My 3 children took swim lessons. Pros: the teachers and staff are all very nice and relate to kids well. They have a nice area where the kids can play/relax after class for a few minutes. They use the whole lane of the pool to teach which maximizes swim time. The teachers sometimes have them "group swim" instead of ONLY individual swim which maximizes swim time. They also are very prompt with starting and ending on time. Cons: the teachers they have are not consistent, and so they don't know your child's swim level, and the skills worked on that week is random (whatever the teacher wants to do), so there is a lack on consistency. I also wish there was an option for parents to sit inside the pool area instead of only the option to sit outside of the glass. Overall, I would go for another lesson, but wish for more consistency in skills learned each week. read more

Been taking my daughter to swim classes here for a couple of years. We were excited to graduate from the baby classes, which is 30 minutes of just getting the kids used to being in water and most of the instructors we had did not seem too engaged in the class. Once we got to the 3-5 classes, the instructors were great and my kids loved it. However, we had 2 weeks in a row where, first, my 3-year-old fell in the water and was picked up by another instructor who was walking around the pool. Then the next week, during the last 5 minutes of "play time," my 4-year-old slipped off the wall and was fully submerged and flailing in the water. The teacher (who is great) was with another child. I don't know how long my daughter was under water (it felt like forever), but it was long enough for all five parents watching to bang repeatedly on the class and yell for someone's attention, since the door to the pool is locked and we couldn't get in. Finally, an instructor walking around the pool noticed and grabbed my daughter. During both incidents, the "lifeguard" did not notice either girl and made no move to help either time. After the second incident, we removed my daughter's from the class. I spoke with the manager, Jackie, who was great, discussed how there is no way that should be happening, and offered a full refund. Then she had the supervisor, Marty, call me. He made the situation much worse by repeatedly discussing how young children don't listen by the pool and it causes unsafe situations. I agreed with him, acknowledging that my 3-year-old fell in due to not listening. But my 4-year-old is very nervous by the water and tends to be a very good listener. Despite mentioning this, Marty again discussed how children don't listen and cause an unsafe situation by continually jumping in the pool on the own. Even if my daughter was not listening, there should be no reason a child is fully submerged under the water with no one (especially the lifeguard) noticing until parents finally get their attention by banging on windows and yelling. Marty made the whole experience worse by his attempts to explain why the situation occurred and helped me feel more confident in my decision to transfer the girls to the new Foss swim school (which is also much bigger and cleaner). read more

I had a great experience with Max Aquatics during the summer swim camp. My 9 year old has emotional issues and it was really important to me that he learn how to swim. Long story short, he was struggling in the structured setting of typical swim lesson but the folks here were super accommodating (which included letting me join in with my son in our own lane) and as a result he ended up learning how to swim! Not only that, he loves swimming and was even learning how to dive. He has gained so much confidence of which he was totally lacking before. I just totally appreciate the warm and compassionate folks here and I want people to know about them and how great this place is. read more

What a clean and fun experience! We came during open swim, which was on a Friday from 1:00-3:00. Immediately upon entering we were promptly greeted by the receptionist Jackie. We were instructed where to go and quickly changed in the dressing rooms. Like any swim establishment, there are showers and lockers. The open swim was a ton of fun, they even put out all kinds of pool noodles. A lifeguard was on duty the entire time. My children had a blast, so we will return! read more

Classes have way too many children in them, and only one instructor. The instructor gives the minimum or sometimes no individual instruction. The facility is clean, but if they're going to have so many kids in the classes then you should have enough space for parents/kids to change. The locker room space is unbelievably small! People changing wherever they can find a small space (sometimes no space on benches), and only 3 changing tables. Also, people in street shoes should not be allowed to be by the pool. If you're still interested in signing your kid up for classes here, you should visit so you can see for yourself. I will be looking elsewhere for swim classes. read more

I am disappointed in what was supposed to be an enjoyable time with my family. Do not come here if you are a minority as you WILL BE DISCRIMINATED BY THE OWNER. TLDR: Racism, creepiness, rudeness, and overall an unenjoyable experience. The staff was friendly but the owner was discriminatory. The first couple of my times my family went here, it was a bit crowded, but they provided many swimming items, so it seemed like it was totally worth the price. As I became occupied, I decided to go with only a select few of family members to go early in the morning, when there was barely anyone around. The water was clean, the areas were sanitized and peaceful. However one morning, a man I assumed to be the owner questioned if we were actually a family due to our difference in race. We were very uncomfortable as we have been there quite a couple of times. We explained that we were related even though an explanation was not needed. Many times, we even caught him watching us multiple times throughout our lap swims, despite doing nothing but swimming and racing. Okay, not only is it creepy to stare continuously for an hour STRAIGHT, but to also assume and pick out we weren't the same race?! I assume we all know that you shouldn't discriminate people by their race? read more

Very clean, small class sizes (max 4 students right now), and wonderful instructors! Register right away, because classes fill FAST.

This place is nice to come swim at if you're a member during free swim, however, more than once we've been kicked out 20mins prior to the posted closing hours. They're usually 7-9pm or 8-9pm during the week and the kids working will come in at 8:30 saying you have ten minutes left to swim. That's just kind of ridiculous when you think about how much you have to pay a month for your membership, especially if you can't be there exactly at 8pm. I'm not sure if it's a rule that they have to be out by 9pm or what, but if so then either lengthen their shift or shorten your hours because it's kind of misleading. read more

If you are going to be just a member I guess it is ok, open swim it's kind of limited, Place is clean, water is heated at a comfortable temp, if you want to have classes that's whole different story, we originally went in for the beginner swimming classes for my two kids 13 and 17 they put one on adults and one with the kids, (my youngest started 2 weeks after... )the following week they change the day from Monday to Tuesday, the third week they changed the time from 6 to 7pm then my youngest was supposed to start his first class but there was no teacher (or any students) everyone was clueless of what had happened the best answer I got was comeback next week, at this point I realized they were super disorganized, it took me about a month to see an adult on the front desk, all the young guys/girls have been super nice and polite but they are just not informed about anything, we never had a straight answer about anything, to which as long as my kids have the classes we paid for I was willing to over look, but then one week we come to the class to find out they had started a new set of classes (fall) and we were told my kids didn't have more classes left which one needed two more and the other one needed three, then I explain the situation and they were in denial (off course no one knew anything again) but this time the one guy I believe to be one of the owners came out to talk to us, I figure ... "nice now we are getting to the bottom of this" wrong he turned out to be very condescending and seem bothered rather than apologetic after a couple of minutes of back and forth with 3 of their people at the same time they acted like they were doing me a favor and the guy walked away all upset about it, I just let it go and try to be civil about it, so we come back the following week for the class, I dropped off my kids on front to run in while I parked (we were a little late) when I come in I sat there to wait for them to finish I saw the guy saw me but didn't say anything, when done once in the car my kids tell me that as soon as they walked in he questioned them again about how many classes were left and saying we were lying about the number of classes left... He is an adult and cowardly confronted the kids without an adult present, just got home talked to my wife and we are canceling the membership, we have no need to deal with condescending people like him...... I have spoken to other parents in different occasions in an out of the pool and they seem to agree with the lack of organization and professionalism... which I guess it's okay if you just come on swipe your card swim and leave and nothing else... read more

I took an Aqua Aerobics class and Maureen made it so fun it didn't feel like I was exercising but it was a great workout without the boredom. The place is very clean and the people are friendly. I am taking a deep water jogging class next time and will continue to go to the Aqua Aerobics. read more

I have taken 2 of my kids here for summer lessons over the past couple years, and I absolutely love it. The class size is small, the facilities are clean, and the waiting area is comfortable. There is a large viewing window and a play area to entertain little ones while you wait. The best thing about the lessons is that the instructors work with the children at their individual level, noticing strengths and fears and pushing them just the right amount to give them confidence.
