I reserved and picked up a tile saw on 7/29/26 at around 8:30 a.m.. The man turned it on and the…read moremotor started up so I took it and drove the half hour to the job. I set it up, turned it on and as soon as it was under a load it tripped the GFCI built into the power cord. I tried calling to make sure they knew I was coming back with a bad saw but even after asking to be redirected by the operator 4 times nobody answered. When I told the man at the counter what the saw was doing he plugged it in and turned it on. I told him it only does it under load and he said I must have plugged it into a bad extension cord. Wow. The counter person is looking at me sideways like I am trying to pull some sort of scam and it is now going on 10 a.m. He called for a manager and said it would be a few minutes. The manager showed up 15 minutes later with an assistant manager and after hearing what was going on said the best they could do was void the contract and refund the deposit. I suggested in the interest of customer service and being I had a job to finish that maybe the best coarse of action would be to send me home with the next level up saw and charge me the original price or the 4 hour rate rather than for an entire day but, again I was looked at like I was trying to scam them somehow. The manager started to write up the contract and said he had to charge me full price for a 24 hour rental -even though the entire situation was at his discretion- and I almost went for it in the interest of finishing the job but after being treated like a thief by all 3 I said "Not good enough" and left. By then it was almost 11:a.m. Ridiculous.

Ace tends to have among the best customer service of any of the hardware type stores I've experienced. The folks working at most Ace locations actually seem cheerful and happy to help you find something or give suggestions on the best items for certain projects. The staff are also good about reminding you about available discounts and other money saving options. The experience at most Ace locations is far better than what you typically get at Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart.

They sent out an install crew, ripped out all the carpet they put in and installed all new carpet properly and I couldn't be happier. He recommended installing a basin drain system as the solution, but unfortunately the work was completely ineffective. The crew dug up the parking lot and front of the house to install the drainage system, but left a huge mess behind. There were trenches and uneven areas throughout my parking lot and even extending onto my neighbor's property. The entire job felt rushed, like the priority was finishing as quickly as possible rather than making sure it was done correctly. The drainage system itself was poorly designed. The drains were not installed up against the house where the flooding and water intrusion was actually occurring, and the front of the property was not properly graded to direct water toward the drain. As a result, the system did little to solve the original issue. When I reached back out and asked James to come back and help correct the problems, his response was that they were "already barely making any money on the job." That response made it seem like the focus was more on profit than standing behind the work or making things right for the customer. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the workmanship and the customer service, and I would not recommend using this company for drainage or water intrusion issues.

They tried to charge an additional $7500 after bidding job and getting paid $12K which was the contract price! And it was a joke what they did. I have no idea how they EVER get a good rating. 2. They put an irrigation line on my neighbors side of the fence that was found when I hired another company to connect to my well, which they refused to do. No one asked nor told the neighbor nor I if that was ok. And they refuse to do anything about it! Neighbor has a rock yard and was out of town when it was done, so he nor I could tell till now. Turns out this new contractor had worked for them and quit two years ago due to issues just like mine. 3. They told me they winterized the system last fall, but did not drain lines so the back flow valve burst. They refused to repair it without being paid $7500! I had to hire someone else to fix it. 4. I was told they installed the remote module in the system so I could control it with my phone from Texas, but they did not. I had to pay someone else $100 to install it. 5. I told them the controller was faulty and was running 3 times a day. I had cleared it and it did not still stay on schedule. I got two $600 water bills for two months before they would replace it. BOTTOM LINE...DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY LIE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY OVER PROMISE AND TRY TO CHARGE YOU MoRE THAN CONTRACT PRICE! PLUS THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR WARRANTY! NOT TO MENTI0N SOME OF MY NEW IRRIGATION SYSTEM IS ON MY NEIGHBORS PROPERTY AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!! DILLON IS NOT HONEST AND SPOKE TO ME HORRIBLY. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!

Very shocked walking in the store in the middle of an out of control pandemic! None of the staff was wearing a mask and no social distancing was observed. The Governor may not have a mask mandate but if your paying attention at all you would be more respectful of your customers! It is spreading like wildfire and I refuse to allow anyone to get me or my family sick!! Shame on you all! Obvious disregard, not going to get political. read more

I went to this location today. One person had a mask on. It is a small store. I had an employee, with no mask, trying to squeeze by me in a small aisle. Florida has a surge in cases, as well as Escambia County. I left and drove 15 miles to Home Depot, where people were wearing masks. Apparently the owners of this store, do not care about the safety of their customers or staff. read more

I couldn't have been farther off base in my assumption. The only similarity is the helpful staff working in the store, which gained this place an extra star. They greet patrons as they enter and offer to help them find things. Initially, I said I was going to browse around a little and pick up the things I needed. I ended up going back asking for help finding items I was looking for. The clerk working helped me look for the items I needed and then told me they are not actually an Ace Hardware Store anymore. They're an authorized Ace retailer, so they now sell some Ace products, but don't carry all normal items. She wasn't kidding! They don't carry most Ace products. No paint, no stain, etc. This place is mostly a feed store, I guess. I ended up going to Home Depot to get what I needed, they had it. I simply prefer to support the small businesses in a community. In this case, I bought two items at each place. I will try visiting another Ace hardware that's across town that the clerk recommended. I'm pretty sure I won't be back to this store.

These modern tool retailers always always make me…read moresad as I remember my youth when we still had the awesome American manufactured Sears Craftsman tool line which came with a lifetime warranty. While the name Craftsman tools still exists they are now mostly foreign made tools which do often come with a lifetime warranty but these imported tools are made differently than the USA tools so getting a real replacement can't happen. Harbor Freight does carry some American made tools but like most places these days they mostly carry imported tools. We do have a lot more choices for tool and hardware joints these days but none seem to measure up to Sears back during their peak times. Overall this place will have some of the things you need or sometimes all the things you need to get your project done.
