This is the first Harbor Freight I have visited. These modern tool retailers always always make me…read moresad as I remember my youth when we still had the awesome American manufactured Sears Craftsman tool line which came with a lifetime warranty. While the name Craftsman tools still exists they are now mostly foreign made tools which do often come with a lifetime warranty but these imported tools are made differently than the USA tools so getting a real replacement can't happen. Harbor Freight does carry some American made tools but like most places these days they mostly carry imported tools. We do have a lot more choices for tool and hardware joints these days but none seem to measure up to Sears back during their peak times. Overall this place will have some of the things you need or sometimes all the things you need to get your project done.

I've often been a customer at Ace Hardware locations all over the place. This is the first Ace…read morelocation I've visited in Lower Alabama and with little surprise it is very much like other Ace locations I've visited. Ace tends to have among the best customer service of any of the hardware type stores I've experienced. The folks working at most Ace locations actually seem cheerful and happy to help you find something or give suggestions on the best items for certain projects. The staff are also good about reminding you about available discounts and other money saving options. The experience at most Ace locations is far better than what you typically get at Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart.

About 2 years ago, I noticed there were fewer staff around, and things started to feel a little more difficult than I was used to. But in the last year or so, they've really ramped up their game, and the service has been excellent again, totally back to its normal self. I have been a fan of the brand and while factors vary by location continues to be the best I have experienced and continues to be my go-to for my many honey-do excursions. :-) ​Bottom line: These guys are still killing it. Most Home Depots tend to have decent customer service and this location followed that pattern. Overall with the app this is a good spot to find the things you need in an efficient manner. As a bonus this location is very near a Lowes and close to several other hardware stores just in case you can't find exactly what you need there are multiple other nearby locations that might have it.

The team is friendly and very helpful but not overly so (for when you just want to look around). They are a great local resource as opposed to the big orange and big blue boxes. We are lucky to have them here in lower Alabama.

My most recent visit here was for a sad duty to help my friend pick out some items to make a grave for his kid's dog that got killed by a car. We found some appropriate items but this Lowe's didn't have the prices clearly marked for some of the items and then they also didn't have any price stickers or bar code stickers on the items so we had to go all the way back out to the garden center area to get that data. Most Lowe's tend to have decent customer service and this location seems to have less than average customer service during the times I've visited here so some room for improvement. As a bonus this location is very near a Home Depot and close to several other hardware stores just in case you can't find exactly what you need there are multiple other nearby locations that might have it.

Today we went to get it and all was good the guy brought it out ,put it in the trunk then asked for a signature..with everything going on I didnt feel like signing anything ,I had no gloves etc etc and this covid is making me paranoid..anyway that is a weird policy for curbside as the reason we didnt go in was so we could just pick up,like everywhere else and have never had to sign anything..so for those doing pickup ,they should maybe not worry about the signature as you have my printed receipe..

So went here today to fill my 30 lb Propane bottle, I was charged for 9.4 gallons. This is…read morephysically impossible as a 30 lb propane bottle holds 7 gallons, or 7.4 when venting. We called the store and got the typical attitude with "well I dont know, maybe our machine is not calculating correctly but come back and I'll refund the two gallons" great but we're 10 miles away from this Paris Ace Hardware, so round trip 20 miles, all for their mistake. I've been in there before, everyone has a really bad attitude, seems they really don't like customers getting in their way. My advice is unless you like getting ripped off stay out of any Ace Hardware that says Paris Ace Hardware. There are other places to buy hardware, lumber, and propane without getting attitude and getting ripped off!!
