This dealership actually cares and demonstrated this on levels that I will honestly never forget!!! Nothing makes a woman more nervous than buying a car (especially those of us who know next to nothing about cars), and when I fell in love with an SUV at this dealership, I was cautious and nervous. Bricil put me at ease and guided me through the process with so much kindness and sincerity, I feel like I made a new friend! I felt very secure in my trade-in, a very fair exchange price was offered and the team made sure to get me in the road quickly and in my dream car. But where Serpentini earns my loyalty, and should earn your business, was what transpired after. Without getting into specifics, an issue did arise that any other dealership would have shrugged off or dismissed. John, a manager within the sales department, rose to the occasion. His dedication to my safety and my concerns was unparalleled; honestly I'm still in utter disbelief at how well I was taken care of, what lengths he went for my needs as a customer, and wish I could do more than this review. Please, PLEASE do yourself a favor and buy from Serpentini if you want absolute peace of mind. This car is everything I have ever wanted, and I may have found it at another dealership, but what I would not have found was this incredible dedication to customer satisfaction. You won't, either. Go to Serpentini, look nowhere else, you will NOT regret it!

I was helped by Ashley, and I highly recommend her to anyone else looking to purchase a vehicle. Even though my appointment to view a car was at 7:30pm (half an hour before closing time!), I was warmly greeted, and at no point in time did I feel rushed, even though she had to stay at work longer because of me. I really appreciated Ashley's honesty when she didn't know an answer to a question. Love a person who can admit when they don't know something and then go find the person/resource with the knowledge! She made sure to get me the info I needed. Also, when I messaged her the day after my purchase because I noticed something that I had missed when initially viewing the car, she responded very swiftly and got me set up with service right away! Shoutout to her manager, Mark, John from Warranty, and David from Finance as well, who all helped make the purchasing process go smoothly~ Satisfied with my new car, and the service that I received!

This is an update regarding my experience with North Coast…read more I filed court proceedings regarding this matter, and it was ultimately resolved through mediation and settled out of court. I am sharing my experience so that other consumers can make informed decisions before purchasing a vehicle. Based on my experience, I encourage anyone considering doing business with North Coast to carefully review all documents before signing or initialing anything and to ask questions about any terms or disclosures they do not fully understand. Do not rely solely on verbal statements regarding a vehicle's condition, prior damage, inspection history, or information contained in third-party reports. Take the time to read every document thoroughly and ensure you understand what you are acknowledging before signing. In my case, I later learned the importance of carefully reviewing all paperwork, including documents that may state the dealership is not making representations regarding the vehicle or that information from third-party sources cannot be guaranteed. Once documents are signed, those signatures may later be cited as evidence that disclosures were acknowledged. Consumers should remember that state and federal laws provide protections against deceptive business practices and misrepresentations. However, one of the best protections is to carefully review all documents, ask questions, and seek clarification before completing a purchase. My dispute with North Coast was ultimately resolved through mediation and settled out of court. I am sharing this information solely to help others make informed purchasing decisions based on my experience. I may periodically update this review with factual information regarding my experience so that consumers can remain informed and better understand the importance of carefully reviewing all documents before completing a vehicle purchase.

As far as vandevere goes, that's completely false.

When the dealership contacted me, I made it explicitly clear that I would only proceed if the trade-in value matched the original offer. I was assured multiple times via text that the number was fair and could be honored, pending inspection of the vehicle. That condition was completely reasonable. I arrived at the dealership fully prepared to complete the transaction at the agreed-upon value. The vehicle was accurately represented in my trade description and passed inspection as described. Despite this, the dealership significantly lowered the offer once I was on-site. I was told that online estimators sometimes struggle to reflect true market value, and I was shown Kelley Blue Book figures as justification. If the dealership had concerns about honoring the initial offer, that should have been communicated before I made the trip -- not after I arrived expecting the agreed-upon number. This experience reflects a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Transparency and integrity are fundamental in business, especially when customers make decisions based on written confirmations. Had the dealership been upfront from the beginning, this situation could have been avoided. I encourage future customers to get firm, written confirmation of all numbers and to approach trade-in negotiations here with caution. This type of practice is disappointing and unacceptable in today's marketplace.

My Marhofer experience started with their Service department when I brought in my 2017 Volt LT (purchased from a used lot back in 2020) for routine service and software updates. Everyone was friendly and there was no upselling pressure for services I didn't need or ask for--a big relief. Fast forward a year and a half later when I decided I wanted to purchase a low-mileage Bolt EUV Premier I spotted on their website. I again felt no heavy pressure to buy from Brysyn, the young sales rep I worked with. The price on the vehicle was a no-haggle price, but it was fair, based on what I had seen elsewhere. The vehicle did have a chip in the windshield that happened in transit, but they replaced it. The car was perfect! Next came the Finance Department and I couldn't have been more pleased working with Holly, their finance manager. She was super! I was happy with the rate I got and the fact that she got it with my bank. She's smart, witty, and very thorough. My wife and son have both purchased cars from other Marhofer dealerships in the area and they were comfortable with their experiences. In my experience, this store operates like a typical high-volume, rigid "no-haggle" operation, where that policy seems to be used as a shield to avoid meeting even the most basic customer expectations. What stood out immediately was the lack of disclosure and the unwillingness to address obvious issues. The Ridgeline I test-drove had a broken center console lid. Something that should have been caught during inspection or reconditioning. This was never mentioned upfront. When I asked about it, I was told it was being sold strictly "as is" and would not be repaired. I was later told Honda might fix it under warranty, but the dealership still refused to have it taken in before the sale. I was expected to purchase the truck first and handle the repair myself. I also looked at a Tacoma on their lot and immediately noticed molding sticking out along the body. Again, no disclosure. These are issues visible within seconds, yet they were only addressed after I pointed them out. When I spoke with the sales manager about pricing, the experience was equally rigid. There was no willingness to discuss the out-the-door number in a meaningful way, even with visible defects present. The store also attempted to include a $600 "clear-coat finish" add-on that I did not want, and removing it required additional back-and-forth that shouldn't have been necessary. To be clear, my salesperson was polite and not the problem. The issue is the dealership's overall approach: lack of transparency, refusal to address basic repairs, an inflexible pricing structure, and add-ons that don't add value for the buyer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. Customers deserve open communication, proper vehicle inspection, and a fair pricing process, none of which matched what I encountered here.

We barely had time to eat the pizza we brought along before Joe was at the table telling us that our car was ready and waiting. In that 30 minutes however, I was dismayed by the behavior of two showroom employees. One, a mature woman with red hair, actually stopped and snorted at David and made a rude comment and the other, a tall youngish male with slightly long hair, spoke dismissively about a woman who apparently had been left waiting in the front because she had asked to see someone right away. :/ But Joe and the service department were amazing ! About a year and a half ago, I bought a vehicle from Great Lakes Honda in Akron OH. It was in great…read morecondition, and I got it for a good price, and had no issues. We needed another car, and I decided to try them again. I found a car I was interested in, but the web site said it was still being serviced. That was on a Wednesday. The following morning I got an email asking if I'd like to make an appointment to test drive it that day or the next. I explained that I was two hours away, and would try to make it there on Saturday. I made an appointment, and contacted them again on Saturday morning saying I would be a little later. She replied saying that was no problem. I got down there and told the receptionist I had an appointment with that person, and was told that the woman I was emailing was just a scheduler. They assigned me to a salesperson, who took an unusually long time to bring the car out. The first thing he did was open the trunk, and it was littered with coloring books, a women's purse, and other things. We got in the car, and my wife noticed a foot-long crack in the windshield. I started the car, and saw that the display screen was cracked on both edges, with the image only showing in the middle of the display. A warning light was on as well. I started moving through the lot slowly, and heard a metallic scraping from the right front wheel, and every imperfection in the parking lot caused loud thunking noises from the left rear suspension. As I accelerated on the street, there was a loud buzzing like the left rear tire was rubbing against the fender. I turned around after a half a block and returned to the dealership. The salesman asked if there was another car I might be interested in. There was another car, though with more miles than I wanted, that I might consider. Their website had said that was in detailing. After another long wait, the salesman returned to say the car wasn't even on the lot but was being serviced at another location. So my wife and I spent an hour at the dealership, four hours driving, and a tank of gas, for nothing. And the salesman let slip that the "woman" who invited me down and arranged the appointment was an A.I. bot. Why bother being inconvenienced by having an employee spend a minute or two emailing or texting a customer what the real situation is, when you can have an A.I. bot create an alternate reality and put five hours of inconvenience on the customer. Who cares about losing the customer and getting bad reviews, I guess. And to top it off, a sales manager texted me the following day to see how things went. He apologized, and asked what other car I was looking at. I then received a phone call from another salesperson, and a follow up text saying "I'm sorry to hear about your experience before. Hopefully I can make it better in the future... Once it's out of service, I'll let you know!" I continued to check the status of the car on their web site, but it still said it was in service. I finally put my contact info into the web site again, and then was told that it had been sold. I never heard back from the salesperson that it was out of service. Maybe the sales manager and other salesperson were A.I. bots, too.
