It is our absolute favorite spot for burgers. Like seriously, no other burger has been able to touch the flavor bomb in my mouth that I get at Barcelona. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring your food to your table. Everyone at the front counter is always cheery and welcoming and the wait for food is never long maybe five minutes. everything is fresh made right when you order it. the sweet potato fries are absolutely delicious. It's a low-key casual spot that has a beautiful outdoor seating in the back. Beautiful as in, very simplistic tables and chairs, but in a cute little garden like area that has sun shining in and plants. it's a cute little feel. Now these burgers, are delicious. We've only gotten the Barcelona burger and not tried other options because that one is so freaking good. The single has even more flavor than the double somehow because on the single patty, you can taste all of the additions: the Barcelona sauce, the tomato, the lettuce, and all of the flavors just explode. Their meat is tender. It's a thin patty and it's just delicious. If you're looking for a good, simple burger that's packed with flavor and you aren't looking for a gigantic hunk of meat, This is your spot. They do offer beer and bottled drinks and they also have desserts on site.

We came in on an unseasonably chilly May morning nursing a bit of a hangover. Krankies was delightfully warm with plenty of seating. I got the Hangover Cure biscuit, which had eggs, fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and gravy on the side. I also got a hot latte and then topped it off with a cinnamon roll. My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. Definitely worth the add. All in all, I think we spent $40, which feels reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. Definitely worth a stop in if you happen to be in the area.

Definitely enjoy the sandwiches and the fact that they are huge. Love the variety of craft coffee beverages. I would also suggest grabbing the wedges with the green sauce. When we first walked in, it was busy and we heard the hostess tell the couple in front of us they would need to wait over an hour for a table - Lucky for me my wife made reservations and we were seated immediately! It was a bit on the noisy side but not so bad we couldn't have a conversation. Our servers, Thomas, was fantastic start to finish with good recommendations, attentive service without being overbearing, and a great personality. Good staff make a business shine! We started with glasses of wine and were impressed with how generous they poured. Perhaps it was a visual illusion, but they felt like very large glasses of wine and made it feel like a very good value. They have a good selection of wines to choose from along with a full bar. Appetizer was the Crab Cake Egg Rolls, something I don't think I've seen anywhere else. They're cooked in Beef Tallow which gave a very savory flavor and crispy texture. They were a bit on the oily side but overall flavor was delicious, and I really liked the dipping sauce which was like a very herb-heavy tartar sauce. For entrees, my wife had the Filet and I had a New York Strip. I don't have the words to describe how delicious and perfectly prepared both of these were. I didn't even bother asking for steak sauce because the perfectly tender and seasoned steak didn't need it. Nobody wants to pay high prices for a steak and receive something low quality, and I was thrilled with the quality of the steaks here. Surrounding tables likewise had great looking meals and I overheard them voicing pleasure too. As sides go, the baked potatoes and salads were excellent too. I got the hot bacon vinegarette dressing and was surprised it was actually served quite hot. It had a really rich and slightly tangy flavor that was unique and I really enjoyed on my salad. I have no complaints here and will absolutely be back. Of course it's on the pricey end, but this is the type of establishment you reserve for a special night out, not your average Tuesday night. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

To be fair none of us ordered steak... at a steakhouse, so that could have been our issue. Our server was really friendly and attentive. We did have a small mishap and one friend's meal was forgotten and came out late, but the atmosphere was so pleasant and we were enjoying chatting so it was easy to overlook. Don't leave without ordering the cream corn. Just trust us.

It has an ample amount of food. We got Sautéed Shrimp, Guajillo Chicken, and Marinated Steak which had a ton of protein on each taco. The queso was loaded with Chorizo, too. To drink we got the Bloody Mermaid Water - Shark Week marg carafe with cute gummy sharks and grenadine blood that enhanced the strength. They even provided music to set the vibe. Everyone is super friendly from greater to wait staff. We had 3 different people checking on us. It did feel a bit rushed but I can see why as it got packed quickly. We came up on a perfect °75 degree night. So, the temp was perfect. Made a dash from Charlotte which was well worth the drive. The experience was great!

We opted for the patio, they've got a much bigger outdoor space than indoors, so we were fortunate it was nice weather. The waiter was attentive, quickly bringing waters, and checking to see if we wanted any other drinks. They seemed to have a decent menu, offering a variety of items, a good drink menu, and seemingly specials for every day of the week. I ended up ordered the fried chicken ACP, food didn't take long to come out. The food was ok, but honestly nothing great for the price. The portions seemed a bit on the small side. The fried chicken seemed to just be diced up chicken strips, not much of a culinary wonder. As a side note, chips and salsa are not included when you sit down like at many other Mexican restaurants Overall, we enjoyed our meal, but as i mentioned, it's pricey, with small portions, and the food (I had) was nothing wow. They do have a nice patio, so that's a plus, and the specials may make it a very value for your visit if you can take advantage of them.

Housed in a former Coca-Cola bottling plant, Grandpa Joe's pays homage to the site's history through its red and black décor. The menu offers salads, floats, and soft serve though pizza is the star attraction. It is served by the rectangular slab (about $8 per). Order at the counter, grab a number for your table, and wait for the oven to work its magic. For our first visit, my wife and I split a trio of slabs -- an Italian sausage, a mushroom, and a tomato and burrata -- with a side of marinara. All three were excellent. The focaccia crusts were crispy while still retaining airiness. From melty mozzarella to savory, fennel-forward sausage, Grandpa Joe's uses high-quality ingredients. The marinara was good: bright, fresh, and just a bit sweet. The mushroom slab came topped with arugula and shaved parmesan. Despite seeming like a gimmick (pizza? Salad? Why not both?), it proved an effective combination: the arugula's bitterness played well with the mushrooms' earthy flavors. There will be a certain type of pizza connoisseur for whom anything that isn't New York style is, by definition, fraudulent. For those with horizons broad enough to enjoy a thicker crust, Grandpa Joe's is the best of that kind that I've found in the Triad.

This does mean that there is a large outdoor courtyard where you can eat a pizza which is shared with other local businesses. It was busy, and I was concerned that I had erred by not ordering in advance, but my pizza was ready quickly. Like, remarkably quickly; I just ordered, hopped over to the bathroom, and it was done within a couple of minutes of being back. And when it's done properly, a Neapolitan pizza does not take very long to cook, so clearly the operation leading up to that point is efficient. Substantively, the menu has pizzas, a couple of salads, and some dessert options. I indulge in all of the above. The salad I got is quite impressive and is too much for one person at one time. It is an interesting mix of ingredients with nuts, blueberries, and apricot dressing. I am always a tad reluctant to order a white pizza because I like the tomato sauce so much, but the onions and mushrooms on the one I got were suitably mouthwatering. There was a bit of char on this pizza although I could have used more being the char fan that I am. Their version of tiramisu is a cake slice which is quite heavy on the sweet cheese. The vegan options are basically limited to getting a pizza without cheese, which I'm sure is some good bread and tomato sauce but not much of a meal; typical of most Italian places.
