I haven't dropped an update here in 5 years so now's a good time. Actually, I'm glad I waited this…read morelong to update the review. About 2 years ago, I noticed there were fewer staff around, and things started to feel a little more difficult than I was used to. But in the last year or so, they've really ramped up their game, and the service has been excellent again, totally back to its normal self. I have been a fan of the brand and while factors vary by location continues to be the best I have experienced and continues to be my go-to for my many honey-do excursions. :-) Bottom line: These guys are still killing it. Still the place to go for what you need, and yes, even with Lowe's right next door. 4/6/26

I set it up, turned it on and as soon as it was under a load it tripped the GFCI built into the power cord. I tried calling to make sure they knew I was coming back with a bad saw but even after asking to be redirected by the operator 4 times nobody answered. When I told the man at the counter what the saw was doing he plugged it in and turned it on. I told him it only does it under load and he said I must have plugged it into a bad extension cord. Wow. The counter person is looking at me sideways like I am trying to pull some sort of scam and it is now going on 10 a.m. He called for a manager and said it would be a few minutes. The manager showed up 15 minutes later with an assistant manager and after hearing what was going on said the best they could do was void the contract and refund the deposit. I suggested in the interest of customer service and being I had a job to finish that maybe the best coarse of action would be to send me home with the next level up saw and charge me the original price or the 4 hour rate rather than for an entire day but, again I was looked at like I was trying to scam them somehow. The manager started to write up the contract and said he had to charge me full price for a 24 hour rental -even though the entire situation was at his discretion- and I almost went for it in the interest of finishing the job but after being treated like a thief by all 3 I said "Not good enough" and left. By then it was almost 11:a.m. Ridiculous.

Very well stocked store. If you can not find what you need…read morethere are employees that actually want to help you. Outdoor area is year round and has local plants. Large seasonal selection of palms and fruit trees. Lumber area does not cut any wood. They do have a bulk drive up area.

This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had…read more I waited approximately 30 minutes in line. When it was finally my turn, the cashier, Diane, made two very brief attempts to process a payment (30-60 seconds) and then abandoned my transaction to help another customer. When I explained that I had already been waiting for 30 minutes, I was ignored. After she returned, I repeatedly told her the ZIP code being entered was incorrect and that the transaction would be declined. She ignored me multiple times, continued processing the payment, and then acted surprised when it declined. When I pointed out that I had warned her several times, she responded, "I wasn't listening to you." That statement perfectly summarized the entire interaction. She was dismissive, argumentative, and unwilling to listen to the customer standing directly in front of her. The situation became even more shocking when she openly stated that she did not want to work there, was only filling in for someone else, and did not want to deal with customers. She then showed me her name tag and identified herself as Diane. Everyone has bad days, but customers should not have to wait 30 minutes only to be ignored, spoken to disrespectfully, and then told by the employee serving them that she doesn't want to be there in the first place. Lowe's management should review this interaction and provide additional customer service training or determine whether this employee is suited for a customer-facing position.
