I explained that my hair usually holds curls well and doesn't require much product, but she still used a large amount of hairspray while styling. Throughout the appointment, I was facing away from the mirror, so I couldn't see the progress. When I was finally turned around, I was very disappointed. There were barely any curls, and the few that were there were only at the ends and already falling out. I have medium-length hair, and the appointment took about an hour and twenty minutes. I asked several times for her to re-curl my hair, but despite trying, she was unable to achieve the basic style I had requested. By the time I got home--just five minutes away--my hair had almost completely fallen flat. We called the salon to express my frustration, and they offered for me to return about 30 minutes later to fix it. When I went back, I was assigned a different stylist, who admitted she could only do so much given the condition of my hair but would try her best. Unfortunately, I ended up being late to my own event, and my hair still did not look close to what I had asked for. I later called the salon to speak with management, but after two weeks, I never received a call back.
