It was heated which was an added bonus since it was only 60° We really appreciated the kiddie pool which was nice for the kindergarten tikes that were there. The day we were there, plenty of seats near pool. Amenities here are: bathrooms, showers, lockers (bring small lock), sandpit, safety vest, concessions stands. Cost is located on the website but can access summer family pass. I would give the facility 4 stars. Downsides here are inconsistency with time alloted and aggressive birds. They rushed the kids out. Once designated cabana time was over ...a manager said the kids had to leave or for pay the daily fee for the 1 remaining hour. This seemed so odd. It really made no sense. If you only have cabana for 2 hours and the kids are going to eat...then really deducts from actual pool time. Especially when we made kids wait after eating. We really felt that the staff wanted to leave early. The manager onsite that rushed us out was named Lindsey. I really encourage the city to look into this ...as there was not many families at the pool park at the time and it felt like the staff just really wanted to go early. If the kids can only swim during the alloted cabana time then may as well just go to a restaurant. Also the birds are extremely aggressive. They attacked three different people in our party. I mean they flew directly into my sister-in-law face. One bird flew into my hair and I saw another swope close to the face of a child. Not sure what the pool can do but be aware of this. I would come back here. If I pay the daily fee then would be no debate as to how long I can swim. All in all a nice pool. Plenty of parking and next to a skate park.

When I still had my kids living at my house, we used to purchase season passes to Cypress Cove…read moreevery year. Everyone in my family loved the place. As my kids got older and went through high school, we stopped buying the passes because they weren't interested in going to Cypress Cove on a regular basis anymore. So, I hadn't been there in years. In July 2024, my wife and I decided to entertain some younger relatives by taking them to the waterpark. Low and behold, the water was so cold that nobody could stand it. The kids' lips were BLUE, they shivered uncontrollably, and they struggled to have any fun. They didn't even want to stay after only a few minutes. You KNOW something is wrong if young kids want to quickly leave a waterpark on a beautiful, hot summer day! We asked the Cypress Cove staff about the shockingly cold water and they revealed that ever since COVID, the park stopped heating the water in order to save money. They flat out don't operate the water heating system anymore, it's been deliberately mothballed. Say what? What kind of water park doesn't heat the water? That's totally unacceptable and I've never experienced such a thing - EVER. Every water park or public pool that I've ever been to in my 50+ years of life has heated the water so that it's comfortable. My family won't even consider returning to Cypress Cove until we hear that they've resumed heating the water like normal. The only thing I can appreciate about the situation is that the Village of Woodridge, which operates Cypress Cove, is conscious of keeping its spending down for the taxpayers. But there are much more sensible things to cut from the city budget than heating the water at the town's water park. That's ridiculous.

There were 3 lifeguards in duty which was really nice and unexpected. The park also has outdoor volleyball ,tennis walking /bike path and plenty space for picnic or barbeque. The facilities are not so modernized but some times simplicity is best .The location is great ,we felt safe and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves no altercations great peaceful outing. We were given a family pass to swim for up 5 family members ,we will be back !
