Lester surveyed Monday afternoon, and scheduled removal of 11 trees (8 of which were more than 100 feet tall) for the next day. Lester was a pleasure to work with. He's very seasoned, explain the process, and provided a quote on the spot. I booked the service for the very next day. The crew of ~six arrived on time, with multiple vehicles and equipment, and the job took about 8 hours. When they left, you couldn't tell (except for the missing trees), that anything had been done. I think my yard and street were cleaner than when they arrived. When moving debris in my side yard, they also cleared trees that had previously fallen. As promised, they came back the next day and ground the stumps in my front yard. They have the expertise, the personnel and the equipment to do any job. Alan and Mike were very pleasant, answered my frequent questions, and it was a pleasure watching the process and meeting them. Their pricing was very reasonable. I discussed the issues on my 1.2-acre property with Bryan, our service manager, and chose Bartlett because of their perceived expertise. I expected that, when they came to my property, they would identify and address not only the problems I had already noticed but also any other issues that might not have been immediately apparent. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. The technician needed me to point out the trees I had already specified to Bryan, and even then, they failed to identify or treat other clear issues on my property. If I hadn't been present on the day of the treatment, none of the problems would have been addressed, as Bryan had not effectively communicated even the most obvious concerns to the technician. Following this disappointing experience, I hoped they would return to treat the remaining issues, such as my sick magnolia trees. However, instead of offering to "make things right," they ignored my concerns, and the problems were never resolved. Despite my repeated follow-ups with Bryan over the following months, my requests to address these issues were consistently brushed off. Now, I have received the full invoice for the work, even though I tried to get them to reduce the charges due to the poor service. Their response, as before, was silence--they continued to send the full invoice without addressing my complaints. I cannot recommend Bartlett for pest control services. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Later on, I noticed that by mistake they took an orange cone that I keep in my parking spot so that my car doesn't hit the sewer grating. Great job from first call to schedule them until job finished in timely manner. Derwin Young came out day after I called to analyze situation and provided estimate that day. I approved his quote and they came out next day and did a fantastic job. The tree was a tall (maybe 80 feet) pine tree that was deceased. High winds snapped the tree about 50 feet up from the ground and the top leaned 45 degrees over against neighbors tree. Both trees at property line. The top was hovering 50+ feet up parallel to the neighbors fence. Not a simple job to get the tree down without damaging the fence, neighbors yard, neighbor's tree. They managed to get that tree safely down without harming anything. There were a number of work men on site and there was constant communications between all of them in a foreign language that I don't understand; but, they spoke good English when addressing me. Crew was very polite, well kept, friendly and left my yard and neighbor's yard as clean as they were before they got the tree out. Lived here 35 years and have seen many different tree companies come and go and not one could match Derwin Young's company performance. They are very professional and do a great job. Mr. Young arrived with a team of five workers when he said they would. They took down three threes in the front yard, ground up three stumps, and used rakes and blowers to clean up small branches, leaves and saw dust in just an hour. They even cut down some low hanging branches on other trees and ran through his chipper a couple of nearby piles of dead branches that I had been accumulating -- at no extra charge, without me even asking. Then they moved into the back yard where a giant tree on my property had fallen onto my neighbor's property taking three smaller trees with it. They cleaned all that up in about two hours, including grinding the stumps, although access was more difficult. My neighbor texted me that he was pleased with the job they did, and asked for Mr. Young's contact information for future reference. Best of all, all his workers wear helmets and coveralls that make them look like those sailors on the flight deck of US aircraft carriers. COOL! read more

This time, I recommended them to my neighbors so that we could both get our tree removal services taken care of at the same time. My neighbor who was new to the company was blown away - and I was relieved that everything worked out so well! Youngs Tree Tech are great!!! They removed 10 tall pine trees that I have worried about for years. Derwin and his team work excellent together. He came out and gave me an estimate which was very reasonable so we scheduled for following week. They were there promptly on the scheduled day. Everything was completed in only about 3 hours. We've used these people twice and are about to use them for a third time. They are excellent. They return calls on time and show up when they say they will and do excellent work...they really know what they're doing as opposed to some other services we've used. They charge competitive prices and are straight shooters. They also clean up after themselves. I've referred them to three neighbors who have all been extremely satisfied with the service. We live on a heavily wooded lot so its important to us to have a reliable service. After 25 years here these are the best we have come across. read more

I had a large oak that was starting to lean. The morning after Young's gave me an estimate, the tree fell. They were very quick to get me scheduled (if it was not storming with lightning, they'd have been out the next day). They said they'd come at around 11 AM Monday morning and they were there early and already working by 11. They took out 3 large oaks all very close to my house. Everything went smooth and fast. We have previously worked with Leaf & Limb which should have past documentation about how we are conservative in cutting our dogwood. But now, our dogwood has been irreparably changed in shape. They sold me their proprietary soil enrichment to be delivered quarterly, after assurances that the tree had a 70-80% chance of being saved. After the first treatment I noticed downed limbs, more issues and damage to my lawn. I contacted the arborist helping me, but he never responded. Then, they came out to do the second treatment unscheduled. I contacted them again to request further assistance because of the issues I was having but they continuous failed to respond. Then a storm came through the area and several branches came down, damaging mine and my neighbor's houses. I contacted their agent and he told me the tree was dead and that he was canceling the rest of the contract--no apology or accountability at all. He didn't even speak with me directly or return my follow up calls. I was forced to have the tree removed on an emergency basis and resod my lawn, costing me thousands of dollars. I spoke with at least six other tree companies to get quotes for the tree removal (leaf and limb of course failing to help) and they all told me the tree was long dead and it was fortunate that it hadn't fallen completely on my home or hurt someone. In their opinion it was negligent and potentially fraudulent to sell me on a chance it could be saved. Leaf and limb then sent me a bill for the two prior services and about a third. I told them that I wouldn't pay for the services that had put me in this position and reminded them they had canceled the contract without speaking with me. All of a sudden they were responsive, and they sued me for ~$200 for the two services. I offered to pay half as a goodwill gesture but they refused. In court, they leaned on the fine print disclaimer that they can't guarantee outcomes. I suppose even though those terms aren't negotiable that it was shame on me, and I should have known better. so now I'm leaving this long detailed review so others can learn from my mistake--they can do a terrible job that a majority of other companies think is negligent and will cost you tons, but then hide behind that disclaimer!! Buyer beware--in my opinion these guys are totally shady.

Watching them remove trees was like looking at Swiss watch, every move planned and precisely executed. The crane operator worked with such precision that about half the development came out to watch. They were so impressed with the team's performance that 3 of them had trees removed before the crew left the area and several others got estimates for future tree work. They are professional and the pricing was very fair, all work was completed and the cleanup was outstanding. If you need tree work give them a call, you won't be disappointed.
