We got iced lattes and a ham quiche. Everything was delicious. Paris bakery deserves more love.

Super friendly service and delicious pastries and bread. We had a ham and cheese croissant, tiramisu, apple croissant, veggie quiche, and took some pastries and a loaf to bread to go. Not super busy from 8:30 to 9:30 on a Tuesday, so a really lovely spot to hang out and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Limited parking in front but wasn't an issue for us. The real bread ornaments on the decorated Christmas tree were such a cute touch for the decor! We usually go to the Monterey location but will definitely be spending more time here!

Just head to the back entrance (there really isn't a "front door") and grab whatever bread you want off the cooling racks! My mom has been wanting to try out this place ever since we discovered Palermo Bakery's ciabatta at a local European food shop where we asked for the name and address. Since we were in the area, we stopped by to buy some of that delicious bread that we've been dreaming about. I guess we didn't come early enough (we came around 7:30AM). I would suggest 5AM-7AM before they head out for deliveries or call in advance. We managed to buy 4 loaves of ciabatta and the last two rolls of Dutch Crunch (which is a must in NorCal -- it's such a rarity in SoCal to find freshly baked Dutch Crunch). In total, we paid $9 for fresh bread!! Make sure to bring cash! The staff gave us freedom to pick and choose our bread and gave us a quick tour of the bakery which was cool. They give you sturdy paper bags to hold your bread and sleeves that are freezer-friendly. Definitely recommend for quality, authentic Italian and traditional bread. Don't be deterred by the lack of storefront and BRING CASH!

The real entrance is a back door that looks pretty uninviting but trust me, you want to enter it. When you are inside you will be met with racks of freshly baked bread ready to go home with you. If no one is around just holler out and someone will be with you promptly. Palermo's is a commercial bakery that you can find in nearby grocery stores but why not go directly to the source and support local. We picked up a sourdough baguette, a sweet baguette, and a few sandwiches rolls. Overall, my favorite was the sourdough baguette. I can't wait to come back here and order more bread to share. *** cash only ***

It didn't look like it died down which is awesome for this business. I believe I waited 20-30 minutes in line before I reached the display case. There were so many delicious things to choose from, it was a challenge to decide! I opted for a croissant sandwich, a blue corn cookie, and some sweet treats for the beach. I also ordered a seasonal latte, I believe it was cherry chocolate with oat milk less sweet. There's a nice outdoor seating area with many tables in chairs. Since the weather was nice we decided to stop and eat for a bit. The ambience was very nice and calm. The food was delicious and their house made pickles were fantastic. They were crisp, fresh, and complimented the turkey sandwich so well. The blue corn cookie was very interesting and reminiscent of a tortilla chip. I'd definitely come back here if I were in the area.

Latte was decent, not too bitter or acidic and it was creamy They try a lot of variations for pastries, both savory and sweet! The savory danish was really tasty and there was some pickled / citrus component that added more depth and made it super interesting to eat! The salmon croissant was alright, had a really nice flaky crust but the filling tasted kinda gamey , would've been nice to have another component to balance it out. Cookies were niceeeee the buckwheat choco cookie had nice amounts of sea salt and was like a brownie texture on the inside. Choco chip cookie was thin and crispy on the outside with chocolate blobs spread around, quite sweet though There was a line going out the door but only had to wait around 15 min!

Beautiful natural window lighting, and I spent an hour people watching, sipping my coffee, and reading :) Velvet Noir ($7.50): Cherry Garcia is my favorite Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor, so I knew I'd love this drink. It has dark chocolate, cherry, espresso, and milk! I got it hot for the colder day and it was perfect. Vanilla Cardamom Latte ($7.50 + Pistachio Milk $1): My friend liked this! The pistachio was subtle but she thought it paired well with the cardamom. Their merchandise is fun with different dog breeds riding bikes on T-shirts! I wouldn't mind waiting in line again since we were leisurely strolling around downtown anyway, but definitely expect a wait and snag seats while you wait in line if you can. It's a small shop, and since I wasn't sure yet if I wanted a pastry, I ordered a coffee first while my husband looked at the case. One of the women behind the counter told me, "Usually you order pastries first and then we get the coffee at the end." The way it was said immediately made me feel uncomfortable, like I was somehow doing something wrong. I apologized and explained we weren't from here and I wasn't even sure yet if I wanted anything else. Their tone changed after that and became much friendlier, which honestly made the interaction feel even more awkward. My husband ended up ordering pastries, including a chocolate croissant for me, and both the latte and croissant were good. Sometimes the experience matters just as much as the food. It's hard to fully enjoy a place when your first impression made you feel unwelcome. I truly wanted to love this spot because it came so highly recommended as she visited it daily, but I left feeling more embarrassed than excited to return.
