I asked if a car was available, was told yes,so i filled out the pre loan approval. I called and asked if Saturday was ok, and was told yes. Sat am, i recieved a call saying there was a an inspection, I didn't bother to ask what kind of inspection, I asked about Monday ,and as told yes. I drove into Manhattan, and parked in a lot, for a shorter ride. I recieved a call at 930 am, inspection was still ongoing, but tomorrow was good. I drove in yet again to Manhattan on Tuesday, recieved a call again at 930, the locks were frozen due to the cold weather, no way to open the place, the owner saif6he would call me back if the locksmith could open the locks, never heard back again. Dear Auto Buyer, Please do not go to any other auto dealer to buy the car of your dreams because I found mine at Hatt Auto Sales. Just to make you aware I was not solicited to write this review. It is completely my pleasure. I had been looking for a Rolls Royce Silver Seraph for about 6 months. I have had 3 Rolls Royces previously and certainly knew what I was looking for. I wanted an absolutely flawless automobile. As if it was sitting on the showroom floor. I actually found it and much much more. The more was Joe. Joe had been negotiating with another dealer when I left a message. I received a prompt reply. Joe answered all my questions and even offered useful information that I hadn't thought of asking for. I live in Fallbrook, California and of course Joe's dealership is about 3 thousand miles away. I was only able to look at pictures on the website. Joe offered to take more pictures than what were on the website. He took pictures of everything I asked for. Joe went way way above and beyond the average car salesperson. The price was $40,000.00. with only 22,000 miles. This was easily below the current market value and according to the NADA was worth about $73,000. This Rolls Royce, given the additional custom additions that it has, out the door was about $250,000. new. Joe knew all the history of the car from the time it was new. It had always been serviced by the same Rolls Royce dealership where it was sold. I asked Joe if he would take it to the Rolls Royce dealership for an inspection. He gladly agreed to do so. I offered to pay him for his time but he said that would not be necessary. After a lengthy inspection the Rolls Royce dealership called me and said that it was as if it still was still sitting on their showroom floor. I had no problem whatsoever wiring Joe $40,000. even without personally seeing the car. I wanted to do so before someone else saw what an incredible deal it was. It took about 1 month to get a carrier to pick it up because of its dimensions. It is an unusually wide car. During this time Joe was very patient. I offered to pay him a storage fee because I knew that my car was taking up indoor space that he needed. He never asked for a storage fee nor would he accept one. Upon delivery I realized that I had gotten the car of my dreams. It was literally flawless just like the dealership and Joe said. I am 66 years old and I am a retired Doctor. I have never trusted nor purchased anything from anyone this expensive in my whole life without seeing it in person I was able to buy the car of my dreams and pay for it before I saw it because Joe is and was so completely honest and trustworthy. He even said that when I got it if I didn't like the color or something was wrong with it he would take it back and give me my money back, no questions asked. I would not hesitate to buy another car sight unseen from Joe anytime. He is by far the most honest car dealer I have ever known in my whole life. I signed a purchase agreement with partner/owner Hossein to buy a vehicle. We agreed on terms, price, and that the vehicle would be covered under a short dealer warranty as part of the purchase price. To followup, I called Peter their sales manager several times over the course of the 10 days to work out the paperwork. Every time we spoke, I was told that everything was on track, no problems. They have my every contact cell, home phone, address. When I arrived at the dealership check in hand. I was told that the vehicle would be sold as-is which would relinquish my lemon law rights (reason was because their warranty company refused to cover hybrid vehicles, which was a lie, since I immediately called the company GWC which in fact does cover them). Peter scratched out the original purchase agreement, and would not honor the contract with even their own dealer warranty ("what if the engine falls out after you drive off, it'll cost me $4k to replace" hmmm, maybe they know something I don't). I was called cheap by Peter for having their driver drive us to their dealership (located in an unsafe neighborhood) from the local train station (STANDARD service for all the dealerships!) All sorts of illogical arguments were thrown at me and my wife ("we bought you a set of navigation disks to cover the costs of the warranty instead!" come again?). Why didn't they just tell me they had no intention of keeping to the contract on the many times we spoke on the phone? Totally wasted my time with these losers. Save your time and energy, and let them stick to the "wholesale business"! Business law and contracts mean nothing to these people. read more

I set my eyes on a Honda pilot that hatt had advertised, it was very clean nothing out of the ordinary. I get there and ask to see but it wasn't there yet, but it showed up a few minutes later(as well as the second time i saw the car i never saw the car from a cold start). Checked it over the only thing that concerned me was a slight smell of coolant, but i could find no leaks. Took it for test drive and drove great but the guy i was with (this is important for later in the story) told me that it had all new plugs and coils. Which i thought was great, also asked if i wanted a coolant flush done which i declined without me even mentioning my concern for the coolant smell. I did end-up purchasing this car. So this car was from jersey and i had to get it inspected in pa, took it to my local Honda dealer i have below the estimate for what it needed. Almost $2500 worth of work. That's back in January, lets fast forward to this month of may. Wife calls me and says the cars radiator broke and was steaming. When it was replaced i found someone had used that band aid fix of pouring the goop into the radiator to stop it from leaking. A week after that the car starting sputtering on the highway with the check engine light flashing and broke down. Took it to Honda hoping its something simple, mechanic was shaking his head as i'm walking up to him. Someone botched a spark plug hole replacement in cylinder #5 they put a ford threaded insert in and the spark plug that was there was solid at the tip. All the other 5 spark plugs looked new and oem, the one in cylinder 5 was a cheap autolite. The compression for the cylinder was at 60 psi and is supposed to be 180. So the mechanic told me the engine is shot and needs a replacement. So a used high mileage engine cost around $1200 plus installation. Recon engine is probably going to be twice that. I also got the codes p0420 and p0430 which basically says i need new catalytic converters as well because of the cylinder failing. Now as i mentioned above about the test drive, they had to know of the problem of cylinder 5, the spark plugs were all fresh except for one which couldn't be replaced because an oem wouldn't fit. They also had to have known about the radiator problem as i mentioned above they asked if i wanted a flush. So as these things started happening i pieced together that they knowingly sold me a car that was going to fail. I would definitely have a appropriate service center mechanic look over their cars if you do plan on buying one here as you don't want $7000 in repairs for your car. These Guys are the BEST! Hossein, Peter and Ali were friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly patient! Ali fixed some small issues with the car to my satisfaction, Peter drew up the paperwork and e-mailed me updated paperwork as I needed them for my insurance and financing institution (coupla times) and Hossein allowed me to take the car although I was a bit short on the down payment (damn ATM limits) and mail them a check. Just remember that they don't take credit/debit cards. Would have saved me some time, but that was my fault for not asking. Great customer support goes a LONG way in my book. Found the specific vehicle I was looking for online from Hatt (Honda Element manual trans) Hatt was the only dealerships within 5 states to have one (they had 3!) Talked on the phone, took Greyhound up to Elizabeth from Baltimore, tested out the car, bought it, proceeded to drive it home. 20 mins into the drive, the car had a minor problem. I returned to the dealership, the immediately ordered a replacement part and installed it on the spot. I drove home and got about an hour and a half out and the new part malfunctioned. Limped the car to Baltimore. Hatt ordered a new part and next dayed the part to me. The problem was fixed. Car didn't pass MD inspection which they guaranteed. I found the parts it needed to pass, Hatt cut me a check and mailed it no questions asked. They handled the situation perfectly and I would do business with them again no problem. 11 mos later and I am still happy with my super rare car purchase from Hatt. Def recommend. read more

Purchased a 2008 Lexus LX570 from Hatt Auto Sales a couple weeks ago. We travelled over 2.5 hours to get there. After this significant financial investment of my savings, we find our selves with a major drivetrain problem. First big mistake: We did not drive it on the highway on the test drive. On the way home upon highway acceleration the truck shook and the check engine and VSC lights came on. We took it to the Lexus Dealer immediately. They found #7 cylinder misfire. The repair cost $1,150.40. Hatt would not return my calls or acknowledge any of this. Upon persistence, Peter the general manager texted back "Sorry boss says it was purchased as is and that's all she wrote." Apparently none of this on their website is true: "At Hatt Auto Sales we are proud of the quality used cars we sell and our dedication to serve the needs of our customers. This is reflected in the amount of repeat business we receive. Whether this is your first purchase with us or one of many that you've had, you can count on our dedicated sales staff to make it the best buying experience possible." Don't go here unless you have a warranty in writing, because after they see your money, they will no longer help when there are serious drivetrain issues. 10 months later, they did nothing but ignore my calls. Saw a vehicle on CarGurus.com and decided to go to Hatt Auto to check it out. Was greeted by the owner who was super friendly offered coffee and bagels and introduced Anthony the sales manager to us. They allowed us time to look at the cars with no pressure. Was undecided on several vehicle both Anthony and the owner didn't hesitate to let us take the vehicles for a test drive, even some that were blocked in. We decided on a different vehicle and put down a deposit until an issue in the vehicle was fixed. Received a call and text 2 days later from Joe the general manager introducing himself and assuring the issue will be fixed and kept us updated on when the vehicle would be ready. Joe answered every question I had and was super friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles. When we finally went to pick up the car the owner himself was helping to clean the car and get it ready. We were promised an extra key and they made it happen. They are no gimmick and best deal for the price. As the owner said they treat you like family when you step foot on the lot. We a were looking for a good used car for commuting and searched every nearby dealership (New Brunswick area). When we saw the cars and prices that Hatt had online, there was no comparison. We were a little skeptical about going all the way to Elizabeth but it proved to be the best move we made in looking for a car. The car we bought at Hatt was in much better shape with lower mileage and a lower cost than anything we had seen nearby. Ali and Peter were great, they prepped the car thoroughly and even gave us a ride home when we dropped it off for some final service. We've since had the car looked at by our local mechanic who thinks we got a great deal. For our next car, we'll be back up at Hatt's. While looking for a car for my daughter, we shopped at large dealerships and through private owners without success. I came across an ad for Hatt Auto Sales featuring the car we were interested in. I went there on three occasions focussing on two RAV4 models they had in stock. Ali and Peter were knowledgeable and NO PRESSURE!! My daughter took note of the fact that this little dealership was better run than the large ones we visited. The cars were clean, prices marked and CarFax reports readily available. Yesterday we went to pick up the 2009 RAV4 and I have to admit I was still unsettled about how easy this was. So I asked if I could take the car for an hour or two and visit my local repair shop. They put a dealer plate on the car and threw us the keys. The car checked out just fine, we returned to do the paperwork. During that time, they cleaned the car again, replaced the wiper blades and presented the car as if it were new. I was amazed, no additional fees, just tax and license plates. I took the time to write this review as I buy new cars often and I can't recall such an easy experience. I recommend these guys highly. read more
