We had 3 trees trimmed with Peter Parker's Tree service! I can't say enough about how professional and efficient the workers were! They communicated with me on whether it looked good to me, which I really appreciated! The price was very fair! I will definitely use them again! read more

I have used Parker tree service a few times to trim and shape my oak trees. They have done an excellent job each time. The trees were trimmed and shaped correctly and look great. The team cleaned up all trimmings and left everything clean. Parker is not the cheapest but the fees are reasonable and they are properly licensed and insured which you really want if you have workers climbing trees. I will definitely use them again. read more

Pete and his crew did an excellent job removing a 25' tree and several other 7' shrubs/trees, pruning and shaping severall 30' trees and smaller trees. Crew was well training and took good care to minimize damage and mess. Pete took the time to help me decide what to do with a perspective of caring for the trees and specimens. Pete and his crew are my new go-to tree service. I highly recommend them. You will be very pleased with their work, their quality and integrity. read more

We have used Parker Tree Service for years at our rental property. Pete will always come out and walk the property and take a video of what he intends to do. It ends up, making it very easy and clear. They are super knowledgeable about all shrubs and trees. They always do a perfect job. I would recommend them as the number one tree service in San Diego. read more

A quality certified tree specialist. He did trimming in backyard that your regular gardener can't reach. In the front I thought he took too much off a tree but it is now sprouting green leaves. Parker gave the old tree a second life. read more

We've been using Pete and his crew for many years, but this year he went above and beyond helping ease a situation over the trees with our "backyard" neighbors! They always do a quality job, and leave the yard cleared of all debris. I highly recommend Pete and his very capable crew for any of your tree needs! read more

Parker Tree Service owner responded within minutes to my initial phone call. He understood my concerns with an invasive root problem and promptly came to my home to give his professional opinion and remedied the problem right then. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. I will definitely call them for any landscaping issues in the future! read more

I highly recommend this business. Pete came out and gave me an estimate and was on the job to help to ensure that everything he quoted was done correctly. His quote was reasonable and lower than three other quotes that I received for the same job. I was very happy with the work that was gone and my trees look great. If you need a tree trimmer, he's the guy! read more

Pete Parker and his crew recently cut down 2 palm trees : a diseased Canary Date palm and a very tall Mexican Fan palm in my yard plus trimmed 4 Queen palms. They did an Excellent job- from beginning to end. Cleaned up my yard and neighbor's as well. They are all tree experts. I highly recommend Parker Tree Service for your next tree/palm trim or cut down. Their price is competitive compared to 2 other tree service I called. Will use them again for future palm trimming/clean up. Thank you Pete Parker and crew. read more

Pete and his team were amazing start to finish. Pete was very quick to send a quote for a tree trimming. I was able to get my tree done quick and easy. I had no issues with using this company. Thank you so much, ill definitely be using this service again. read more

Excellent communication by text before Pete scheduled. Easy to reach for questions. Pete is very knowledgeable about all our many trees. They looked great after he trimmed them all. Price was fair and work was excellent. I'm using his service annually and highly recommend Pete Parker. read more

Well I can see from my 2013 review that I've been using Pete Parker's Tree Service for over twelve years, and I just want to say that I still wouldn't trust my trees or our now 35' tall palms to anyone else. There are many reasons I say this; but the reason I'm writing now is to add how remarkably impressed I am with how experienced, knowledgeable, honest and honorable he is in his assessment of what needs to be done. He truly cares about the health of the trees he works on, and if he thinks a tree needs LESS work (or to be left as is) for the health of the tree, he will say so even though it means a smaller job or no job at all. His team is conscientious and expert, and his pricing is competitive. He's always busy and booking out, but they are well worth waiting for. read more

We have had Parker Tree Service take care of our trees for the past 20+ years. They always do an excellent job including clean up. We use them also because of their expertise and knowledge of trees and shrubs. They trim our palm trees without making holes in the trunks. They are easy to work with and are always on time. And they are always respectful of our property and landscaping. We would highly recommend them to anyone including our closest friends. read more

Been using Parker Tree for over 25 years trimming my 2 large Coral trees in my backyard. Excellent service and very professional.

A tree fell over in our yard and Pete was able come over and give us an estimate that afternoon. His crew arrived the next morning and removed the downed tree and also trimmed our melalucca trees too. The crew was very careful and did a good job cleaning up. Overall, we are very pleased. read more

I was really surprised to have the same experience as other reviewers: initial communication with Pete Parker was very swift and thorough, he came out right away to give me a quote. Then he completely ghosted when I tried to schedule - so strange! Why would someone do the work of quoting and then not do the work? I followed up 3 times to the text thread (where we agreed the scope of work and pricing) with not a single reply. read more

Pete has been trimming our trees for over 15 years. He is a true tree lover and arborist which I appreciate as he gives great recommendations about how to get all of our different trees looking the best. He is also very honest and won't do more work than you need. You would think an arborist would be more expensive but given that he's licensed and bonded his prices compare to the average tree trimmer who is also a gardener without a license. A true professional. We highly recommend Pete! read more

Pete and the 3 other men on the team led by Carlos came out to our home in Del Sur at 8am right on time! Pete & I walked Carlos and the team around our property as we had about 15 trees requiring lacing and trimming, an Orchid tree that needed shaping, 2 trees cut down, and 2 palm tree stumps grinned out. Each member of the team are extremely conscientious and take great awareness of other plants so they don't get damaged. They cleaned our property during the work and st the conclusion on the job again cleaned up thoroughly. Fun to watch the work as each of are like artists carefully removing select branches to trim and shape each tree. We will definitely have Pete and his team back to our home in Avaron. I'll try and post a photo or 2. read more

My wife contacted Peter several times to try and get him to come out and do the job he had scheduled but he did not keep her posted of electrical issues with his truck and never called or texted her to say he would be late or could not make the appointment. He did say he was having trouble with his truck so why can't he call and let the client know he will be late or has to cancel the appointment? My wife had to always call or text him. Very inconsiderate we do not have the time to babysit Peter and try and get him to do his job. Not a good way to treat your customers when you run a Business. Good luck if you use them! I would not recommend Parker Tree Service read more

I highly recommend Parker Tree Service. They did an excellent job trimming as well as removing several different trees in our backyard at a very reasonable price. read more

I was very happy with the work done by Parker Tree Service. The crew were friendly, fast, efficient, trimmed everything as planned, cleaned up the area nicely afterwards, etc. read more

Cannot review work as it was never provided. Called 2 weeks ago and asked for an estimate to trim my tree. As of this writing, no estimate done. Either: a) the business is going so well Parker Tree doesn't need new business or b) they are so disorganized they cannot even provide an estimate quote. Either way, don't bother because they can't be bothered with you. read more

I continue to be impressed by the service and knowledge of Parker Tree Service! Peter and his crew have done a great job lacing and trimming my trees, as well as removing some old trees and planting new Podocarpus bushes for me. He is a true arborist who cares about his work - checking in on the bushes even days after planting! He is a busy guy, but rightfully so. Thank you to you and your crew for all the hard work! read more

Peter and his crew made a huge improvement in our yard. We had many overgrown trees which made our yard look unkempt and blocked out so much light. We appreciate Peter's expertise and suggestions and the guys respecting our property and cleaning up perfectly afterwards. read more

Mr. Parker gave me an estimate three months ago and I was told that they would be back in 2 weeks. Called them three times to schedule an appointment, have not received any phone call from Mr. Parker so far. TERRIBLE customer service!!!! read more

Sorry, have to down vote this guy. Left two messages (with the live answering service) and no call back. May be a great guy - but if you can't even get him on the phone... EDIT: I actually got an email from a yelper saying don't rate 1 star if he won't respond - he could be sick, or on vacation, or busy... Allow me to address those concerns: 1) The original 4.5 star rating that caused me to call this service twice several days apart is misleading if the business does not return calls. High ratings should be reserved for businesses that provide a positive experience for the willing and reasonable consumer. I ended up wasting my time. 2) If the proprietor is sick, on vacation, etc he has a live answering service that could have been given a new script. Just like us working schmoes who need to call the boss when we're ill or out on vacation, the owner needs to update the answering service. 3) If I am totally off base, and this review is the exception, then I expect my review to soon be drowned out by yelpers joyously rating him 5 stars, 6 if they could, because they had a job well done. I really feel that a non-response (after a couple tries - just in case they missed the first call) is enough to rate a business. read more

I have seen Parker Tree Service around the neighborhood (Scripps Ranch) and so I thought I would give their company a try. Honestly, we started out a little rough but it panned out...and now I would recommend them with a few precautions. Pros: 1. Peter (yes, Peter Parker...my husband pointed out that to me all you comic fans) is very nice and he is a serious arborist so he doesn't go crazy cutting the trees, he takes what needs to be taken off without removing too much. 2. His crew is efficient and they clean up their mess after they have completed the job. 3. Overall, the trees we removed properly and those trees we had lace and/or trimmed look fantastic. 4. Parker Tree Service has an "A+" on the BBB website. Cons: 1. When I originally called to have him come by and do a quote, he forgot and I had to call again to request that he come to our house. 2. Parker Tree Service has an answering service that takes calls for the company and passes on messages to Peter. I wish it was easier to access him! A couple days prior to our appointment I left a message and he never returned the phone call. 3. The day of our appointment we find out that Peter had our appointment for a different week. He was able scramble and remove two trees and have to trees trimmed by the end of the day. He also did apologize and admitted he made a mistake and says that this happens maybe twice a year. *All-in-all I would use him again now that we have his cell phone number :) read more

Parker Tree did the service on two large trees on our property. Five stars because when we weren't happy (not enough trimming), Peter sent his crew right back out the next day to make it right. Scheduling was a little tricky - the whole answering service is a little annoying only because sometimes you have to wait a day or two for a call back. And then when we decided to do the job, it had to be scheduled two weeks out. But hey, I guess that's a sign of a popular business. All in all, the final work was great and the price was competitive. We will use Parker again. read more

I received a coupon for Parker and needed quick tree service. I gave them a call and they were immediately able to help me the next day. They came out and removed a huge tree from my yard. It was a coral tree with 4 large trunk sections. The base of the tree was at least 15 feet in diameter. I left in the morning and when I returned, there was just a stump - which I had not paid to have removed. The yard was cleaned up. No bits or pieces were left behind. The price was reasonable. Their service was great. It was nice to deal with a professional in an industry not known for always being professional. read more

What we did with the backyard and the palm trees...I didn't think was possible. But thankfully, Parker Tree Service did an incredible job. When I hang my hammock up and am relaxing, with a fruity drink with an umbrella in it (and perhaps a bit of booze), I'll look up and be glad that San Diego has this wonderful weather, and glad that I called Parker Tree Service. read more

We recently had a variety of trees and shrubs removed from our backyard. Very knowledgeable, easy communication, and great pricing. I was also impressed at how efficient they were. The job took half of the time I thought it would take them. Will definitely contact them again for future tree trimming and/or removal. read more

Called twice. Got a call back stating they would give an estimate "later this morning". Never showed. Called back to inquire why, and to reschedule another estimate. Never heard from them again. Would NEVER recommend Parker Tree Service. If would can't do the work, understaffed, etc. Fine. Just let your customers know!!! Don't ghost the customer! Parker Tree Service doesn't know that? Makes their website seem extremely fake when they talk of quality and customer service. I saw none of it. read more

Had Parker Trees undertake two projects at my home since last review and both times they did very good work. Peter Parker has now taken back the reins of the business and is doing a great job. His crew arrived on time, worked very efficiently and cleared up. Would definitely recommend. read more

A neighbor's 30' tall dead pine tree fell on my property recently. It's essentially a dry rotted Christmas tree and it's a huge fire hazard. The neighbors insist on using Parker tree. He allegedly came to inspect the tree and determined that it was not a hazard. This despite the fact that the neighbors have an exposed hot water heater within feet of the dead tree. So Parker decides to schedule the removal 18 days after the tree fell! When we called him, he never returned our first call, finally called back after we complained about customer service. Basically told us to pound sand and that he was too busy to put a rush on things. Said that all tree trimmers were busy after storm and appts running 3-4 weeks. I found three guys who could do it same day but a-hole neighbors refuse to do it. They say it's Parker or nothing. They have about five other dead trees about to fall over so I don't think he's been out there much or often. I would not trust or recommend this guy to anyone and am skeptical to even let him on my property after his determination that my family is not in danger. Temps have been in the 90's this past week and Fire Marshall has been called to inspect. This guy is a tool! read more

Parker Tree Service is a one man show. It looks like he has a hard time just managing follow up depending upon how busy he is. He came over to give me an estimate very quickly, but didn't follow up with doing the work. He didn't call to say he wasn't coming in on the agreed to dates, nor did he return my calls. He just didn't show up. I think the reason he either gets really good or really bad reviews is that he is fundamentally unreliable. Sometimes he'll come through and sometimes he won't. I ended up firing him. read more

I called Parker tree service to remove some trees at our house. He came out and gave me an estimate and was very polite. I called him a week later to schedule a time to do the work and I never got a return phone call. I was in no hurry so I gave him another call two weeks later, then a text message, then emails and more phone calls. Just for kicks I went back to check just how many times I attempted to reach Mr. Parker. The total came to six phone calls, two text messages, and four emails. All of them ignored. Honestly, I've never come across anything like this because he came highly recommended. Reading other reviews however I see that he has a pattern of not getting back to people so for that reason I could never recommend his services. read more

Looks like you were looking at my reviews. Here's the deal Peter, I really tried to work with you. The review of the tree company you are making reference to, their number had a been busy for days. Its not like I called once or twice. Your reference to my one star for that tree service, it appears you are trying to justify your actions. I can say this, you need to be prompt and offer great service to your customers and your business will thrive. You have more than one negative review. Too bad things didn't work out. Have a great day Peter. read more

We did not care for the attitude or workmanship of this company. We twice asked them to finish the job and still have tree stumps in our yard. I need tree work and would not use this company again. read more

I felt this company is very unprofessional based on the fact below. And you can see this is my very first review on Yelp... So how upset I am (and how tolerable I am as a customer) you be the judge. I had Mr. Parker stopped by to give an estimation on some tree trimming earlier this year. and I started to call his office to schedule a time to do the work. How many times I called? Maybe more than 5 times! I bet the operator lady would get tired of me already! He never give me a call back. Not even once! If he felt my job is too small for his busy money-making schedule, fine. Just let me know. Everybody has the right not to serve someone. But every time I called, the answer was the same: he will call you back. Do not waste my time! This is not where you figure out "he is not that into you", This is doing business! Even Peter Griffin would be polite enough to take out a sign of "Closed" when he was working at DMV! I would single-handedly gave a 1-star based on the unprofessionalism and wasting my time. I was trying to state only the facts, so even that Peter Griffin part is real, I mean, real on TV... read more
