Avoid purchasing your vehicle from this dealership, it's not worth the hassle that you'll later encounter with the staff! This is my second time writing a review for this company, my first issue was "eventually" resolved, but now since that I'm suppose to receive a refund due to cancelling the extended warranty, the accountant team has avoided to refund the amount to my credit union. By avoiding I mean not responding to the numerous of emails that I've sent to the Senior Controller- Rossana Dip and calls/voicemail I've made since early summer. It's very frustrating to call someone at least twice or three times a week for MONTHS and never receive a call back or actually speak with them. I had finally got in touch with Rossana's assistant Virginia who stated that a check has been sent to my credit union and that was over a month ago! Still no check was received! Another crazy thing is I called last week and asked to speak to the General Manger hoping to finally get this issue resolved and was told that Rossana and her assistant Virginia are the "Big Bosses," well please tell your big bosses to do their job. I wish I could give a zero star! This is the most dishonest business in town. I found a well-priced vehicle that Park Place advertised on iseecars.com. I enquired, got a call back and several texts from Nicole assuring me the car was in good shape and was available. I scheduled a test drive and drove out 1.5 hrs., come to find out the vehicle is water-damaged, has a salvage title. Nicole claimed not to know this. A minute into the conversation, Peter, the salesman, was offering to sell me an Acura. I insisted on seeing the water-damaged car- I wanted to see how far they would go with the lies. Peter said the vehicle was in their warehouse 30 minutes away. I said I had all afternoon and evening and could wait. He stepped away, came back a few minutes late and said a customer had taken it for a test drive. I insisted on waiting. Well, where should I start? This review is long over due. In July 2019 I came across this dealership to purchase my first car, little did I know it'll be a big SCAM to say the least. Let's start by the talking about the facility, it's in a perfect location on a corner of a super busy intersection and main street. The dealership is so enticing, this is what I call the LURE. Upon arrival when you walk into the lobby it's decked out with one of the latest Lamborghini's, Rolls Royce's, Bentley's, Mercedes and BMW's. It's like you become lost in Cartopia, the sound of a brand new BMW or the exhaustion of a sleeping Lamborghini hmmm talk about visual ecstasy and pure lust for cars. The environment is made to make you forget where you are and what you are about to get yourself into. By the time you leave and all the documents are signed, the ink has dried, the lust for sexy cars wears off that's when everything hits you like a ton of breaks, you have been ultimately FINESSED my friend. The salesmen are trained so well that they talk you out of your train of thought which is the first thing I should've realized. I spoke to some guy Jose, I told him I wanted to lease a car but I needed a credit line first so I wanted a nice car but affordable. Something I can pay off within a year, he said he'll get me a good deal. The dumbest thing I ever did , believing him. So we test drove a few cars and it came down to a BMW, it was an old one and it had some potential. So we started talking money, I said nothing more then $15K they said okay, again I was being dumb. I signed all the paperwork and put down the down payment I was on my way, ready to get in that Beamer and do 140 m/h on a 65 well that was short lived, they brought a BMW upfront and I noticed something odd about it. It wasn't the nice one I test drove earlier, I guess that one was a decoy and the one they brought to me was the one they wanted to sell to me. There were a bunch lights on, on the dashboard display, the engine light, the wheels were slippery, the oil light, air bag was released and so on. I immediately rejected the car and told them I want the car I was in earlier they told me it was a different model and they'll fix it up and deliver it to my house. I left that day without a car after signing for one, a few days later still no delivery and then the bank calls. They congratulating me on purchasing a car and asking how it's going, I'm like where? I don't even have a car it wasn't yet delivered. Anyways the bank assured me that they'll bring it when it's ready. I'm like okay no problem, 2 weeks pass by and still no car. I called the bank and had the loan stopped since I still haven't had the car. The bank calls the dealership and they say I took the car to the mechanic. Which was a lie, I happened to go look at the loan it was $25K which was ridiculous for an old broken down car. I never put insurance on the car so I couldn't legally leave the lot with the car. Thank God I didn't take the car because I would've been screwed now. After the bank realized the dealership was being shady the loan was pulled, the dealership was liable for all the fees I didn't lose my down payment because I proved that I didn't have the car. I locked my credit because they tried to run it a few times to bring it down because they wanted to be petty since they mad that they got played instead of me. For real avoid this place like the plague, they will ruin you financially and destroy your credit in its entirety. I was very lucky and fortunate to come out scott free with only a few scratches of frustration and a new found knowledge about used car dealerships. I read some terrible reviews about people who really got messed up by these guys. Park Place is a disgrace and shouldn't be allowed to do business, people work to hard for their monies for it to be taken away by a bunch of low life, thieving scumbags. Only find out that the car really had 270,000 miles on it and a salvage title this place bad. The odometer was also replaced and they tried to hide that from me but me being stupid I still purchased the car I guess because I was an African American they up sold me on rims meanwhile I really needed an Escalade that they claimed they had in stock still, but they never really even had it. A lady on the phone confirmed it was a clean title, that the car was in their location and that the out of the door cost is the listed price plus documentation fees which is $690. Total scam, called 6 times on a BMW including a call on Saturday to confirm the vehicle was still there. "Yes, it's here". So I schedule an appointment for Monday at 12:30 pm and head out for the hour and 30 minute ride to the dealership. I get there and they tell me "the car isn't available, it's for export only because of a salvaged title". Not knowing what the hell that means, I asked for clarification. Basically, the car that I set an appointment to test drive was no longer available unless I was willing to buy it "as is" and with a compromised title. I call the person I scheduled the appointment with and was told that the car was available but part of a bulk buy from another dealership and in fact on Sunday (Easter Sunday), they were working with NJ DMV on inspections and titles but the car was still not available. Stay away from this place. We were interested in a car they had on their website and was also listed on Car Gurus. We were coming from Long Island so we made sure we had a plan B and C. We were serious buyers ready to purchase. Before e left we spoke with the woman who had made the appointment for us and she told us the cars we were interested in were available. She even texted us a link to the car. We drove almost 2 hours and when we get there nobody was aware of our appointment. To make matters worse, not 1 of the 3 cars were there. We were given some nonsense story that they were sold. The salesman pointed to a completely different car and said how about this one. Then he told us that one of the cars may be at Monmouth Maserati. We drove another 45 minutes only to find out that the car was not there. The employees that make appointments get paid for appointments made and they do not care if the car you are interested in is there. They just want you to show up. Stay AWAY! I am going to write a near-identical review to a few other people here on the dealership's practices and their ability to not refund your money after purchasing a warranty from them. DO NOT purchase any additional warranties from them at all. I did, and 2 days later went back in person to cancel it only to get the run around while I was there. 4 months and a whole entire new year has begun and I am still tracking them down for confirmation they will send me or my loan holder the money they owe me. WEEKLY calls, emails, and in-person requests have largely been given the run-around. They simply will not honor cancelations, much less offer the required refund. I have already filed with the state's Consumer Fraud Association and I am filing paperwork (as I type this) to sue them for the amount owed. I found a cute Mercedes C300 on cars.com that was practically brand new with very low mileage for an unusually low price (for Mercedes Benz standards). Anyway, I drive 1 hour to see the car selections and not only was that car not there, but all the other choices advertised (that i was considering) were not there as well! I was told that there was only one choice and it would be about 10,000 miles more and $4000 more (not counting taxes and other extra costs). Talk about bait and switch... I felt the whole time that the salesperson was trying to hustle with sales tactics. It just didnt feel right. Plus, the dealership looks like a mess in a bad area. Why would I pay the same amount here if I can get it for that at a reputable, local Mercedes dealership? Btw, one positive though, is that they offer the option to pre- certify the Mercedes where it goes through the Mercedes dealership, is looked at and updated to perfect status and given a warranty... It can be done the same day and costs about $2,500 extra. This is good because most none official Mercedes Benz dealerships don't do that. Sales manager agreed on out-to-door price 17,000 USD of a vehicle we purchased. 5,000 USD down payment was put down. 12,000 USD loan was taken. When I received my first car payment bill, and I saw 20,000 USD was actually taken. I went on the folder that Park Place of NJ provided, and could not locate any paperwork states the value of the vehicle. I called the sales manager Jose Soto multiple times, he refused to provide any paperwork, and the price of the vehicle I bought. I went to the dealership, spoke to the finance manager Benny, and he finally revealed the value of the vehicle and all the hidden fees, which includes 2,900 USD dealership fee, random 2,500 DOWC warranty fee and etc. I requested them to return all these hidden fees they charged. They refused. They also refused to provide the actual key fobs of the vehicle they initially agreed on (only a spare key fob was provided on the date of purchasing). They claimed that they would offer option to refinance the loan in 5 months, which does not justify total lose of 12,000 USD includes 6 years of interests (8,000USD loan discrepancy + 6 year interests). I called Elizabeth police department and reported this fraud. While waiting for the police to show up, one of the general managers told me that they would refund only 1,000 USD, if I drop the reporting. I refused. When police show up, one of the officers told me that they come to this dealership all the time to address fraud complains. The officers could not do much to settle our case but providing a police report (case#20-001716). According to the officer, case like this can only be address in court. In addition, this dealership still owes me two key fobs, and license plates. During police investigation, finance manager claimed to ship out our license plates on Monday 1/6/2020 if I call. I called the dealership multiple times, once they hear my voice, they either put me on infinite hold, or hang up the phone. Moreover, I have tried to contact DOWC warranty company to request fund that the dealership initially charged me. DOWS hasn't even received the payment from dealership. Therefore, DOWS was not able to fund the fees back. Event if they did, the fee would be sent back to the dealership. With all the frauds they have conducted to all their customers, I believe they chance of having any money back would be nearly zero. Park Place of New Jersey is a criminal enterprise operating under the disguise of an auto dealership. Their sales agent (HAZ) and finance manager (LUIZ BONET) concealed accident history, misrepresented purchase price, tacked on undisclosed fees, failed to provide us contract documents, and forged my wife's signature. We did not take delivery of the vehicle from their lot when we found out the fraud and misrepresentation. But we found out after they charged $3,000 down payment to our debit card. They have refused to refund the down payment. My wife and I had an appointment to see a 2017 Lexus GX460 (Stock #168833) listed for $26,900). We drove 1.5 hours. Upon reaching the dealership, the sales agent, HAZ told us Stock #168833 had mechanical issues and instead recommended a 2018 Lexus GX460 (Stock #186471) with similar mileage. HAZ told us Stock #186471 had no accident history and comes with a 3-year extended warranty. He told us one of their financing banks (capital one) approved my wife for a $3,000 down payment and a $641.75 per month. I insisted to know the purchase price, PA sales tax (we live in PA), amount financed by capital one bank, annual interest rate, and the number of periodic payments. In response to my questions, HAZ introduced LUIZ as the finance person to go over the details. LUIZ told us, with $3,000 down payment, the $641.75 per month will be for 60 months. He said the purchase price for Stock #186471 was a little under $32,000 and that the $3,000 down payment plus $641.75 per month for 60 months covers the purchase price, PA state tax, DMV, and interest on the loan; like HAZ, LUIZ repeated that the 3-year extended warranty comes with the purchase price --- in his words "everything included." LUIZ even took me to one of the computer screens at the sales office to demonstrate that the car's retail value is approx. $34,000 and that we were getting a discounted deal with less than $32,000 purchase price. We told both LUIZ and HAZ that we would take delivery of the car the following day, 3/10. They asked my wife to sing: a used motor vehicle 'as is' disclosure form, finance contingency agreement, vehicle history report acknowledgement, and as-is disclosure form. We paid the $3,000 deposit and left for the day. On 3/10 we showed up to pick the car. HAZ told us all paperwork were in a file in the car compartment. Upon inspection, I noticed the finance agreement was missing and there was no mention of purchase price in the sales agreement. We were made to spend over 45 additional minutes when I insisted on seeing the documents. LUIZ even said that Capital One would mail the documents to our address!! After several backs and forth, LUIZ provided me with a new file. Upon inspection, the financing agreement had the purchase price as $38,900, doc fee $695, DOWC service contract $3,000, DMV $180, PA sales tax $2,555.7; total $45,330.7!! With the $3,000 down payment, the financing agreement showed $651.75 monthly payments for 75 months!! I confronted HAX and LUIZ immediately... HAZ fled the scene stating he had nothing to do with the numbers. LUIZ explained that he made a mistake telling us the previous day that the $641.75 monthly payments would be for 60 instead of 75 months! The next revelation!! We run our independent car fax report and found out HAZ and LUIZ lied to us --- Stock #186471 was involved in an accident on 11/12/2020 with the airbags deployed. We immediately told them that we are no longer interested in the car. Capital One Bank agreed to cancel the loan agreement when we told them about the accident history. Another revelation!!! We noticed that Park Place transported my wife's signature (very conspicuous) to a LAW 553-NJ-eps 11/19 in order to get financing approval from Capital One Bank!! Although we NEVER took delivery of the car, Park Place has refused to refund our $3,000 down payment. We have reached out to the owner, Mr. Salvador Dip on telephone but the secretary would not allow us to speak with him. The dealership no longer responds to our phone calls. They would place us on hold for so long until the call terminates. read more

"THIEVES AND SCAMMERS" On 05/16/2020 I purchased a Toyota Highlander 2017 at Park place of New Jersey as we bargain for the price we agreed upon 27K all taxes and fees included in front of my husband and my brother. I told the finance guy SEBASTIEN taking care of the paperwork that I have my bank approval letter he looked at it and told me that he can have a better APR rate for me. On that note I told him why not lets try it after waiting almost an hour he told me that I was approved for 27k with a 3.09% APR but he claimed he can lowered it to 2.99% if I can put down $1500. He proceeded with the paperwork after almost 2 and half hours he brought me to his office to sign the paperwork while covering with extra papers all the extra charges he added to the price only showing a grand total of 29.9k which I taught was the total price including the finance fees. On 5/19/2020 I called the lender to have them send me the loan contract and later found that SEBASTIEN applied for a 30k loan instead of a 27K without my approval, claiming he needed it to cover for some fees and taxes after we sealed the purchase at 27K everything included. On that same day I went to the dealership to confront them as I came in I can see that Sebastien was very scared and shaken and did admitted that it was wrong but can do nothing because you signed. I ask to speak to Manager but Sebastien said no one was there at the moment, when I really pushed Noel presented himself as a sales manager and agreed to cancel it. After waiting for 5 hours with a lot of back and fourth both Noel and Sebastien came back stating it could not be cancelled or I will have to loose my down payment and an additional $1000 totaling to $2500 in order for it to be cancelled. read more
