We just moved and our home had several old and dead trees. We called several companies before finding Castro Tree Service. I was really impressed by how quick Mr. Castro responded and came out to look at my tree problem. Some of the other companies we called still haven't returned our call. I've used Castro twice now and both times they have shown up on time, been efficient, safe, and easy to work with. Alejandro has a great crew and his prices are reasonable. That took down two oaks that were hanging over my roof and dropping limbs casing roof leaks, and 8 pine trees. There are still plenty of hardwoods left that can now flourish but I'm also loving the huge difference in morning and afternoon sun. The crew cleaned everything up and things look great. This Is not a complaint in any way just an informational piece of advice. The front yard did get torn up a little, as you would expect from the rain and diving equipment over it, but Alejandro asked me before doing it and I told him that was fine because it needed to be seeded anyway. Only mentioning this so that people know to clarify ahead of time if you don't want them using equipment to remove the tree trunks. I didn't care about the damage but also figured it would be extra for them to haul it away much more manually. A recent storm blew the upper half of a 100 ft oak down, but the remaining half looked very weak about halfway up, so we decided to have some take it down. We reached out to Castro Tree Service and they had the tree down in 24 hours ( there was a risk of it hitting the house if another strong storm came by). Alejandro gave me an estimate to take down 5 Big Pine Trees that were dangerously close to my Garden Shed, where I wanted to add a Lean-To. In the quote, He included a bunch of smaller trees that were in the general area. A couple of weeks after the estimate the crew of 4 showed up @ 8AM and they were done by 1030AM! None of the trees were dropped whole; each was cut and safely brought down piece by piece. Two of them had to be climbed and cut piece by piece from the top down. "Fast, efficient, good-price tree removal" I used Yelp to ask for quotes from multiple local tree removal services because we had a large dead tree in the backyard that could have damaged our home if it fell. I sent the request on a Sunday morning. By noon that same day (Sunday), a representative from Castro Tree Service was at my house to look at the tree and give a price estimate. I had to wait a few days to get estimates from the other companies, but their estimate was by far the lowest (literally half the price of Wright Brothers', for example, and Castro Tree Service didn't charge me to get a quote). I confirmed on Thursday, and the came to take the tree down on Saturday. Process lasted under 30 minutes, and was done well. Great price, quality work, and good communication. We had two dead trees in our backyard that needed to be removed in a short timeframe. I contacted Alejandro and he came out the next day to give me a free quote. He was really good about responding to emails quickly. If he couldn't make it out because of the rain he told me in advance and let me know when they could come out next. When they removed the trees, they were extremely careful not to let any branches or parts of the trunks fall into our pool. Horrible. Came out and did an estimate then failed to show twice! Extremely slow and bad communication. We agreed on a planned morning to come. I took off work and he failed to show. Said there was an emergency with no forewarning or any communication of cancelation. Then said he would come in the afternoon after they took an hour break during the time I told him would not work. Then said he would come the following Saturday. Failed again to show, and did not respond to any emails, txts, or communication over yelp. Go see Donald Lowry's Tree service.
