As a whole my experience here was good, service was good, they weren't very busy but they were very timely with bringing out my food which is always appreciated. I have to say though I had a rib and brisket combo , it's probably the worst brisket I've had in a long time. When they brought it out they literally thrown the entire half rack of ribs on top of the brisket and they use the same barbecue sauce for both the ribs and the brisket. When they drowned it in the barbecue sauce which isn't even that good. They have four barbecues to choose from on the table which are all very good options but the barbecue sauce that they drowned the brisket in wasn't that great. I feel like it was very overdone, the brisket was very dense and kind of crumbled apart which obviously is not good for brisket lol. We were impressed with Matt our server who sat us told us the special and took our drink order with respect and great customer service. The food was delicious and choices abundant. This sits in between IHOP and Duffy's, and it has the same kind of service. It's a southern style almost fast food place. The servers are very nice but you don't see them too often. They take your food order and then you don't see them again. Ours, Matt, was very good. The last time I went was a much worse time. The food is hardy and southern, with lots of carbs. They have four different hot sauces, and sadly I was not a fan of any of them. But I liked that they tried. Their sides are garlic toast, coleslaw, potato salad, corn, and a few others. The porcamari was really surprisingly good. It is strips of pork fried. I also liked their decor with lots of random things to look at and a few TVs in the bar section. Bartender seem to be slow even though there was less than a dozen people in the restaurant. They had the black window shades pulled down so it was incredibly dark in the side booths, but no one seemed to mind when I opened up the shades a little bit. The booths had a few tears and tables were not completely cleaning. Menus were a little sticky. Things like that. It's a nice place, I think it would be very good for takeout. I know they do catering. I think that's a better option. I was not really a fan of the dining room. Plus I liked to eat my leftover pork with my own barbecue sauces, or even A1 sauce. We have been eating their ribs for years; they were always excellent. Unfortunately, in the last couple of years the quality was hit and miss. Convenient located close to the highway, also conveniently located to where I was this evening. Easy to find location from the road. The inside decor has that barbecue restaurant feel. With all the wood planks on the wall everywhere. Instead of putting bread on the table they're a little more creative and they put a small jar of pickles on the table. These pickles are very interested as somewhat across of a sweet pickle and a hot pickle. The service was pretty quick the server came quick and regularly. Food also came out fairly quick and didn't feel like it's been in a window or a hot plate all day waiting for somebody to order it. That six different sauces on the table from extremely hot to mild all the way down to Sweet. I got the pork NATO sandwich. It was pulled pork jalapeno and something else and something else. The jalapenos were actually the hot kind it has eaten it I thought the hot sauce I used drips all the way through the burger till I realized it had jalapenos. The brisket or what I called the "brisket soup" soaked in BBQ sauce was awful. The manager said "this location soaked their brisket in sauce all day so it doesn't dry out". That was a direct quote. The waitress was elderly so I do give a little slack but she didn't know the menu at all and blamed kitchen for all the issues. I haven't ordered anything from Park Ave since I was a pescatarian; thus, I'd only ever had their catfish before. My mom always orders a pulled pork sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised to peruse the menu and find several fun-sounding sandwiches: Lebron, Dem Publican, Adam & Eve..., Dean's Way, Zac-N-Cheese and Porknado. What to choose?! I wanted to see pictures of the sandwiches, but the Park Ave menu doesn't show these, until you get to the ordering form online. Finally, I landed on the Zac-N-Cheese: pulled pork, mac-n-cheese, bacon and american cheese. This came on sliced bread with grill stripes on it. It was delicious! The bread was oversized, and the sandwich was fairly substantial for a souped up grilled cheese. I did find a giant piece of fat inside (see pic) which was unappealing. I ordered my kids a child size hamburger meal. For $5, a pretty adult-size, normal looking hamburger came and the side that came with it was also adult-sized. Very reasonable! I misunderstood what 'grilled corn' was; it's not corn on the cob! Instead, it is smoky, charred corn kernels. My side of collard greens was very flavorful. It is definitely not vegetarian! Ordering was simple, with a breezy 20 minute pickup time. The pickup parking spots were well marked, with the side door clearly marked right in front of it. Ordered the baby back ribs combo with pulled pork, and the sides were French fries and Mac and cheese. The baby back ribs were really flavorful and cooked to perfection but the pulled pork taste horrible and the preparation of the pulled pork doesn't seem to be done properly, French fries were good and crispy but the Mac and cheese was ice cold and hard. It was a slow Sunday and I stopped in on my way over to the Gulf Coast via Jupiter Fl. The server was attentive and somewhat friendly. I ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket Platter. The beef was perfectly tender and was a very Generous portion, the Fries were hot but tasted dry. The Coleslaw here is still awesome. The garlic Texas Toast was an afterthought at best. So far they were batting about 80 percent. One aspect I really liked 22 years later was that I could pay my check with a QR Reader on my iPhone. I was up in Jupiter to visit a good friend and she suggested we go here since it is really close to her house. I am normally not a huge BBQ fan, but this place was pretty good. The pickles they give you are a cross between sweet and spicy, and I found them to be pretty good, considering I hate sweet pickles. I got the pulled pork platter and it was a pretty good amount of food. My friend got a sandwich and I thought that it was a sad sandwich because there wasn't much to it at all. We walked into the restaurant with no greeting and sat ourselves. A server came by and placed menus on the table, but said nothing to us. The same server came back and greeted us with "sorry" and asked what we wanted to drink. A different server came by and we were formally greeted. I ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer(the sauce they served tasted like a chipotle mayonnaise and maple syrup, yuck) The pickles never touched the table until the entrée was served. For an entrée I ordered a full rack of back ribs with onion rings and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was not fresh. It was scooped out a container, microwaved, and cold in the middle...The ribs were small and dry with no flavor. The sauce selection was limited to a tangy mild bbq sauce, mustard based sauce or spicy sauces. The onions rings were either burnt or raw. This is the second time I have ordered take out from this location and they gave my food to another person and REFUSED to remake my order for me because they claimed they gave it to the intended individual. The first time this happened, I chalked it up to an awful staff member who didn't handle the situation appropriately. Now I am realizing they just don't care about their own customer service at all. Got some lunch take out today and wasn't impressed. The beans were 60% bean juice and 40% beans, the coleslaw tasted old and my ribs were very over cooked. What happened to the Tx Toast. Visiting family and hungry after watching my nieces play softball at the community center right down the road, we opted for lunch here and was glad we went! Our server was very nice and attentive - quite accommodating... I ordered the corn fritters for the table to share - we got all the yummy toppings (honey, maple syrup and powdered sugar) on the side so everyone could taste however they liked.... I had the brisket sandwich with slaw....I had no idea it was doused in the barbecue sauce already and the server got me a fresh bun....I was grateful for that so I could eat less sauce and still enjoy the sandwich. The only thing is, the meat was a little dry. Flavor was there, slaw was tasty, corn fritters cooked well.... just a little dry on the meat. This place deserves high marks. Stopped by chance for quick lunch off I-95. The free table marinated sweet n spicy pickles were killer good!!! I had the Adam and Eve sandwich; boneless rib meat with sautéed onions and cheese. It was excellent. Grilled corn off the Cobb was a nice side. My meal mate had the pulled pork platter. Huge portion of pulled pork that was moist and yummy. His sides of Mac cheese and potato salad was good too. He said the potato salad especially good. I will back as it was worthy! I had been to this location in a while (not sure but definitely longer than a year. It looks like the place went through extensive renovation and remodeling. It looks great. The service was great too. The corn rolls (not corn bread) came out fairly quick and warm. They tasted pretty good. I ordered the rack of ribs with fries and corn bread. It also brought cole slaw. The ribs were OK ( the meat required knife and fork) but not good or great. The corn bread was terrible. It was cold (not room temperature). It was cold. It needs to be served warm (as all breads) and let it cool down as you eat). As I mentioned earlier, the service was good. A little more and the meal could be classified as good. read more

The definition of mid. Anyone who has had good to great barbecue will be underwhelmed, but it'll be perfectly fine if you haven't. Nothing was horrible but nothing was better than what I could get at a supermarkets hot food counter. I think ribs are a reasonable litmus test of a barbecue place, and these were a bit of a letdown. Without the sauce they are near unpleasant and some were on the tougher side. No smoky taste which to me is one of the best parts Collard greens had a weird tangy barbecue sauce taste and were below average. Would I have it again? Not 3.5 stars would be fitting. read more

We dined in at the Jupiter location. We haven't been to any Park Avenue location since the pandemic. Funny Bonz were excellent and there was plenty to take home. Service was a bit uneven (food coming out at different times) but tolerable. What a disappointment. I give them one star for their good waitstaff and one for the quality of their ingredients. Here are the lowlights (opposite of highlights): Catfish - totally bland. I mean zero seasoning. Not even any salt and pepper. Totally tasteless. It was, however, very nice sized portions and very well fried and nice fillets. Brisket - someone needs to explain to them what smoked brisket is (it is a BBQ place afterall, brisket is a staple). Zero smoke (I mean zero, not even a hint of smoked flavor and not the consistency of smoked meat). Zero rub (none whatsoever!). Zero crust. Zero smoke ring. It is served bathed in BBQ sauce because they must have known it is otherwise flavorless. What BBQ place serves brisket with BBQ sauce already on it? The quality of the meat was very good, lean and well trimmed but it was like steamed and then bathed in bbq sauce or maybe it was cooked in a slow cooker but there was simply no way that was smoked. What a bust! Mac and cheese - how do you screw this up? Overcooked macaroni bathed in velveeta. Tasteless. I give it two stars because while super tasteless, the place is clean, fine service and the quality of the beef and fish was good so it was edible and it did give us a topic of conversation for a few hours ("I can't believe that place is still in business...") and will stand as the benchmark of bad BBQ for us. read more
