entire area cleared of brush. Dave drew up both drainage and a landscaping plan for me in an AutoCad program. He was extremely easy to work with and picked lots of plant species that are easy to find locally in NC. That doesn't seem like a big deal for easy to find plants until you have to begin sourcing the plants. I worked with another company to do the actual landscape work and we are doing the plantings ourselves. Since then Dave has been a tremendous resource. He has helped me find my favorite plant nursery, a civil engineer, suggested alternative plants, and come back out to discuss additional tweaks to my yard. He is highly responsive, professional, prompt & affordable. I highly recommend Accent Design if you are looking for landscape plans & need a landscape architect to help you out.
