I messaged her through Yelp, and her son (or nephew?) was quick to respond back with how I could book an appointment with Nery. She is extremely packed on weekends and evenings, so I took a half day for myself and went on a random Tuesday morning. A regular, non-gel mani/pedi for me took about an hour and a half - just as estimated when I booked the appointment too! Nery was welcoming, and completely understanding that I am indecisive. I changed my nail colors at least 3 times, and spent more than half my manicure debating is I should change my pedicure color (I did). But who can resist when Nery has walls of OPI and Zoya colors? I'm a sucker for Zoya, and dozens of colors she had on her wall, I also have in my closet. That's how I knew I would love Nery - quality polishes. None of the gross Kleancolor stuff I see a lot at other salons in the area. I chose a matte green from Zoya, opting to not put a top coat on it because it's a matte and c'mon, it looks really good. My favorite part? When she broke out the hand-mixer turned pumice stone when it was pedicure time. I don't know why I loved it, but it craked me up. And it really got all my dead skin off the heels of my feet! Eventually, I nodded off for a few minutes because it got to be really relaxing - the music she was playing when I was there was a great Pandora station of chill dance music (think Sia and Kygo). The chairs were just regular swivel chairs for a pedicure instead of the usual massage chairs, the buckets they gave us for our feet made the water go cold really quickly, the stool used to perch our feet kept sliding as it was made of cheap plastics, and despite the lotions and scrubs being high end, they were also just a quick part of the experience and not really worth paying for. Again the staff were extremely kind, it's just the services offered leave some to be desired while still paying the premium cost. I don't think I would come back here again. Our pedicures turned out great, but I wouldn't say any better than my old nail salon.

Since I was anxiously looking for a mobile service , I didn't hesitate to book the appointment when I received a text from Karol. When the day of the appointment came I received a picture from the owner indicating what door I should utilize to access her studio. At that moment I realized the mistake and explained the misunderstanding and offered to pay a cancellation fee. At which point the owner proceeded the charge me for the full service. $130. She argued that she had sent me the address (which is untrue), and that she doesn't offer mobile services although her square profile clearly states 'they'll come to you' under location (see attached picture). Against my wishes, and after a lot of back and forth with the owner, I drove to the salon, which is very far from my house. She sent me a screenshot of what she received from Yelp, and although it didn't specify that I was looking for a mobile service, it clearly showed that I was looking for services in my area, which is very far from her salon. Nonetheless, I decided to make the best of it. I chatted with other customers, the owner, and my nail tech. My nails took a long time, but I didn't mind too much because I was very happy with the result. By the time I was done with my nails, I wasn't feeling my best and wanted to get home, so I informed the owner that I wouldn't be doing my pedicure. I was told that I would be charged for it. I couldn't believe it! Logically, I got the pedicure - I was already there. As an entrepreneur myself I pride myself in providing the very best customer service. Sadly that is not what I experienced today. While I understand that the misunderstanding wasn't entirely the salon's fault, it wasn't mine either. Meeting me halfway would've been a more appropriate response. And forcing me to pay for a pedicure as well was unnecessary. I was so pleased with my nails that I was actually considering going back and recommending the salon to my daughter who works in the area. However, after having experienced the inflexibility of the owner, lack of accountability and poor customer service, I won't be returning and my daughter refuses to go, as well. If anyone is looking for a mobile service beware that this person doesn't offer this service although her square profile states that she does. This is a Spanish-speaking establishment; however it's never been an issue for me as, Google Translate is a great tool, and the receptionist I wish I knew her name is amazing. She always answers my texts promptly to book appointments, speaks English, and is great at translating if needed. She is typically there, which is helpful in this appointment-only salon. The salon is small but always clean, and they are constantly busy, so be sure to book ahead. Prices are very fair for the quality of service you receive. I get a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and my nails typically last three, sometimes even four weeks, which is crazy. My nails have never been so long and healthy. As an extra touch, they serve Cuban coffee, which I absolutely love. If you are looking for an affordable, clean salon with great customer service, this is your place.
