If you're a curly haired asian girl like me, Tina is the best! After many failed haircuts throughout my life she's the only one I trust to cut my hair. I've been to her 5 times now and have been happy with her work everytime.

I took my daughter to this place and I expected they would do not good job, My daughters hair came out horrible! This salon cost me too much money! ($350). I don't like my daughter hair only 2 weeks it looks very ugly , don't come this shop

We have been coming to this parlor for our hair for the last ten years. My daughter's aesthetician Suzie at the Green house spa in Birmingham recommended it. My Korean hairstylist from Madison also comes here. They take appointments. Stay busy on Saturday. Have adequate parking. Easy to find off Pleasant Hill 104 exit on I 85N. Not very talkative, you literally have to show him a picture and they make it just like that. My stylist Kelly did speak a few phrases like: Is this virgin curl? You want layers. You want smooth or just wavy? She literally snipped a hundred odd hairs off my hair and just round brushed it with a flip at the end adding more body. Took my key unlocked my locker, presented my purse and thanked me. It was the same for me and my daughter! She has longer hair and needed more time but I guess it evened our!

Kuki damage, after: hairline one inch+ higher than it was before I entered salon. Scalp damage appeared in days following.

Chemical burns causing permanent hair loss Kuki (Cookie) at Park Jun had colored my hair once before in 2014. She did a beautiful job, but I wasn't surprised because my plastic surgeon had recommended her. I only went once because I am fearful of spending money on anything that is not essential since losing a well-compensated position in 2004. Fast forward to August 2018. I made an appointment with Kuki and brought in a picture of the light brown color I wanted to color the gray (for job interviews). I asked her please not to allow any red tones because red clothes make me look dreadful. She then intentionally chemically burned my scalp by using 100%, instead of 20%, peroxide for the dye. The current strands are destroyed, of course, but of more concern is that the chemical burns mean that my hair may never grow again: Chemical treatments burn the scalp causing hair follicle to shrink and grow thinner hair and if a scar forms over the hair follicle the hair will not grow at all. Chemical hair treatments dry out the scalp, causing hair follicles to overproduce sebum and become clogged with oil and dead skin cells The chemicals in hair treatments are known toxic hormonal disruptors that can accelerate hair loss due to aging. "As scar tissue was generated, no hair growth remained in the corroded area." (Acta Dermato-Venereologica Medical Journal, Volume 86, Issue 5) As a little bonus, the dye she applied was dark red. The dermatologist, whom I see today and tomorrow, will determine what degree the burns are. Burns such as these cause permanent hair loss. How she did it: I have only had my hair colored three times in 63 years. Two of those were with Kuki (2014 and this visit). This means that I am not familiar with how it is done. When I saw that the color Kuki applied to my hair on 8/18/2018 was red, I immediately asked if that was correct. This was the first of nine times that I asked if the color should be red. She said, "no, it [is] 'brown you bring' [meaning the picture]." She said "you can't make hair brown without red. It [would] be green if you did." She also said the red color "was from the [salon] lights. You see color when you outside." Two other times: She pretended to pull hair from under the plastic cap and "showed" me her gloves, which were empty. She said, "see, the ends of the hair brown." There was nothing in the gloves. I did not stop the process because I trusted her. I do not look for malice in other persons and obviously do not see it when it is there. I also knew what a beautiful job she had done in 2014 and how much the plastic surgeon thought of her and her work. It never entered my mind that anything was wrong other than the color. I do not know how long processing should take or what should be used for it. I never imagined that she had used 100%, instead of 20%, peroxide for the dye and was allowing my scalp to suffer 2nd- or 3rd-degree burns, which cause irreversible hair loss. After she rinsed my hair, it was obvious that most of my hair was gone. What was left did not cover my scalp. The scalp started to burn after I posted the initial pictures to this review. When I posted the pictures, I thought the only damage was the lost hair and to the remaining hair. When I was leaving, I was so upset that I was unable to speak much. In the midst of a panic attack, I asked her if I could apply a brown rinse to my hair. I did not know then that my hair, and far worse, my scalp, were irredeemable. About the hair rinse, she smiled and said "no because you [your] hair shaft is very, very thin now. You wait two months." At first, I thought Kuki had made a series of profound, catastrophic errors. But now I realize that it was intentional, since I asked her nine times if the red was correct, thinking then that the color was important. Two of those times were while the dye was "setting." She did not "forget" that I was in the salon with plastic-covered 100% peroxide dye on my scalp. In fact, she was in the lobby area waiting for me when I arrived early for my appointment. I thought that was odd but did not know if that was now normally done. Little did I know or imagine that my hair loss would be permanent through the scalp being chemically burned. When I saw another hairdresser four days later, she said the only way my scalp and hair could have been damaged to this extent was if 100% peroxide had been used instead of the 20% that should have been used. She said no [hairdresser] could do anything for the remaining hair for at least two months if not longer. Please, save yourself, and go somewhere where severely mentally unstable hairdressers are not allowed. Please don't let what happened to me, a harm that will be permanent, happen to you. Thank you.

I am an Asian American who always goes to Asian places to get my hair cut. It's hard for me to describe how I want my hair, and I want to be slightly open to the hairstylist's discretion on what might be a better take on it. It's been hard to find the right places for this, but usually Korean hairstylists can figure it out, especially ones that are from Korea or have largely Korean clientele. Like other reviewers have said, my hairstylist also could not speak English too well, but I trusted her judgment, and she asked me some questions to get a sense of what I wanted. She did a great job and was extremely meticulous. For example, she compared my sideburns for the longest time to get them cut at the right length, and she asked if I'd cut my hair myself previously; apparently my sideburns were unevenly cut. Another reviewer had said they rushed a haircut at the end of the day. I had gone in the middle of the day, so I can't speak to that. Perhaps it's safer to go when they're not as busy, but I was able to walk in without an appointment and get seated for my haircut relatively soon. And it was one of the longest haircuts I'd had in a while. I'm taking off a star because the price is a bit steep. Park Jun's is a chain from Seoul, and it employs fashionable hairstylists who know what they're doing. I was willing to pay the price because I'm not from the area, but if I were, I'd feel somewhat confident about finding a cheaper, comparable place. After all, in Houston, I'd gotten satisfactory, awesome haircuts from a very kind ahjumma running her own shop; I'm sure you could find a similar, better deal in Atlanta, with its much greater Korean population. IMO Park Jun's is a relatively safe place to try and get a good haircut if you need an Asian haircut.

It's been about 2.5 weeks since I visited this establishment, and I still can't look at myself in the mirror and comprehend what had happened. The fact that this salon hired someone who doesn't know how to touch people's hair is beyond me. I went to get color/cut and came out with striped colors(uneven hair color doesn't even begin to describe) and jagged hair cut that is different length on either sides. The color (he kept recommending how I should go for ombré of ash brown), he somehow applied stripes on one side of my hair without even informing me. He did this while I was under the heater so I couldn't see what he was doing since I wasn't in front of the mirror. He later told me he was giving me an "accent"/"edgy" look to my color. To my horror I realized after they shampooed my hair, I had a raccoon stripes on one side of my hair. I knew something was up when other stylists were looking over, smirking and whispering to each other. What's terribly wrong is that NONE OF THEM stepped forward to stop this dude. I left the salon feeling stupid. The next day I went back and demanded to fix my hair. AGAIN they assigned me to the same guy(and that's my stupidity for letting them do that, I really thought that he would fix it) only to realize that it became bad to worst. He attempted to color my hair, which accented more highlights to my stripes and he started cutting my hair in layers, which I did not ask for. I started complaining to the manager and at this point I broke down crying, because my hair is now fried beyond repair and the damage was done. The guy kept apologizing but I know I can't go back to where I was at this point. the manager profusely apologized and asked if she can have other stylist at least cut my hair straight. They cut it as best as hey could but the color still remains. They said they don't usually say or intervene other stylists unless the client says something about it. I cal that BS because I had no idea what this guy was doing until the damage was done. Do yourself a favor. If you treasure your hair, DO NOT go here. They didn't even have a decency to return my money. Worst mistake and I only have myself to blame. But I'm writing this review to save potential clients to save your money and save your hair. Hope this review helped. And I hope the salon made sure there was a consequences to this experience, especially to the stylist who touched my hair. It's the guy with pretentious tattoos on his arms and wanna be hipster. Stay away.

I chose this salon as my place to get my first perm done. My stylist was Min. He and another female…read moreworker were nice and answered all of my questions well. I was just really curious on what happens. It wound up taking ~4 hours where I got my hair washed, cut, primed, bathed in solvent, and then curled with the little rollers. I definitely felt cared for, but 4 hours is def a long time. I brought a book and phone charger in case I was bored. The salon inside, however, is extremely cold. I think it was like 62 degrees inside, and I got my perm done in the summer when it was hot (and I still felt that it was freezing). There's a bunch of stylists inside and people who help prepare the clients. For a digital perm, it was ~$200, and if you pay with cash, you can avoid the 3% credit card fee. They also do a traditional booking system where you call them and you get written down for an appointment on a paper book. Overall, I loved how my hair turned out. It was very luscious and soft, but I wish when I made the appointment, maybe there could have been guidelines of what not to do leading up to the appointment, same with post hair care especially for new timers. I wound up using a notes app of how to care for it. I wish I had more curls in my hair, but now I know for next time and how to ask for it to be styled. Great experience generally! This place is located inside of a busy plaza with lots to do, so if you're ever waiting on someone here, you can go to Teso or get boba/food/coffee -- any type of idle shopping!

WORST HAIRCUT EVER…read more Cindy cut my hair way too short. I asked for 2 inches, at most 2.5 inches off. I walked out with 4 inches off my length and I cried in my car after leaving. I wore my glasses today so I had to take them off during my haircut so I was unable to see but how did TWO INCHES turn to FOUR?!? My long hair that was close to my bottom is now up above mid back. I kept emphasizing I want to keep my hair LONG. Be firm on your boundaries and what you want. I usually get my haircut once a year and now this makes me never want to even cut my hair ever again. How hard is it to just listen to what the client want?! I haven't had hair this short since grade school. I've never felt so ugly and I hated that I had to pretend this was ok. Currently looking up hair extensions now. So disappointed.
