Not a pottery store. For 3 years we drove past and finally went in became we were told they have cushions. HUGE discount household store. Every color and sized cushions imaginable for lawn furniture. Seasonal decorations everywhere. Lots of nick nacks for any theme. Clocks,prints,wall decor and lights. Anything on sale is non returnable. read more

The location is easy to find with lots to parking but the HEAT inside the building is horrible. It makes for a bad shopping experience! Staff is very pleasant but sweat coming from their faces. I can't recommend this store because of the heat and like of air conditioning. read more

I came with my mom who had been staying in Gulf Shores for almost a month and raved about this store. We are driving back to Minnesota in a few days. I wanted to buy more, but we don't have a lot of room in the pickup bed. I found us army toys and a fake us army toy gun for my army national guard rotc son. Also, a cool troops garden flag. They gave a very large variety of plant pots, lawn and garden decor and now clothes. No dressing room yet, but I was given permission to try on in the bathroom. Take that Good will. If Overstock.com had a brick and mortar store, Old Time Pottery would be it. It seems like a place with true leftover merchandise, not stuff made for an outlet store. The store itself is enormous and has a ton of home items at good prices. You can get really good deals on wall art. If you see something you like in the art section, definitely get it because you will not see it again. The kitchen section (cutlery, plates, storage, etc...) seems very consistent and carries lines such as Kitchen-Aid. I also really like the throw pillow area which is very hit-or-miss but when you find something you like, it will be an excellent value! read more

The new owners have RUINED what was once a true shopping destination! Driving from other states to shop for unique, AFFORDABLE Christmas gifts & decor, outstanding specialty home decor & kitchen items and SO much more was a regular occurrence for me & many friends. Now, it is nothing but a cheap, discount store (with high prices) packed with clothes, shoes & 8 aisles of PET supplies & trinkets. Horrible! Who needs 8 aisles of crap for pets??! Kitchen ware has been reduced to bare shelves with no variety, nothing of value. The once WONDERFUL Christmas wonderland has been reduced to a few aisles in the very back, filled with cheap plastic ornaments & overpriced junk. Walmart has a much better Christmas shop AND lower prices! So extremely sad that OTP has gone to the dogs. Just rename it "Dollar General"...at much higher prices! Last, the service is nonexistent. No store personnel to be found. The 1 cashier this morning (11/8) was rude & very short with me. It used to be a pleasure to chat with the nice ladies that worked there. They're long gone- alone with a wonderful store of the past. read more

On our first trip, we came looking for a pot for our new sago palm & found the perfect piece also got a lamp topper & lovely circular outdoor hanging fish art piece with the words "paradise found" in metal. It's was just a decorate and personalize kinda day. Since then we have made several trips back here and while it's hit or miss depending on the mood and need however we have several needed items and enjoy browsing the store for ideas. We stroll through almost every aisle and look around at everything. You can sometimes find cool stuff on clearance if you search enough. I unfortunately or not always seem to find something when I'm here. Bottom line: It's well-stocked, clean and organized and if you walk through the entire store you get a good workout so feel free to reward yourself with a cool soda on your way out :-) read more

I really like this store..they have everything you can imagine for your home..I have purchased lots of pictures,lamps,floral arrangements for my home..most of the prices are reasonable but u do need to watch as some are more expensive than the retail stores..they always offered a 10% military discount but yesterday we were told they discontinued it..I don't know why as that was a nice perk and every time we are there they are so busy.. they have lots of sales and offer items for every holiday..check it out they some pretty nice furniture also read more

If you can't find what you are looking for in this store, you had better go to the Internet and be happy to pay shipping when you find it. This place has anything you could possibly imagine, or at least something very similar. Their prices are cheap, but the selection is a bit overwhelming. But these are not upscale items. These are seasonal, "one time use" items for people who like to "switch out" frequently. Materials are cheap and construction is poor, but at these prices, you get what you pay for. The staff is helpful and fairly knowledgeable. It's a great place to blow an hour just laughing at "stuff". read more

Went into OLD TIME POTTERY for a "sale". We drove from Pensacola to Foley because it's nicer than the one in Pensacola. We spent about $100 on drapes and framed art. The Framed Art was what was on sale and the reason we came out. So, we were looking for 2 large pieces for our new place, and because of the sale, ended up with three! Spent another $15 we didn't plan because it was a great price. So the sale is for assorted styles and sizes. $11.99 - $14.99 becomes $9.99 $16.99 - $19.99 becomes $14.99 $24.99 - $39.99 becomes $29.99 And these aren't small pieces so it's a good sale. So, we pick one that says $15. (the sale jumps from $14.99 to $16.99 so shame on us for thinking that our $15 pieces in the sale aisle were also on sale). And one for $19.99. The one for $19.99 rang up for $14.99 as it should. The others just rang up for $15. We were confused... It has a sticker that says $15 promo over the TOP of a $9.88 price tag, they are in the sale aisle, but not on sale. No problem, we don't need it. But the manager was being rude to us. We just tried to explain that the sticker underneath (which you could clearly read through the sales sticker) was LOWER than the sale. The manager says, "That isn't our sticker. That's the suggested price. We're closeout". Then the manager turns around, begins walking away, and says "Whatever, just F***ing do it." APALLED. We weren't rude or anything. We got the the car and PEELED the sticker off the tops of the UPCs from the 2 items we purchased, and what do you know? OLD TIME POTTERY, NON-SALES STICKER, $9.88. We went home to Pensacola, contacted corporate, showed them our pictures, and STILL they tell us that these are NOT their stickers. They wouldn't mark anything up like that. On a whim, we decided to drive back out to Alabama, get lunch, and see if the stickers were that way on everything, or JUST what they marked up to put on sale. We checked a lot of departments... It was just the sale on frames art. We made a few videos of us peeling your promo stickers off to show lower prices beneath. One of the workers began peeling the stickers off as quickly as we could photograph and we weren't trying to be a nuisance so we just left. We just wanted a video to show corporate that, even if the corporation does not participate in price anchoring, their store in Foley, Alabama sure seemed to be. So we sent this to them, and they apparently believed us that it was THEIR stickers, not some closeout stickers, and that the prices were indeed marked up for the sale.... they called my fiance at 7:30 on Sunday night to talk to him about it. Assured him that they do not mark prices up before sales and had little to nothing to say about their rude manager. I will NEVER shop here again and I hope no one else does either. Their are other closeout stores selling junk that no one wanted and doing it in a more honest way. read more

I've shopped at Old Time Pottery for years. They always have a huge selection of all the household goods imaginable including dishes, cookware, decor, craft supplies, flower pots and other garden decor, furniture, rugs, and seasonal decor. Most of the cookware and furniture is cheap, as far as prices and quality. The pots, vases, and dishes are actually pretty decent quality and reasonably priced. Other items such as doormats and draperies are much less than you'd pay at a place like Bed, Bath and Beyond, for the exact same thing. If you're shopping for household goods, definitely check this place out. read more

Went for the 1st time and some items were EXTREMELY OVER PRICED, some items were cheap quality but if you dig enough you can find good stuff. be careful though bc they advertise a deal but in the fine print it really only means 5 items out of possible 100 are on sale. read more

We spend 2-3 months in Orange Beach, AL, every winter. We love the area and have spent so much time there it is like a home away from home. We always go to Old Time Pottery. I ALWAYS find things here. My husband is not a big fan, but he sits in front of the store relaxing. Our son owns a condo on the beach, and I'm always finding something for the condo. This is definitely the type of store that you have to really look for things. It is not a fancy department store, but I enjoy just looking and searching. The store is HUGE. We do not have this store in Wisconsin, and that is also part of the appeal, I'm sure. The staff have always been so polite and nice to my husband, and I, another plus!! read more

The management along with a large portion of the cashiers provide terrible customer service. They are very disrespectful and unprofessional. I will absolutely NEVER shop at this store again. read more
