Return to the good old days with this restaurant inside the twa hotel at jfk. Last time my wife and I was guest at this hotel was during co vid restrictions and it was closed. This is the only service restaurant inside of the TWA. I went for breakfast and it was alright. The staff wasn't extraordinary. Once I got my food I wasn't really checked on again and had to ask for the check. The food was good but I don't think it was cooked fully, after cutting it up there were many pieces that still seemed to have some batter consistency and not fully bread. The vibes are cute and goes very well with the goal of coming to the TWA. There are 3 areas of seating, the white chairs, pink (which I was in), and yellow in the back. read more

I absolutely loved my dinner at the Paris Cafe in late January while staying at the TWA hotel. We had reservations for 830 pm on a sunday, but they took us 30 minutes earlier. This was amazing and really helped, because the place was pretty booked up. the decor is dark and seductive, perfect for a date or an intimate dinner like we were celebrating. overall we had great service and would come back if i end up back at the TWA hotel. keep in mind, the meal itself was expensive, and every signature drink was $19. we ran that bill up with drinks. i ordered 6 for myself and my date had 5. it was a rough night for sure. a must get app, or just keep it to yourself, is the spicy tuna crunch. i absolutely loved this. the fish flavor comes through, but theres also a slight cream flavor blended in. each piece if the perfect bite. we shared the chicken entree. for 1 person this size is enough, but we shared it, so i still felt hungry for dessert. but the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. i felt the lemon sauce was a bit too salty, but once we dipped the focaccia bread into it, it helped it. the chicken itself had a nice toasted skin, and was a large breast serving. the veggies were cooked well. the carrot cake is made in house and was a nice serving. overall it wasn't too sweet and was the perfect way to end my birthday dinner with this slice, a candle and a happy birthday chocolate on top. i believe our servers name were Nadiene and Mundiane? I cant remember their names but they were pretty quick and kept the table clean. read more

We had dinner here back in March while staying overnight at TWA prior to a flight the next day. We liked everything at TWA as well, contrary to what a lot of others had to say. I will say, Paris Cafe is pretty pricey and doesn't have a very elaborate menu, but it was the only option for a sit down dinner at the airport. It also has a Michelin star chef....Chef Jean-Georges. I had to check it out! They have a regular seating area which is surrounded by large windows, or you can sit by the kitchen in kind of a bar style seating. Food was good. I had a turkey burger with no bun. The roasted red peppers and Smokey aioli were very good. Fries were nice and crispy. I can't say much for the salmon as I didn't have that. The man said it was good. We had a delicious bottle of red wine with our meal. Pricey but it's New York and we knew that going in. Good food if you are staying overnight and want a sit down dinner. read more

Located on the 2nd floor of the TWA Hotel, just outside JFK Airport, Paris Café is a great spot to relax if you're looking to avoid waiting inside the terminal during a long layover, flight delay, or while picking someone up. The service was fast and friendly. I tried the warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream--essentially their take on a molten lava cake--and it was delicious. Not overly sweet, and the ice cream paired perfectly with the rich cake. Considering the prime airport location, the prices were reasonable. Definitely a cool and convenient place to check out if you're near JFK. read more

The absolute worse food and service. Very very dissapointing. The pizza was not edible. The cheese smelled rancid to find out it was Parmesan. I asked for an unsweetened iced tea and they put simple syrup in it, we watched our food sit on the kitchen counter to 10 minutes. When I asked them to go get my food, the stood there and discussed why it was sitting there instead of serving it to us. Needless to say it was cold and gross. The iced teas were $7 a piece and no refills. It was just bad service, bad food and way to high price for the quality. By the way if you're in NY and have pizza in the menu, you better have descent pizza. Jean George, you should be ashamed, your reputation is on the line. Based on my experience I'm not sure I would ever try another one of your restaurants. read more

I want to start by saying this: the food was genuinely delicious. Like "I would absolutely eat this again" delicious. If this exact meal had been served literally anywhere else--an airport lounge, a sidewalk, a folding table in a parking lot--it would've earned a solid 5 stars. Unfortunately, it was served here. I give a lot of grace to servers at the end of their shift. I've been there. I understand exhaustion, distractions, Mercury in retrograde, etc. That said... initial contact was slow, follow-up was slower, and by the time we finished our drinks (which happened quickly, since no one checked back), we became invisible. Like full-on airport ghost status. My husband asked for more bread for dipping. By the time it arrived, his food had gone from "freshly served" to "emotionally distant and cold." A true tragedy. So yes--great food. Poor execution. If you have the option, eat before you get to the hotel. Or pack snacks. Or lower your expectations and bring patience... lots of patience read more

This is a note about the staff's compassion. My partner had to fly home immediately after learning of a family emergency and decided to stay at the TWA Hotel tonight to avoid the early-morning rush to the airport for an 8am flight. I wasn't able to go with, but a few very emotional text messages later, I decided I had to do something. I called the restaurant and let them know the situation--and they were incredibly kind and accommodating. From just a description, the staff located the right table and brought a dessert from me to my partner. I felt powerless, even though I was just an hour away, and they made it possible for me to send a love note to my partner in a moment of despair. The cafe is very retro due to the vintage TWA motif. I quite enjoyed having a meal since I'd heard so many great stories about the hotel! Despite the unbearable heat outside it was quite pleasant dining here. While the menu was small it was incredibly varied and everything that I ordered turned out to be very tasty!! I began with the Tuna tartare followed by the Arugula salad with cherry tomatoes. To round out, I enjoyed the meatball appetizer served with toasted brioche. The staff (especially Tasharè) was warm and friendly, lending to a most memorable experience! I highly recommend that anyone spending some time in the JFK airport having a meal here!! read more

The Paris Cafe is really the only option for dinner at The TWA hotel. It's loud - like an echo chamber. We were seated quickly enough, and service was just OK, not very good. Table of 9, Waiting 20 minutes, no one comes to the table for water or anything. They have the absolute nuts to charge $40 for a basic salad with chicken and not have top notch service is outrageous. This place could use a lot of improvement. I'll just list some of the bad things: Horrible service. Waitress never came to our table. We had to flag her frowny face down just to get more drinks. Drinks were inconsistent and had heavy pours. Had to send the cherry yuzu back because it was so strong and lacking of cherry or yuzu flavor. The food was not worth the money. Jean-George should be embarrassed to have his name on the place. $60 for the filet and it was dry and burnt? The rigatoni and meatballs said it had a smokey sauce, but it tasted like ketchup, but was much thinner. At least the meatballs were ok. This cafe has the most number of options to eat among the other food place inside the hotel. It has a nostalgic vibes. The music is something you'll enjoy listening especially if you were born and live during the TWA era. Our server was quick to have us seated but were disappointed when we were told that their fryer was not working and can't offer anything fried at the moment...a star deduction to the experience. We settled to the faster service , ordered easy to serve. The decor and design of the restaurant is beautiful. With a good view of the running Air Train, worth dining here if you are not really looking for a fancy meal. Pricing is very touristy but was fun being here. read more
