Chicken lemon rice was over cooked and mushy. No plastic ware or napkins with carryout. Wrap was good.

At Coriander, you might do a double take and wonder if you're actually in Detroit. I visited…read morerecently for a special event and was charmed at the location on the water, at the whimsical decor, and the social media-ready presentation of the food. I never knew about the canal district of Detroit, but the vibe feels like a vacation in Florida instead of the middle of the Midwest. Coriander ups that vacation vibe with bright paint, plenty of outdoor seating, and beautiful decor. All of our food tastes so fresh, and I loved the additions of things like edible flowers on the yogurt that we had with our parfaits. Service was appropriately attentive for a large group, and it never felt intrusive into our private event. I'll look forward to coming back sometime soon for another afternoon that feels miles away from everyday life!

Reserved an inside patio table for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Parking in the lot and up and down…read morethe little street was full. We ended up barely squeezing into a circle space over the canal bridge and hoofing it on over to the space. The restaurant was cavernous, near full of patrons, and very loud. Our kind, young server had difficulty hearing our requests over the din. My companion enjoyed the Burnt Lemonade mocktail. I tried a glass of "Left Foot Charlie Blaufrankish" red wine. Not recommended. it was a $16, five ounce(?!) pour that tasted like sour, dark cherry vinaigrette. I ordered the Grilled Walleye. It was beautifully plated aside the cucumber salad and quinoa serving, but it tasted near flavorless, and lacked seasoning. Unfortunate at a $35 price point. My companion was disappointed in the overly-salted Pork Kapow dish he had ordered as well. We did agree however, the Chocolate Tahini Brownie was interesting, fudge-like in texture, and something to try for chocolate-lovers. Maybe it was an off day for the chef, and maybe the beverage manager left the wine opened for too long, but our experience was less than stellar today. It's a righteous concept placed in an area steeped in history and uniqueness, but the food in particular still had to hit the mark.

Wow!! What a super fun spot! I absolutely loved the ambiance here! Any one that knows me knows I…read moreabsolutely love love love disco!!! The inside has a dance floor and bar. You can then head outside and either go up to the roof, or down to the back garden patio. We chose to go up to the roof. There is seating up there, or several chair rails. We loved the glass ceiling!! You could look down inside! Super fun! We only stayed for a couple of drinks. We loved the vibe and absolutely would come back. Super fun!!!

I've been going since they opened…read moreand I really appreciate that they continue to evolve and improve on what was already a good base. They recently built a rooftop patio and man, the view alone is worth the cost of admission... Except there is no cover for any nights (so far)! Their drink menu is primarily inventive amaro-forward cocktails, but don't worry, you can also just get a beer or a vodka soda or a wine, or whatever your pleasure is. There is also non-alcoholic selection. The crowd is diverse, all are welcome. Lots of youngins but also a fair amount of people that maybe grew up when Disco was contemporary. I say this because, no one should feel intimidated about coming here for whatever reason. I know some people don't want to come to a dance club for whatever reason but the are plenty of seats and spots where you can just stand and sway if you want but, it also has one of the best dance floors in Detroit if you want to really get down! They are now mostly just open Fridays and Saturdays, I think from 6 or 7pm to 1am and I've gone early, late, middle, and the crowd ebbs and flows so, that's a bonus too: you could go early and have a fun time and still get home at a decent hour or shut it down. The music is primarily 70s disco but it dips into 80s/90s/2000s. Most times, the music is playing and the analog TVs around are showing the original videos which is fun just to watch those too. The staff is excellent and inviting. Just a great spot and I'm looking forward to many more fun nights there!

Lenny's is awesome! Dive bar feels, pool table, sassy bartender... check, check, check!…read more Built like a local watering hole you would find around old Detroit, Lenny's would be my go to if I lived closer. Great cocktail list, knowledgeable bartenders who can make just about anything, and great happy hour. Plus pool. If they had a cork dartboard I would move in next door. This was just a great experience and 100% stop here whenever I'm in the area.

Unfortunately, we were basically ignored when trying to get a drink\. This is actually the **second time I've had an issue with Chris ignoring us when we're trying to order**\. On top of that, after he served us one drink, he told us "y'all had enough," which felt really dismissive and unnecessary\. Being made to feel like you're not worth serving is frustrating, especially when you're simply trying to order something and enjoy your time with friends\. I also left feeling like he may not like my kind, in my opinion, based on how we were treated\. I understand that bars can get busy, but there's a difference between being busy and completely ignoring customers or speaking to them that way\. After this happening more than once, I don't think I'll be coming back ge turning down money the I honestly feel like the bar could make more money without Chris there--he's turning away customers and money by the way people are being treated\.
