They've severely damaged multiple pieces of my clothing. They blamed it on a piece of my clothing bleeding onto the other items, or that I left something in my pocket. It's clear based on the damage that the items were damaged by the machine itself. They took zero responsibility and looked at me like I was crazy. They started putting small barcodes on all my clothes. On the fabric. Including on designer clothes, which is absurd. It's like steam ironed on or something. Not possible to remove. I've been going to the cleaners for 15 years and this is very recent. The front desk person was not helpful and quite rude telling me my clothes are not ruined. Sorry my friend, you don't get to tell me whether my Caravana, Chloe and Gucci clothes are ruined or not. I can't remove the barcode sticker on expensive clothing...so that feels ruined to me. With a million and one cleaners/alterations places in nyc it's so hard to know which ones are going to really take care of your clothes - I went to this place in a pinch because I had a bridesmaid dress I needed hemmed in about a week and I was beyond happy and grateful for the wonderful humans working at park ave cleaners. Not only did they turn around all of my alterations and other dry cleaning in a few days, but they did a flawless job! Both the seamstress and every other employee there was thoughtful, friendly and overall very professional. Have been going to Park Ave Cleaners for about two years now for minor alterations and dry cleaning. I drop off at least 3-4 shirts a week. I've never had a bad experience. Staff is always very friendly, and recognizes me on sight (even with a mask). Shirts are always cleaned/pressed well, and they remember not to use starch. Not much else to say. Friendly staff, great service. Will continue to give them my business whenever I can. read more

I just moved into the neighborhood and I spent a lot of time evaluating my dry cleaning options. I considered using "uber for laundry" services like flycleaners, but i ended up going with park ave cleaners because" a) they win on price (cheaper than fly cleaners and other local competitors) b) i need a physical storefront nearby that I can go to if I need to drop stuff off or pick up last minute c) if anything is messed up (which hasn't so far) i'd like to be able to see an actual person instead of get the run-around from an online service unless the custmoer service is great d) park ave cleaners is probably more convenient than an app once they have you on file. you call them, they automatically confirm your identity and order instructions based on your past order within 20 seconds and you're done. read more

I found this place by searching for a wedding dress cleaner on Yelp. I did not have a wedding dress to clean but a dress that was problematic for another cleaner, so I figured if a wedding dress cleaner couldn't do it, no one can. I brought in a white, polyester/silk blend dress with a week old red wine stain on it. Not only did they get the stain out and return the dress in perfect condition, but they called me in 24 hours to tell me the dress was ready a day early. I can't speak on behalf of their cleaning, but they definitely can't do a good job tailoring. I came to get a pair of designer jeans shortened to my length - $20 for original bottom (one of the cheaper ones in the area), and when I got them back the bottom was coming apart at the seams. They were nice enough to fix it for free and there are no issues now, but I would expect a tailor to get something this simple right the first time. Sort of a mixed bag. They are fine with laundering dress shirts. The few alterations they've done have also been fine. But they kept screwing up the crease/no crease distinction on my pants. Repeatedly. Literally had to send back the same pants 5 times! They also lost a cashmere sweater. At first they claimed that they had delivered it, then they claimed they never had it, then they told me that they had found it and would have it delivered. 2 months later, still no sweater. Now they claim that they delivered it to another customer...but the run around and now going on over 2 months? read more

Great, no-nonsense service. A friend who worked in the bridal industry recommended this place to clean my gown (I bought it from a sample sale and it was filthy) since that is where his company would always send their garments to. They were fast (even apologetic that I would have to wait an extra day since Monday was a holiday) and my dress came back clean and packaged nicely. Their price was slightly cheaper than other places that specialize in weddings (i.e. they don't have the requisite wedding markup). read more

I should've asked them to take off one of the arms of the suit that I had cleaned here. $13 for a suit? Are you joking? $7 for a shirt with some coffee on it? Give me a break. This city cracks me up sometimes. The quality of the job is fine, but go somewhere cheaper. Also, it took them two days for the suit/shirt. Three pieces. I have been a returning regular client for 8 months, and used to drop off my professional clothes up to 2 to 3 times a week. I was overall satisfied until my shirts starting getting damaged. Then, I started noticing that my shirts had been switched off with my colleagues shirts. And the last very unpleasant experience was when they lost a shirt. It took 4 weeks for them to get a new one which does not match the one that was lost. They are nice but I felt that these past experiences were a bit sketchy; And I now feel uncomfortable using their services. read more

The tailor at this dry cleaners does a bad job and lies, and the manager is a poor businessman. Tailor ruined a new pair of Rebecca Taylor pants - made them much too short. When I brought them back, the manager said that the store wouldn't charge me to lengthen them, so I left the pants. Ten minutes later I received a call saying that I must have agreed to have too-short pants because of where the markings were. I then discovered that the tailor had changed the markings. Bottom line - they reneged on their promise to lengthen my pants without a charge and I now have to find someone else to fix my pants. And they were nasty about it! The tailor lies and the management is horrible. If you have clothes you want altered or cleaned, go somewhere else. I wish I had! read more

I don't use these guys very often but when I do, I am very pleased with their work. I had to have some emergency alterations done to a suit and they nailed it. It came out really great and they got it done within a day. I would get all my clothes laundered there too if they were open later than 7pm. read more

Took a few dress shirts here for laundering; one was returned with an enormous rip along the upper arm; threads everywhere, nothing that could ever be repaired. When I complained about my newly tattered clothing I was told this was from "ordinary wear and tear." Right, because I always wear out the upper right arm on all my shirts... In a half-hearted effort to retain my business, the manager offered to either patch the shirt ("you can hide it under a jacket," he says...) or launder one single shirt for free. Um, no. read more

Like the previous poster, I also found this place by searching for wedding dress cleaners, however, I did have a wedding dress to clean. Previously, I had gone around to all the best dry cleaning places because, all right, I was nervous. It's my wedding dress! I first went to Meurice Cleaners on University and they wanted $600!!! I'm sure they would have done a fantastic job, but I bought my dress as a sample and it didn't cost much more than that to begin with! Then I went to Chris French Cleaners. Again, I'm sure they would have done a wonderful job, but they wanted $350. Frustrated, I did a little research and called Little J Cleaners. They said they would charge me $32 to clean my white silk dress. Admittedly I was a little nervous with the huge drop in prices (it costs less, so it can't be as good...), but I decided to go for it. They were very professional when I brought the dress in. Even remembered that I had called. It was finished on time and looks perfect. The stains are gone and the color is perfect. I couldn't be happier. And all for $32. As a side note, my dress was very simple, with no beading, lace or tulle. I also took the decorative buttons off the back and will have to sew them back on myself (didn't want to chance them being damaged or missing). I also didn't mention that my white dress was a wedding dress. I'm sure that if you add all these things up, the cost would have been more, but never anywhere near $600. read more

This place is actually called Park Ave Cleaners now and is at 425 Park Ave South (b/w 29th and 30th St). I was entrusted with a friend's wedding gown so I was pretty nervous about finding a good place to have it cleaned--and was VERY HAPPY with the job that these guys did. The service was polite and efficient, the gown came out beautifully, and I didn't end up having to pay $600 for cleaning a very simple gown (that was the quote I got from Chris French and Meurice). The cost to have the dress cleaned and boxed here was about $200. All in all, a GREAT place! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - frequently mixed other people's clothing with my dry cleaning and laundering, received a load of other people's dry cleaning in lieu of my own and did not know where my order was sent. As a result lost 6 of my very expensive ($1,400+) dress shirts. Little to no attempt to find them then denied having ever received. read more

I am very attached to this dry cleaning business. They do an excellent job every time. I have been using them for 3 years and their other shop on 15 th and third prior to this for 8 years so that is 11 years total. The dry cleaning always comes back in perfect condition, clean and fresh. I have even had my linen curtains cleaned here again they came back in great condition. My clothes last forever, no fading, shrinking or dulling of colors, or yellowing of whites. I also get things tailored here no problem. I recently moved to the upper east side and am searching for a place as good as they are, fingers crossed, but they will be hard to beat. read more

I used to live right around the corner and had tried other less expensive wash and folds, but was never satisfied. Not only do they do an amazing job, they deliver and pick up from you the moment you call. I recently moved to Brooklyn, and still take ALL of my dry cleaning to them. Everything comes perfect, and my cashmere has never looked better. When I go in to pick up, they greet me by name, and know off the top of their heads exactly what I'm there to pickup. I go there so often, they give me a 10% discount as well. I also get my mending done there, and I'm much more satisfied with the work they do on repairing holes in my denim or other garments than any other place I've tried. They are amazing. This place has a sign in the window and brochures claiming that they are experts in cleaning and restoring designer handbags. RUN RUN RUN. I dropped off a $940 Gucci bag that needed cleaning. The part that rubs along the body had gotten soiled over time from bleeding ink from my jeans. That was it the bag was in perfect condition with no rips, tears, or broken yarns. .They called and told me that after the cleaner reviewed it the cost would be $100. Friday June 10 I decided to stop in the store to see if my bag was ready and there is was sitting on the shelf. I guess no one was going to call me and now I see why. I get home and sit my bag on a shelf and there I see these idiots ripped my bag in 2 different places and stitched it back with brown thread. All the other places including the bottom of the bag is in perfect condition. no signed of wear or tear. Only where there cleaned is damaged. I called Saturday morning and was told to bring the bag back on Monday. Monday morning I return with my bag and just like the other reviewer Grant , I was told that this is from "wear and tear" Really then why is the rest of the bag brand new. They did not offer to give back my $100 and the two A holes at the front continued to mock me and basically dismissed me. I wrote the president Albert Lee an email and copied my lawyer. If they don't refund my $100 and I have to pursue this further I will be seeking a full refund for the entire cost of my bag and all cost incurred.
