This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I waited approximately 30 minutes in line. When it was finally my turn, the cashier, Diane, made two very brief attempts to process a payment (30-60 seconds) and then abandoned my transaction to help another customer. When I explained that I had already been waiting for 30 minutes, I was ignored. After she returned, I repeatedly told her the ZIP code being entered was incorrect and that the transaction would be declined. She ignored me multiple times, continued processing the payment, and then acted surprised when it declined. When I pointed out that I had warned her several times, she responded, "I wasn't listening to you." That statement perfectly summarized the entire interaction. She was dismissive, argumentative, and unwilling to listen to the customer standing directly in front of her. The situation became even more shocking when she openly stated that she did not want to work there, was only filling in for someone else, and did not want to deal with customers. She then showed me her name tag and identified herself as Diane. Everyone has bad days, but customers should not have to wait 30 minutes only to be ignored, spoken to disrespectfully, and then told by the employee serving them that she doesn't want to be there in the first place. Lowe's management should review this interaction and provide additional customer service training or determine whether this employee is suited for a customer-facing position. read more

This location of Lowe's has a huge amount of stuff like most big box stores like Lowe's tend to do these days. My most recent visit here was for a sad duty to help my friend pick out some items to make a grave for his kid's dog that got killed by a car. We found some appropriate items but this Lowe's didn't have the prices clearly marked for some of the items and then they also didn't have any price stickers or bar code stickers on the items so we had to go all the way back out to the garden center area to get that data. Most Lowe's tend to have decent customer service and this location seems to have less than average customer service during the times I've visited here so some room for improvement. As a bonus this location is very near a Home Depot and close to several other hardware stores just in case you can't find exactly what you need there are multiple other nearby locations that might have it. read more

The service at this location is so pitiful. I stood in line for 20 minutes while one cashier checked out two customers with 8 items each. Meanwhile three other associates stood around joking. Keep in mind this was in the Pro/lumber checkout. I left the materials and went to Home Depot where they had all registered open and I checked out in five minutes. I went to Lowe's today to buy a kitchen cabinet, the man in the cabinet department ( Gary ) was very rude instead of trying to help me and figuring out what exactly size I needed, he thought it better to chuckle and roll his eyes. Every chance he got while talking to me... Then when I thought we had it all figured out, I said oh this doesn't come with a top and he said... No, you have to find you a countertop somewhere else, I guess he meant somewhere else in the store, and he continued to chuckle as if I'm dumb. I called the person I was getting the cabinet for and started telling him how I was being treated by this man, and told him... you will have to come with me because I doubt Gary would treat a man the way he's treating me, some people just feel the need to compensate. read more

On July 18, 2024 we had our countertops and backsplash installed by Stone Interiors. We ordered it from Lowe's and this is who they use. The installer they sent out was a sub contractor that Stone Interiors contracts with. The counter tops look good, however, when the installer was done with the backsplash I told him that the granite piece behind my stove looks different than the rest of the backsplash. He said it looks the same to him. I also voiced concern about the larger than expected gap on the left of the backsplash behind the stove. He said he would inform Stone Interiors. I contacted Jesslyn at Stone Interiors and she said she would have someone come look at it. Their manager Raul came out and said that the gap is larger than it should be, that it looks like the installer didn't level it correctly. He also could see the difference in appearance of the granite and would check their cut sheet. Raul was not good at getting back to me so I had to call Jesslyn again. Raul called me back and stated he would send out their installer out to take a look. Mark came out and confirmed that the installer didn't level the granite properly and that is why the gap is so big. He also said that Stone Interiors primarily uses sub contracted installer and that he is the only installer left at Stone Interiors. He also said that this particular sub contractor has had many complaints that he has had to fix. I waited to hear back from Raul on what the next step was and again, I had to call him as I had not heard from him. Raul came back out to our house and gave us a few options. He said they could try to remove the piece of backsplash behind our stove and flip it 180 degrees to see if it looks better because he said that the cut sheet shows that it was cut out of the same granite slab. He said they could also level it at that time to reduce to size of the gap. He did say that since the granite is so heavy it might cause accidental damage to our cabinets or vent hood that Lowe's had just installed. He said they would not be financially responsible if any damage occurred. We told Raul that his solution was not acceptable. We didn't feel like we should be financially responsible for any accidental damage that might be caused by them while trying to fix the improper installation done by their Sub Contractor. He asked me if there was a dollar amount that might make this situation more tolerable for us. We said that we will have to look at this for the rest of our lives as we just retired and won't have the ability to change this in the future. We threw out a dollar amount of $1600. He said it would have to come from Lowe's and that he would talk to our sales rep their in Foley about it. Again, we didn't hear back from Raul and while we were in Lowe's we talked to Gary who informed us that they don't have anything to do with this. Gary then emailed me with the phone number to the Lowe's customer solutions department. We called them and basically after going back and forth with them for over a month we were told by Lowe's that in the contract we signed it states that any damage they might do trying to correct the improper installation who be our financial responsibility as outlined in the contract we signed. They also said that Stone Interiors will not pay us any money for the improper installation. So basically, we have no options that do not involve financial risk on our part. It has taken over 2 months to get to this point. On a side note, Mark told us that Stone Interiors had continued to utilize a sub contractor that has had multiple complaints as the have trouble finding installers and Stone Interiors has let go all their installers except for him and a guy he was training. Buyer Beware if you are working with Lowe's and/or Stone Interiors as they will not accept responsibility for any financial accidental damage they cause. They refer to the contract that you must sign in order to work with them in purchasing and having them install countertops and backsplash, that states the area of installation is considered a construction site and therefore they are not responsible for any incidental damage. read more

Update to the update: after much confusion and no help from Lowe's, the item showed up on a Sunday night. It was in good shape and as ordered. Elevates them to 2 star. Update: I finally gave up and hung up just as Lowe's wants you to do after over an hour. Still on hold for the Cracker Jack Lowe's associate to help me after auto robot gave me the wrong info. Going on 15 minutes already. Ordered a Christmas item that is obviously time sensitive with a promised delivery of today. The tracking info from Lowe's is ambiguous at best. So here I sit in the loop of never never land waiting to see if anyone will actually assist me. If the item does not come today I miss another three days since it will be the weekend. This transaction will determine if I shop Lowe's online OR in person in the future. Poor poor service thus far. read more

This is a pretty typical Lowe's location but they do have a pickup system for the parking lot here. The garden center is very nicely stocked with very helpful and professional staff. The inside of the main store is neat, clean and well stocked with a handful of folks that are helpful and professional. They have preferential veterans parking spots adjacent to the garden area and let me give Lowe's a shout out for their honoring of veterans in general. Vets just need to go online on their site https://www.lowes.com and setup an account then register for the 10,% discount for all branches of service plus NOAA and US Public Health Services. You will get your discount both inside and when you order online which is a better system than Home Depot which will NOT give you your military discount on orders placed online, that's just rediculois. You might have to use or setup a verification service online like I'd.me at: https://www.id.me which my honey and I have used for lots of other services for years. Anyway that's an excellent offering from Lowe's and I appreciate any business goes the distance for veterans. Bottom line: I've spent over 40k at Home Depot in the not too distant future because I had an excellent relationship with my TN store and the folks right next door to this Lowe's have been good to me but I have no issues with giving some of my business to this Lowe's. read more

We love shopping at Lowe's, and do most of our home improvement shopping there, but we made the huge mistake of purchasing our window replacements through them. First they didn't honor the original install date, it was at least one month later than quoted. Finally when the windows were installed there were several major issues... and now two months later, they refuse to communicate with us as to when they will come out to resolve things. We ordered hurricane proof windows, two were installed with cracks in them, one window is not sealed properly and cold air is coming in, and no screens were delivered or installed. We call and call, are promised call back times which are not honored, and the installer says he has no recourse, it's terrible. I have always been a Lowe's fan and have made several major purchases at the Birmingham stores over the years. However the Foley store is beyond bad. I was there twice over the past two weeks and the results were the same both times. We went in first to look for carpet and was ready for an immediate purchase. They had to remeasure (even though the Pensacola store did it two months ago) but worse the salesman was clueless on carpeting Last week we went back to buy some lighting products and a bathroom mirror. This was around 730 am and after numerous pages we could never get assistance. We finally found the product and climbed up to get it ourselves. When we checked out we asked for the manager and they said he was not in yet. Lowe's is far too good of organization to allow this store to tarnish its good name. I drove to this store because the store by my house told me they had the product I was looking for in stock here. They didn't. They had something similar, but I didn't think I would be satisfied with what they had. I tried to find an employee to help me, but there was no one to be found. I went to the cashier to see if I could get some help. She paged someone to that department, but no one ever showed up. Finally, I found an employee working in the paint department. He went back to flooring with me and checked the computer. He said they did not have the tiles I was looking for, but he could order them. I thanked him and told him that wasn't necessary. Although I understood them not having what I needed in stock, and I did appreciate the two employees that were helpful, I was totally unimpressed with this store. They need to have enough employees to properly man the store. Horrible, horrible service. We bought a new washing machine with free installation. Our hoses were in fine shape so no need to replace them. When the delivery people got there they refused to install the washing machine because we did not buy new hoses. We were never told this was an issue. We had a representative there who screwed the old hoses into the new machine but these guys would not tighten them. Cost me an extra $100.00 to get a repair man to go there and tighten those hoses. I would not recommend you buy appliances from this store. read more

I arrived to this Lowe's with my 80 year old mother in tow and looking for a water filter for my fridge. I left with a Christmas tree, stockings and a surge protector along with some other smaller items. I never know how things like this happen. Needless to say, they were out of my water filters. I could not find anyone in the Christmas area to assist me, so found myself wandering past the self check out. JiJi kindly asked if she could help me with anything. I explained my situation and she checked me out and had someone get my tree from the shelf. Next was to find my mother in the store pushing a cart around as she looked at items waiting on me. Finding her in the garden area we meandered back to self checkout and scanned all our items. Then the military discount time and I had a gift card with a tiny amount left I thought I should finish. I tried to figure out how to use it, but couldn't. I pressed the assistance needed button and as I did I noticed a small hand written sign that stated "No military ID or store gift/credit cards accepted at this station." Just as I was leaving to move to an actual check out I passed JiJi and apologized for the mess I had created for her and everything needed to be deleted. JiJi told me to hang on a moment and follow her after a couple taps on the computer's screen. She was sweet enough to finish checking me out at her station with my military discount and gift card. NEVER once , in BOTH situations, was there any hesitation on her part to do her job to the very best of her capability and during these trying times it is rare to see. While you can find what you want at Lowes, you can't get help loading when you need it. My husband and I stopped by after church, we were in our nicer clothes. We bought 18 bags of marble chips, calls went out 3 times for help loading finally after waiting 20 mins we had to load them ourselves. We have a Home Depot right next door. They wouldn't even get 1 star if I didn't have to select it to do the review. 2 months ago. We contacted them to install 3 sliding glass doors. The guy came out and we never heard anything again. We paid $35 for him to come do the estimate. I have called for the past month, the 800 number plus the store, several times with no call backs. It's the worst experience ever! Said there was none just tell the cashier which one I wanted. Waited an hour to buy a refrigerator while the only person in appliances was working with a customer, she then went to check inventory, finally returned, rang him up, then had to go pull merchandise and help him load it. I had over 700' of vinyl fencing installed by the Foley Lowes. Hurricane Sally destroyed all of it. I wanted 4x4's installed, lowes rep said it's not necessary. The first time, i couldnt get through, the second time they put me on hold for 20 mins, and the final time they took my name and number and said theyd call me back but never did. However, home depot was prompt in setting up my measuring appointment, in fact they will be here tomorrow to do it, plus the same bamboo flooring at home depot was 1.97 a foot versus lowes at 3.99 a foot. read more

We ordered a stove for a rental property of ours. All good so far. We were given a 4 hour window (3:30 - 7:30 PM) for delivery. Because I am out of the area, I was trying to coordinate when our management company should got out to await delivery (4 hours is WAY to long to have them wait). No one at the Foley store would answer the phone despite multiple calls (sitting on hold for 20-30 minutes before call was disconnected) when I tried to coordinate. Their delivery service used by Lower (Spirit Logistics) was equally awful. Multiples calls (between 8:30 AM - noon) into their place before they finally answered (NOTE: after fifteen minutes, you can leave a message, but they never called back, so I kept on calling and holding). Finally, I got through at 12:02 and they agreed, they could give 30 minutes notice of when the truck would be on their way. At 12:12 PM, I get a phone call from the delivery truck that it was at my rental ... Over 3 hours outside the window provided. Also, the tracking tool provided had me at stop #10. I was able to track when they were at stop #1 ... a couple hours later, I saw they were at stop #6, then stop #5, then stop #4 (wrong order - WTH?) ... and then the phone call they were at my unit. After I was able to contact my management company and scramble to get someone to our home, Spirit Logistics corporate entity calls at 12:32 to say that the delivery truck was at our unit and I had 15 minutes to get someone to arrive. What the f~@! You give a short time to arrive when you are 3 hours 20 minutes early! Horrible service at the store. Horrible service with delivery. read more

Shopped this morning 7 / 6 2017 being Handicapped I was in need of some extra assistance. Steve in the plumbing was to my rescue. I needed some 1 1/4 " PVC pipe cut so it would fit in my car. If you're considering an appliance, or anything else for that matter, go elsewhere. Unless you love frustration, but it's cheaper to hit your head with a hammer. They improperly installed a dryer by crushing the vent tube for my aging mother. It never worked properly as a result and completely dies shortly out of warranty, a year later. Lowes own service department told her they installed it improperly, but she didn't buy an extended warranty. If she had, she was told, this wouldn't have happened. A $129 bill for that tidbit. Nice to be paid to admit your mistakes. When she called the store to complain, they tired to charge her $129 again, stating she hadn't paid for the service visit (CC receipt of course proves she had). Next, the appliance service department stated they could sell her the same dryer, at a bit of a discount, & she should by the extended warranty (If you don't, it appears they sabotage the install). I got involved thinking this borders on elder abuse. They discounted a replacement, but not by much claiming they have to maintain margins. I should have run, but I purchased a replacement. Mistake number two! First, they told her she hadn't paid for the vent tube or cord (she had), then they said they'd return a few days later. The next time they attempted to deliver to an address 5 miles away. Last week they promised to deliver & install this morning. Third time was a no show, no call. When my mother called this round, she was told she wasn't on their list. And, get this, I was told they are just as frustrated as I am! I've left numerous messages for the store manager, and have received no calls in return. I understand mistakes happen, I make them myself, but this crew can't fight their way out of a paper bag & what's more, they could care less. Inaction speaks louder than words. Here we re weeks later, still no dryer but endless excuses. Shame on you Lowes. read more
