I went in for a Brazilian Keratin treatment..which I had done before somewhere else and it didn't last at all, so needless to say I was hesistant but decided to give it another shot anyway..and I'm sooo glad I did! My hair dresser that day and from now on was Jessica Fox. She's a chemical/Keratin specialist but she works wonders with a pair of shears too! Now when I wash my hair I can leave it down to air dry, I have soft waves, NO FRIZZ, and it takes me half the time to flat iron with no extra oils or products! The salon is great too with nice staff, offering coffee, tea, etc..I can't say enough good things about Jessica Fox and Serge Renard Salon. =) read more

She did my make up lickety split quick and was very nice about it. She has an easy going, easy to talk to approach. She works for Plum TV in Miami and often does their shows so you know that she has plenty of experience. While she was working on me, she whipped out a small, portable, flat iron, and voila within a mere 10 minutes she had worked her magic. read more

Amazing experience! I just had my hair done today by Marianela. It was my first time at the salon (I read Yelp's reviews and decided to try it out). I was very skeptical due to a very disappointing coloring experience at a salon I've been going to for months now. Marianela did an amazing job correcting the outcome of this bad coloring job. She was cute, friendly, took time to assess exactly what I was trying to achieve. It took her hours to go through processing and highlights, including toning. She was very patient and determined to achieve my desired result. I was thrilled! The color turned out amazing, and the blow-out was just as great! I definitely found my new salon! Also, it is very easy to make appointments- they are all flexible and will try to accomodate you if it is your first time. Not worth the price or time. I went in for highlights and a cut - my appointment was pointless, I was there for over 5 hours. The staff is super friendly so it was pleasant but the service wasn't great. The assistant, not the stylist, blew out my hair and she was super slow and obviously not experienced with thick hair. she took over an hour. When the stylist finally came, I was 98% done. I was charged $100 for a blow out I could've done better at home and THAT is what annoys me. Then the partial highlights, looks good but $175? Then "the cut", I wasn't even asked what I wanted. By the time she got to it I had been there 5 hours so I settled for a trim....$90. I have been to better salons in midtown Manhattan and charged way less for stellar locks. Finally back in Virginia Beach and I have a free moment to write this review...the hubby + I go to Miami frequently...love it there..was just there from last Tuesday to yesterday (January 19th 2016). About a week and a half before our trip I had my hair colored/highlighted. I ended up in Serge Renard Salon with Marianela Duran for a wash + blowout + style. When she was done I asked her if I was seeing what she was seeing..her comment was very respectful but the truth..I had a huge orange ring around the crown of my head with dark spots...in other words, it was terrible. Seriously couldn't believe I hadn't noticed it before..but I wear my hair up on top of my head a lot. I asked her if there was anything that could be done, she said yes and squeezed me into her very busy Friday schedule. Six and a half, that's right, 6-1/2 hours later (yes, they were either working on me or I was processing the whole time) I had the prettiest multi colored, natural looking hair ever! The other important part of this review is how wonderful Marianela and the staff was...truly wonderful. I can't say enough good things about them other than if you ever find yourself in the Grove go see Maranela; I certainly will the next time I'm there...oh, one last thing...the price, about what I paid for the bad color job I had here in Virginia Beach. read more

i very rarely write these reviews but I was so disappointed last week. My future daughter in law was down from NY and someone recommended Serge for hair color. she made an appointment and came from the Beach just for him. Not only did he not touch her hair, he delegated everything from color application to blow drying to his assistants who were completely incompetent. What should have taken an hour for a single process color took almost 21/2 and they were going to charge her for Serge who is more expensive. he NEVER touched her hair. as for me, I had the worst haircut of the year and would never have gone there but I wanted to keep my son's girlfriend company. For $95 I have something that looks like a bowl sitting on my head. this will take months to grow out. And, one more thing, none of the assistants spoke English so you couldn't communicate how you wanted your hair washed or even ask for a glass of water which of course...they never offered. How has this archaic salon been around for so long? shame on them. read more
