Background info: Recently sold my 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 (Ultimate Red) and after test driving Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, Genesis GV60 Performance, and the Kia EV6 GT I've decided to go with the Kia which was tough to find especially a used one with low miles. I've dealth with many dealers both local and remote (mostly remote) and by far this is one of my BEST (remote) experience. I've purchased used vehicles (sight unseen), it's always risky and definitely not for the faint of heart. The vehicle: It's a 2023 Kia EV6 GT (in Runaway Red), one owner, very low miles (under 9500), clean CarFax, no accidents, not branded, this is the one! 0 photos on the website other than it's coming soon. I wasn't going to let this one get away. Only oustanding thing is an open recall which I can take care of via a local Kia dealership. Sales process: Cody C. is the Sales Consultant I've worked with. I first reached out via the usual process (online form) but this was before xmas eve so I wasn't expecting any traction till after the holidays. Day after xmas I was on a mission, called him up and we were on a roll. After helping me get some photos and videos going along with a shipping quote, I was ready to see those numbers. Price: Since this is a used vehicle, I always use kbb to figure out what the vehicle is worth if I'm buying from a private party. Usually dealer pricing is a bit more but in this case, they've listed it very close to the range what I normally would pay if I went with private (if I could find one that is) The other items I normally look for is doc fee (only $200 in this case very low IMO as others usually much higher) title fee ($19) and.. that's it! Wait... wait.. wait.. What?!?!? nothing else? Are you kidding? What's the catch? I just can't believe there's no crazy dealer add-ons, it's unheard of! The only thing I need to take care of are the sales taxes (which I will pay when I register the vehicle in NV) Buying process: As mentioned earlier, I wasn't going to let this one get away, I put in a deposit (10%) luckily I was able to do this via my credit card. Seeing how I'm doing this remotely, other items needed were Driver's license, 2nd form of ID (utility bill), current insurance. Other than that, I just need to wire the dough (that's always the toughest part) Shipping: Now that everything is in order, it's time to get someone to pickup and transport the vehicle. Normally I usually find my own shipper (because it's cheaper) but then you have to deal with the logistics and coordination with the dealer. Once I got a more accurate shipping quote from Cody, turns out it was actually slightly cheaper (fully enclosed) so I had Cody set this up using part of my deposit money. My guess is the dealer gets a volume discount. The only catch was I did not have direct access to the shipper till he contacted me the day before drop off (which was OK) Delivery took a week (seems longer than usual) so if you want it faster, use your own shipper. Arrival: The day is finally here! After a week of waiting driver arrived right on time. I still can't believe it's in perfect condition, inside and out. Only thing I forgot to check was it only had one key. It's all good, not a big deal. The bonus was to find out it came with the exact dash cam I was planning to purchase. Final Thoughtss / Wrap UP: After driving the vehicle for over a week and had the local Kia dealer performed the recall, the vehicle always puts a smile on my face.. especially when I push that GT button. :) The title came in (via FedEx) about 1 business day after vehicle arrived. I purchased a vehicle from Park Place on February 14 and immediately regretted it. Here is what happened: Safety defect hidden from me at sale. Two days after buying the car, I found out the wheel had been welded by Park Place. This was never disclosed. That's not a minor oversight; that's a safety issue that should have been front and center before I signed anything. They ignored my direct instructions. I told them multiple times clearly and repeatedly not to order a replacement wheel without my approval. They did it anyway. The price changed three times. I was quoted $550, then $425, then $300. I paid $471. When I asked why, the manager said he 'misspoke.' They kept my original wheel. Nobody told me I wouldn't get it back. When I asked, I was told I'd have to pay $150 to retrieve my own property. The seat issue. I reported a metal bar in the driver seat that was digging into my SPINE and when they said they "fixed" it they actually just shoved foam in the part that was protruding and the seat still doesnt work. "Misplaced" Licence Plate. They failed to inform me of my License plate being delivered to the dealership until my temporary plates were within 24 hours of expiring. They had the plates since the 24th of FEBRUARY and my temporary tags expired on March 31st. Zero communication. My car sat in their service department for three days, two days after I bought it. Not one call, not one text. Every update I got was because I called them first. If you're considering buying from Park Place, I strongly urge you to inspect every inch of the vehicle before signing, get every price and promise in writing, and document every conversation. Contrary to what Park Place Ltd markets and suggests, their consignment sales experience was nothing less than a nightmare and a major disappointment. Besides less than impressive results, simply dealing with Park Place's Consignment Manger was very very difficult. Getting a simple callback or a direct reply to an email was exhausting. Park Place managed to rack up thousands of $s in reported service and maintenance expense - unauthorized by me, for items documented by Park Place as being caused by their own detailing and lot staff, and ultimately items later confirmed as non-issues. For example, they'd indicated the left front lights were wired incorrectly and inoperable, and needed to be repaired - but upon picking up the car I easily confirmed otherwise. They'd proposed thousands in service expense to address a 65+ year old vehicle dripping a little oil...really!!!! Sad to say these difficult issues, tactics and poor overall experience with Park Place aren't unique to me.... I would strongly suggest staying away and looking elsewhere to sell collectable vehicles read more

It's disappointing to post this, but our consignment experience with Park Place was unprofessional and a nightmare. Trust the reviews--over 30 members of the Seattle car community have shared their terrible experiences working with Park Place, both as clients and employees. We consigned a Lamborghini Aventador SV with them. During the contract signing, they rushed through the details, telling us, "We'll take care of it, trust us." They promptly took the car, uploaded photos, and handled paperwork. After a month with no sale and no communication, we requested to withdraw our vehicle. Suddenly, we were told there was a "deal in the works," which dragged on for over a week with no follow-up. They claimed it was a multi-car deal and difficult to get trade-in values on out-of-state cars. This was surprising, as trading in out-of-state cars usually takes less than two days. Dealerships we consulted confirmed that Park Place was likely stalling. When we again asked to pull our car, we were told by Chris Lowell, the head of consignment, that breaking the contract would require ~$30k in compensation for the potential commission. Over the next week, we contacted them multiple times, visited in person, and tried to speak with the General Manager, Ryan Vanderwel, but were repeatedly told he was unavailable. Our lawyers reviewed the contract and confirmed that it didn't prevent us from selling the car privately or reclaiming it. With a private buyer lined up, we sold the car and went to Park Place to retrieve it. Chris was unprofessional, demanding $15k to break the contract, a number he admitted was made up. He refused to explain the contract's ambiguous terms and insisted on keeping the car unless we paid. When we finally confronted Ryan, he backed Chris, saying Chris had the authority to demand any amount to break the contract. Ryan suggested legal action if we disagreed. Despite our multiple communications, Ryan claimed we never informed them about withdrawing the car. In the end, they lowered the demand to $12,500 to terminate the contract. The supposed buyer never materialized, and no deposit was ever placed. If you're considering consigning your car with them, stay away. Numerous community members have shared similar experiences with Park Place's dishonest practices. Their business is declining for a reason--they're driven by money, not a passion for cars. As a business owner myself, I am very careful and rarely post any negative reviews online as I am aware of the damages they can cause to a business, but I couldn't help but share my bad experience and how extremely disappointed I am with the way Park Place LTD handled my recent experience and wasted my time and money. I had been working with Drake and Ryan for nearly two weeks on a car I was very serious about purchasing. I scheduled a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) and even offered to put down a deposit early on, but I was told it wasn't necessary and never received any payment instructions. Despite my clear commitment--including paying for a PPI, booking a $600+ flight to Boise, ID, and actively communicating throughout the process--I was strung along and ultimately shut out of the deal. Last night, after not receiving an answer from them for a simple delivery question I had, I noticed the car was listed as "sold" and was "suddenly" removed from their website and other platforms, which seemed kinda odd, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they seemed like a reputable place with many positive reviews. This morning, when I called to finalize the purchase with Drake, he did not answer and then called me back, trying to talk me out of the deal, claiming the consigner wouldn't accept the down payment in the form we previously agreed upon. I immediately offered to change the payment method so we could proceed with the deal as planned, but I was brushed off by saying that he would "check and get back to me." After not hearing back from Drake, I called Ryan, who mentioned that I needed to put in a deposit to hold the car and fill out a credit application. I agreed and then immediately went and did exactly as I was told. I filled out an application and requested the wire info so I could send the deposit (this is the second time, yeah?). I called both Drake and Ryan (needless to say, I wasn't answered), and then, lo and behold, I received a text from Ryan saying the car had just sold. This happened AN HOUR after I talked to him and was instructed to fill out a credit application and send a deposit to hold the car. So you want to tell me that it really takes an hour to enter a dealership, see a 250k car, wire a deposit, and work out a trade on your vehicle? Come on.. Let's be real; they had already sold the car to another buyer prior, and they just kept me as a backup if this deal fell through. Instead of being upfront and honest about it, they made me waste my time and money while misleading me about the car's availability in the last two days. This kind of behavior is exactly why I prefer to avoid dealing with dealerships, buy directly from enthusiasts and why dealerships get such a bad reputation. Any serious buyer who invested time and money into making this purchase happen should be treated with honesty and transparency. Instead, I was given the runaround, had calls ignored, and was left scrambling for answers. At the very least, I should have been informed that there was another buyer who was finalizing the deal so I could make an informed decision and act faster, which never happened despite my repeated requests from them to do so, so I wouldn't waste my time and money. This experience has been frustrating, costly, and completely avoidable. I was left without a car, lost the money spent on the PPI, and had to forfeit my flight, all costing me over $1,600 plus the time wasted in a span of two weeks. I was genuinely excited and looking forward to working with Park Place LTD, but after this, I will never do business here again--and I'll be sure to warn my fellow enthusiasts and colleagues to do the same. read more

A Real Person and TRUE review. This place is great! Honest, helpful and I have purchased several vehicles from here and NEVER had a issue. People need to be realistic when purchasing a used vehicle. Things happen, things break but is it your fault or just it was time for that repair. Park Place buys quality vehicles and sell top line products. I am ashamed to say I looked at another dealership and it was a horrible experience. I was just trying to get quality for cheap. You get what you pay for. Learned my lesson. I was looking at purchasing a few cars until I realized these guys are not 100% truthful on the website. The AUDI R8 RWS cars they show are both from Canada. They tell buyers that MSRP is $163XXX but fail to mention that's the Canadian $$ price, making them look like a better value. Then go on to state, "there were only 320 made for the US market", which also leads possible customers to believe these are US cars. They need to disclose that these are Canadian cars, because believe it or not, there are differences. From factory warranties, to recalls, parts, and other differences that may or may not impact the resale value of these cars. Perhaps pointing out the gray-market value and not trying to over hype the actual value would be in your best interest. Unless you are going to sell these for $144K and $139K Canadian which is $106K-$102K USD... Waited a few days to post this but they never replied to my customer service email off the website. Let me start this review for those wanting the quick read. I was buying my first exotic car and not only did it go smoothly it was one of the best buying experiences I have had buying any car and I have bought 30+ cars. Now for those willing to read a little further. I initially called Park Place to ask about an Audi they had gotten in. Unfortunately, when I called they had advised me the vehicle already had been spoken for, but they will keep an eye out for something similar. This was my first experience talking with David Khazai. A few weeks went by and I was occasionally looking at their website for new vehicle inventory. I was lucky enough to stumble on newly taken in Aston Martin (my all time dream car). I called and asked if David was in, but he wasn't in until later. The gentleman I spoke to said he didn't know much about the vehicle, but he will let David know I called. Well, a couple hours later David called me back and let me know the vehicle had just been taken in and was in service for inspection and a few other things. He let me know it was going to be next week before I could come look at it, but feel free to stop by and look at some of their other inventory or just to meet each other until it was ready. I took him up on his offer and came down the next day. I was able to meet David in person and as on the phone he is very courteous and helpful with the process and purchasing a vehicle from Park Place. A couple days had passed and David let me know the car was available to come look at in person and if everything looked good we could move forward with the deal. I came down that evening and as planned we went to look over the vehicle and I was in awe. It was absolutely gorgeous and hadn't even been detailed yet. After looking over the vehicle David introduced me to the head Aston Martin Mechanic Vincent. He went over a few things with me and offered to answer any of my questions in the future. After we went back to Davids office to discuss the price and deal. We were able to negotiate a fair deal for both parties in my opinion (I use to be in the auto industry). The vehicle still needed to be detailed and the last few service items addressed before I could pickup the vehicle. I came down the next day to sign the paperwork and I must say the Finance Manager Victor was awesome. Laid back with a great since of humor and made the whole paperwork experience easy and enjoyable (this use to be the worst part about buying a car in my opinion). Not only did he make it easy he found a better rate than I could and as I was saying I use to be in the business. Afterwords David kept in contact with me during the one of the longest weeks of my life. I called him many times, but I just had to be patient. Well as Friday rolled around I asked if at all possible I could get my vehicle. David said it's not looking like it, but he will do his best and his best was done. I was able to pick up my new to me Aston Martin Vantage. The vehicle was presented to me that Friday looking amazing and with no issues. I now catch myself walking to the garage just to look inside at my new car and that is something I haven't done in the past. Nightmare... I bought a Superformance Cobra (not from Park Place) in September 2020. Hillbank (the main dealer for them) did some work in Scottsdale and then I drove it home to WA. $10k in misc work at Park Place had me scratching my head, then the clutch went out. That was $6k because they removed the engine and transmission. I later found out from someone experienced on those cars that wasn't necessary. Apparently the clutch is accessible through the tunnel and should have been a $2k job. It doesn't end there. I took the car back and was driving it. It had started spraying coolant everywhere. Turned out the radiator was cracked. Park Place claimed it had been that way. It hadn't. $3k for a new radiator. That took months and I had to chase them to get it installed. I dropped the car off in April 2021. At that point I was so fed up that when a Park Place consignment guy mentioned he'd be interested in selling it, I said sure! Then Park Place "finds" another $2k bill they'd forgotten about. Yay. Car finally gets consigned 6/14/21 when they get the radiator together (two months after I dropped the car off!). Car goes on consignment and salesperson assures me they have plenty of interested buyers. It then sits for a month. No activity. The car was only listed on their site, not any of the common car sites, Cobra forums, etc. Fed up with this, I ask for the car back. Nope. Consignment term is 3 months and can't be shortened. I asked Chris, the manager if he'd make an exception. He said no. I asked if he really wanted to burn bridges with me. He told me the bridge was already burned, so there was nothing to salvage with me. Today, 9/14/21 I finally got the car back. Bryan, the sales guy suggested that I speak with Doug in service about the out of control ($10k!) clutch bill. Doug told me to go pound sand. Their classic car guy is named Adam. Apparently there used to be a competent guy but he left and Adam took over. He has no idea what he's doing. In the words of one Cobra forum member: "I wouldn't take my lawnmower to Park Place." I think the entire company is rotten. I dealt with them a decade ago consigning a Lotus and they were fine. This was miserable. +1 on not trusting them with lawnmowers. Stay away. read more

They sold my car -- the good news -- but the process was incredibly sloppy. They first posted stock photos of a different year and model, instead of shots of my actual car, then when they uploaded the right photos, they left the wrong ones on the site. The sales guy took no responsibility; threw the marketing folks under the bus. They also failed to mail my "payday" check as we'd agreed. I had to drive to B'vue to pick it up.
